@@trevormiracle9165isn’t that crazy if you teally think about it? I wonder if they were given a second chance if they would order it with a cup holder instead
My 98 has 2 cup holders but has an ashtray insert in it. I wish I didn't have the cassette deck and cd deck top and bottom and had a cubby hole to put small things. I can take the ashtray cup out and use both holders.
Very refreshing to see sumbody taking pride in their regular degular car💪🏽🔥 I had an 86 Toyota Camry box bucket at one point in my life, but how i used to get alla baddies inna city tho😎
Ive got that 4.6l 2v in my 08 f150. It's bare bones functional, and i get ~20mpg on the highway so Im happy with it. Plus, it shares motor mount locations with a coyote to my understanding, so it's a party waiting to happen
Them Cobras used to be THE car. My buddy Justin had a 97 with a 347 stroker and a small procharger. That was the funnest ride to school ever! Bro if I could go back to 2007 😭
Man I bought one in Highschool and I loved it. It was the 5.0, I remember showing it off in the parking lot revving the engine. I then sold it for something that would help me with my job. A 2003 ford explorer 4.6 AWD. Fun car easy to work on. Definitely buying another one in the future
That Ford explorer generation is known to be one of the worst cars ever, nicknamed the exploder. I basically became a mechanic after owning one. And any time I'd bring it to a shop there was always another exploder in it
@@bub305 yeah a bunch of people tell me that but mine came out lucky I guess I’m still driving and I have no issues. I may need to change the wheel bearings soon though
@drunk_by_noon9231 my transmission was fine I just made sure to change the fluid twice while I owned it. It was the motor that blew. I don't know anything about the 1st gen.
Save up for one??? Hahaha I bought my 96 gt vert for 1000 it’s black with gold stripes it also has the roll bar and bbk shorty headers and all 4 bbk lowering springs I came tf up only 103k!! I never liked mustangs but I like mine now haha
@@PeePee666PooPoo _The early 2000s Maximas had the vq engine they're total sleepers a lot of ppl over look them since it's considered a family sedan, but they can put down decent power._
I have loved all three of mine they where convertible. 98 sliver, gt 5speed 98 white gt automatic, 89 notch back 5speed, and 97 V6 hardtop with sun roof conversion to a 302 carb. B303 can with crancam roller rockers with roller lifters. Mustang guy I only wrecked one only put a scratch on the front bumper. Then a year ago my first mustang was in the junk yard. I went and got the body and what was left of it because the trans went out. Bought another 98 gt parts car put it back together in to weeks brand new 5peed trans, the motor was in good shape, brand new upper intake ,spark plug wires ,coil pack , clutch resurfaced flywheel alternator. It still needs a lot of work paint and inside but it runs again. Sorry I’m a mustang y’all didn’t have to read this but glad you did. Best of luck to the mustang cowboys.
It’s a classic put some love into it. Space out the rims, change the headlights, upgrade rear lights and black them out, get your leather touched up by an upholster, paint your rotors, get new weather stripping and a fresh convertible top and a professional detail. Fresh up the engine and exhaust you’ll definitely be satisfied.
Cams don’t do much to a 4.6 they are super boost friendly though. Blocks can hold up to 800whp. Do Pi heads and intake for more compression. More compression = More power than the 1999-2004 mustang gt motors. Then FBO. If you do plan on boosting though I highly suggest putting in the Manley forged internals because they are the ones who put forged internals in the 04 cobras. The internals in 4.6’s are super delicate and will only handle under 420whp safely
Like it or not, the 4.6 2v is probably the reason this thing hasn't blown up yet and is sitting a junkyard. I've heard people knock this motor, but I know guys with cars that started as police cars, then turned into taxies, then sold back to the civilian market with over 600k miles on them. Also there are videos and documentation of 4.6 2vs with over 1 million miles on them. Show me one 5.0, 4.6 3v or any Mustang motor period that can take a beating like this. I personally drive a 2011 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor SAP with 102k miles and 600 idle hours. It has 250 hp stock and about 280 hp with the upgrades I've done to it. I've seen 120mph many times and the car handles the speed. It's not a drag car. It's meant for high speed, and it's probably the most reliable car ever made in the US period. Praise God you have Mustang with this motor.
1993 F-150, has zero cupholders in the front. Two in the back, but they're short. Windsor 5.0, but the fuel pump is dying. Putting a new one in later today.
