This truck is horrible. Like hideous and dont understand how someone thinks this looks good. Lol like its laughable. This guy does cross-fit and voted for Biden for sure
I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 high country that is fully loaded and it actually does have the buttons on the back door to unlock it. I must of gotten lucky and found a golden gem lol
The complaints seem pretentious on the surface…but I completely agree with needing more refinement in the interior of such an expensive vehicle. Quality is important of all trim levels, but the higher/highest trim levels should always have the best build quality. Product needs to match the price
One thing I’m always glad about these I hate videos is that it’s never more than 5 things and I can deal with that. but if it was 6 then I would definitely have a major problem.
that truck looks like shit, .....this must be a mid west thing cuz I see a ton of em on YT from there....JC cant even comprehend spending a bunch of money to end up with that
Yeah, the gearshift in front of the screen is honestly the biggest fuck up in a modern vehicle.. like absolute mind blowing who the fuck needs to get fired. The Chevy model is definitely not as bad, but it still blocks your toggle switches and your exhaust brake switch because the screen is a little higher in the Chevy model. It was only designed for the half tons with the centre console shifter.
I love the ultimate interior just not a fan of the price. I’m looking at just a regular 2022-23 Denali HD,Might look at some 2020’s too if the mileage is below 50k. You love your 2020 duramax?
If the infotainment screen is identical to the new 1500, you can actually make the maps full screen for sure on android auto, not sure why not on apple if just that application. If they changed that just for the heavy duty then thats a bummer
jack, I completely see where you are coming from with this, I hope that GM gets the message!!! I think you tend to notice all the little things such as the sunroof button due to all the Audi's you have owned. As my Audi is 7 years older than that truck and has many of those features that the GM is missing...
13:20 to be honest having the trailer brake there is better than the previous gen, because when some asshole cuts in front of you and slams their brakes on while you're towing 15k pounds, you want that brake controller to be as quick and easy to grab as possible.
Trucks are getting expensive but quality keeps going down. You can go see a new ford or gm truck and their leather looks beat up. Dodge has been the best quality interior and not as pricey as these models like an ultimate or king ranch.
2024 Chevy 2500 HD Duramax LTZ here. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS! Limp mode and dashboard lights at 200 miles. Happened several times after. Software update from dealer, hard shifting. 2200 miles, transmission leaking. This model year is a LEMON! DO NOT BUY! This thing has and MSRP of $87K! The dealer can give 2 craps about it.......The worst purchase of my life
What s the point of having a diesel in that truck? You aren’t going to be pulling or hauling any significant loads with that suspension and wheels. Because you can, I guess. More power to you.
What I don't like about the Denali Ultimate 2500 Needs more comfortable seats like platinum or limited Ford power tailgate 400 watt outlet in bed is useless need at least 2K like in platinum Ford Needs locking underseat storage full size to seat like Ford Locking console with more depth seat memory options not good massage and lumbar controls are not user friendly Move the trailer brake control and add Cup holder or space like Ford Power steering wheel and pedal adjustments would be great Super Cruise on the 2500 should be there A button for camera without going through screens automatic running boards should be extend fully Fuel economy so far is less than my king ranch Likes Onstar for 3 years with data google maps bed liner installed at factory Better ride on rough roads Brake pad monitor I prefer the sunroof to the pano sunroof of Ford, less heat in summer
Headlights look almost Ford F150 ish. Just about all of the new trucks in the 1500/2500/3500 lack quality and care. And with a nice equipped 2500/3500 just shy of a 100k that is pretty bad.
Ahhhh yes 1st world problems,,,,,,who can afford these things? I’m rockin my 04 duramax yet… you know why??? I can’t afford a new one, may be you could be a little less pretentious
Okay sunroof kinda ticked me off. My wife 2020 premier equinox 2.0 turbo I I can have tilt and just hit open and it'll close, then open... GMC lacked on the "conveniences" wowwwww
sorry kind of harsh but most people would love to be able to buy a truck like this not believable that someone like yourself could own a truck like this I've recently test drove this truck and compared to 80s 90s trucks its hard to agree with you
I’m sorry to hear that you bought one and supported those idiots. Now the world is going to change for the worse because poor engineering is excepted because it’s shiny
What I think GM should have done, is move the screen upwards to where the air vents are and put the air vents below the screen. Along with the screen put the button for power and volume in the top left corner of the screen. The home button should be centralized right under the screen where everyone has easy access. Being a family man myself I believe its just as important to have functionality for the family, as well as the driver.
