I went from a 22 3500 Limited 68rfe Cummins to a 24 Chevy High Country Duramax this past August. Night and day difference. My biggest complaints about the Chevy are a lack of info in the gauge cluster, but that can be resolved with a BANKS iDASH and the fog lights don't pop on when you turn. Everything is great. You're going to like your GMC.
I had the EXACT OPPOSITE experience. Was MUCH happier going from GMC to Ram. Maybe New GMC is improved? Never had the screen noises and I'm in Florida.
Good summary! I had a 2019 Ram 2500 for 4 years and recently traded it. Transmission was going into limp mode and starting to get the lifter tick. The switch to hydraulic lifters is a hot topic on the Ram forums lately. Mine sounded like a loud ancient typewriter that was steadily getting worse. On the plus side was a pre-covid build and had zero rattles or issues with the interior. Unfortunately that’s a minor thing when faced with the mechanical problems.
Post Covid vehicles suck!! I own a 2019 same truck. Full deleted at 40k miles. Just put a RevMax valve body because the 68rfe stock valve body doesn’t like a lot of line pressure. But the 68rfe have a bad rap. Delete, delete, delete any diesel lol
Not yet....I think it's all speculation right now. TLF Truck has been following the new models pretty close. I'm sure they will be one of the first to break the news. I'm sure Cummins has something up their sleeves with their engines as well. @@calebsiegler5471