I had a 98 GT 5spd as the first car I ever purchased in my name when I turned 18. I loved it so much, not very fast but it was quick that gas pedal was real responsive. I ended up not being able to afford gas in it anymore and sold it, bought a civic, then about a year later i bought a 2000 Mustang GT 5spd and I’ve had it now for a couple of months. Got it up on jaclstands in my garage right now doing a whole front end suspension rebuild but I can’t wait to drive it again
I found myself driving it more than her.. my pal borrowed it once for a weekend wedding in the summer , he came back and said he wanted to buy it and it was faster than he would ever imagine. He had a v8 m5 at the time so I was surprised at his interest
i legit never used my cup holder in the center cubby to the point where i forgot it was even there until you just showed me that (i also haven’t driven the car in over a year😂)
03 Silverado- the fact that some things in the interior are just so fragile don’t get me wrong for a 20 year old truck it runs amazing but them damn window switches break way too easily not to mention the other stuff switches, center console, glove box, door handles, plastics, so much stuff I can’t even name
I got a 21 mustang convertible and despite the 4 cylinder engine it still is incredibly fast. Shows how the future of engines won’t be more cylinders but stronger engines
Ive had my 2001 mustang gt for about 2 years now, my first car and i love it.. decent power to have fun, so analog and simple and one of my favorite mustangs bc i grew up seeing them (born in 02) but now it makes a little over 520 whp.. Ls swapped it bc i blew the motor a little after buying it.. wish i couldve enjoyed it stock for a little longer but it was high mileage and i way overpaid but yeah the sn95 platform i love, the new edges more but still
94-97 the hood and side scoops are functional. Yes it is a minimal air effect but they are functional unlike the second portion of sn95 new edge which carry over faux scoops😊
Just drill the holes in the vents and make them functional. My dad and i made an intake under my front bumper for my firebird because they don't get much air to the motor. So my dad being and old hot rodder, helped me make and bolt up an intake under the car
Gotta say though i have a 97 grand marquis and 4.6 Is A Great Building block "best bang for buck". Intake manifold with deeper wider runners ,BBK throttle plenum with 75mm throttle body- NOTE: yes you can have a bbk throttle plenum to your crown vic/ marquis the only problem is the name will be backwards but everything fits the same way, and add little more fuel flow. Decent torque and power can be made. Yes not alot but enough to put out a smile.
@@badbikos2266 buying one this weekend for 9500. But it has brand new interior, fresh paint job, 2500$ airlift set up, 93 octane tuned, stop tech brakes, 3 piece weds, subframe connectors, exhaust mid pipe tb, Saleen spoiler, and a few more things done to it. Fresh af
Never been a fan of the 4.6. The 3.8s are so restricted by the intake and exhaust that with just a decent true dual exhaust, some bolt ons and a tune you can get the same power if not more than a stock 4.6 and you have way more room in the engine bay to work. Not to mention they'll comfortable run a single turbo at 6lb and put well over 300rwhp with no internal engine mods and all of the upgraded suspension parts and the 8.8 lsd rear end are direct bolt on swaps from GTs. 3.8 SN95s are extremely underrated imo
One thing I love about my car is that is a cammed out Pontiac with a supercharger pushing 420 hp burn out machine and I paid $6000 in total for the car
Fun fact: you can make the side scoops functional by knocking the center out. They wont do anything unless you put a heat exchanger in there, but they have a full flow capability out the back.
I had a 02’ vert gt years ago when I was in the Marines. It was rattly as hell with the top up and all it had was flows and a k&n intake, but I still miss it daily.
I had the same complaints about mine besides the convertible. You can get an ashtray to cup holder conversion kit (have Ong a manual it doesn’t really have too much convenience bc when towing through gears you hit the cup with your hand 😂
My battery is under two layers of cowl and you have to remove both, plus the wipers, plus unscrew the brake reservoir to get access. And you have to re-index the wipers afterwards, which is a pain.
2001 mustang GT has two cup holders, but since mine is a manual the one closest to the shifter is useless, so in effect it has one cup holder and a spot to put loose change
My first car was a 1995 GT 5.0 Vert and agree with a lot of these things but still loved that car. Learned so much before moving onto a 95 Cobra, x2 98 Cobras and then an 2003 Cobra with 450rwhp. The Terminator was my favorite.
Go to a salvage yard with a toolbox and look for Toyota Siennas, they have a super sturdy cup holder you can unscrew and screw in right under your glovebox on the left side. Works like a charm and actually holds large drinks lmaooo
Got a 92 soft top vert, and my 5 thing's are just about the same as yours. 1. Wind noise and road noise, gotta yell to be heard 2. 0 Cup holders, my cup holder is the lil gap between the passenger seat and the e-brake😭 3. It's a 5.0 but windsors don't really move like that, still love it tho 4. Backseat space? what's that? 5. Foxbodies are soft as hell, body twist comes by just looking at them wrong so you NEED them frame connectors and torque box reinforcement. Love the 97 vert big homie! 🙏
I got a 1988 holden astra. It's got a ca18det It's all engineered for Canberra. The things I hate. 1.. I pulled it apart and haven't put it back together. 2.. It chews fuel. 3.. the roof needs repainting. 4.. it needs a bigger turbo. 5.. It's a money pit.. 6.. 7.. 8.. 9.. 10.. To be honest I love it...
My mom had a 95' with a v6. Not necessarily the fastest stang out there, but somehow it never gave out, we'd get through the winter with it by some miracle, yet the scoops were functional lol. Had to let it go when we moved out.