My guess is the blank button all the way to the right will be the rear differential lock on the AT4x HD trucks. I have a ‘24 AT4 and it has the blank switch as well.
First face lift is always going to have potential issues. I get the points you are making, especially with that price tag you expect a bit more money and engineering spent on the little things. Hopefully they all get adjusted in coming year models
I HAVE A 2005 DURMMAX DIESEL 2500 HD 4WD SUPENISION IS BEEFED UP ONLY HAS 145000 MILES. IT PULLS AND DRIVES JUST FIND. I HAD MINOR PROBLEMS BUT I LOVE THE PAYMENTS. ITS PAID FOR.
I hate the 2022 GMC AT4 2500, this truck was the worst pick up I have ever owned. Paid the big bucks to own one, all that luxury and misfit interior. That truck spent more time with the local dealer than in my garage. It seemed I had to pay for visiting right to see what the dealer was doing to get it home. Nothing! You name a problem this truck suffered from it. After almost a year of dealer having possession I got fed up. They bought it back after my attorney explained the details of the LEMON LAWS!! This truck had only 6,478 miles most by the dealer. Never again make that mistake purchasing a GM product. No craftsmanship anywhere.
Oh boy lol. More of the same lol. I had a 2021 hd Denali and got rid of it as soon as I could. Clunky steering, wandering down the road. 17 mpg best. Towing what a normal 1/2 ton would tow it would buck and surge. I liked how they put lights on the mirrors but ya can’t use them unless in park. Got a tundra tundra platinum then gmc AT4 carbon pro 3.0 Duramax, nice truck if you can over look hard seats and ford escort front end. Then went back to the 2019 HD Duramax Denali. Just over all built like a truck is supposed to. It’s the truck that made it all worth it. If trump built a truck or wanted one or ordered one it would be the 2019 hd Duramax. It’s the last of what’s left of our true engineering heritage. Now it’s all gone. These trucks will be the most sought after.
I'd be willing to bet that the screen/shifter issue was done knowing they'd get enough whining to force the switch to the console shifter across the lineup. It'd be cheaper for them to have one shifter option from a manufacturing standpoint. As far as the interior quality, American auto makers have always been about quantity over quality. They know that brand loyalty will have the majority of their buyers coming back to buy the next same refreshed model with a few added bells and whistles. American vehicles just arent built to last especially in the northern states. Coming for a guy who's owned multiple Gm products throughout life.
I have the 2021 screen I will say it may seem outdated however I found the Alexa and Google work all the time. the infotainment works every time easy to reach controls and full charging pad. It doesn't show fingerprints. I do love the new seats looks great.
i hate that they still put carpet in trucks and i also hate the slider back window. we want a full size roll down back window, the truck beds should all be composite now too
the sunroof controls never needed to be more than 1 switch.. hell my 2010 cobalt ss is only one switch and i can slide it back from the tilt position.. smh
If you're towing, the trailer brake is well placed. It's easily accessed in an emergency and not confused for anything else. As a father traveling with his kids, I'll prioritize safety over aesthetics any day.
Do you have a light in your lower glove box? I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 upper/ mid tier trim and there’s no light in my glove box. Like, why? I think there should be one in both compartments imo
They should have used the vent as the Chevy silverado and layout of the infortatianment in line with the digital cluster and kept the gmc ac control and buttons the same below to make it different.
My 2012 Chrysler 300 S v6 has that back handle unlock with the keyless entry and it is really really convenient I would think that my girlfriends 2023 K5 GTLine would have that feature but it doesn’t 😢so I guess seeing that you have that same issue when you got to opening your truck well I guess that’s an option that the manufacturer is not doing quite yet
I’m upset mine doesn’t lift the tailgate like the Chevy… I use the tailgate multiple times a day most the time my hands are full. Just a cool option that I wish my Denali had.
I have a 2022 GMC sierra 1500 Elevation Limited mine has the button on all 4 doors which is great have to agree. You have heated mirrors on that? Plus interior lighting could be better
Jack you should try and get a set of front door handles they should fit in the back and have them wired into the same wires that works the front then you should have the button unlock door handles in the back
The new Ford F350 did that with CarPlay too. Only allowing you to use it half screen but they did an update and now it fills the whole screen so maybe GM will eventually do the same
