Love this car...had been looking for a 2010-12 Starfire pearl for about 2 years. Finally found one with about average miles perfect paint. JoeZ exhaust/dry filter intake. Super rare, not one around where I live, right along with my 02 IS300 Sportcross. No one has either. Plenty of 250's and 350's. The ISF with the JoeZ exhaust turns heads, straight sleeper. Downshifts are even better.
Something he might have left out,those supercharged F motors that been putting down 600whp+ for years,have the stock 12.3 compression ratio,and still haven't blown up. Uncle Toyoda watching out for us. Btw,watching you knock suckaz out,makes me regret going LS460 over ISF.
Good points! The engine is great and the sounds it makes, even stock, are intoxicating. It always tickles me that it's a freaking Lexus that sounds like that! Another thing I love - no rattles! The overall quality is top notch.
Thanks! I am not a fan of how muted the ISFs sound when stock, seems way too quiet for what this engine is capable of sounding like. I don't have any rattles in my car and the sound dampening is good, exhaust changed that a bit but that's what I wanted.
@@ISFASTER Yeah, definitely sounds better with exhaust mods. Regarding sound control, all the different rubber weatherstrips for the front and rear doors really shows Lexus's obsessive attention to detail!
Own a 2011 ISF same color. But with navigation and levinson sound. You are a great driver. I think Lexus diluted the F cache with the whole F Sport branding, but whatevs!
Thanks! Yeah, it’s an industry wide problem, M Sport, AMG Sport. I guess they want to appeal to more of their customer base regardless it it takes away from their high performance line.
Ima get one before they get too expensive man. When i firat bought my is 350 it cost me 12 at a carmax now they dont even have one for sale in my city and they go for 17 or 18 sometimes. The is f was like 21 or so but now i see it at around 30 if you see it.
You can still get F's in the lower 20s but will usually be 2008s with higher mileage. But they are getting more and more rare as they get into accidents, flood damage, parted out so I would try and get the cleanest example you can find and if you find a good one you better hop on it quick as it will sell fast.
Yeah, you’ve gotta be quick with them if they’re priced well, decent miles and newer. I’ve had good experiences with the Lexus dealers I’ve had encounters with but I would just keep an eye out for them as they’re rare, especially the ones I mentioned above.
Great video! I was surprised what you spend on tires, thought they would be more. Im hoping to get a white one myself in the next year. Im thinking 2010 plus.....seems like the best bet
Thanks! Yeah, I would recommend the 2010+ since it has the LSD starting that year, the big refresh came in 2011 with the suspension upgrades, updated headlights, alcantara interior and new gauge cluster. I hope you can find a good example and enjoy her!
There are literally only around 30 cars for sale on the biggest site for entire Europe. These things WILL be going up in price and not in very distant future I imagine (especially as Lexus has stupidly missed out on dropping that V8 in the new 3IS.)
just subscribed and looked 5 things you hate and love about the ISF; I'm currently looking for either an M3 E92 used car from 2010 but also wondering about getting a 2010 ISF; what you would recommend for a daily all-around ? would you change your ISF for an M3?
I have not owned or had extended experiences with the e92 but really do like my ISF. I recommend trying to get as much seat time in each one to see which one feels good to you. Also do some research into the running costs and maintenance items for the e92, I’m sure there are good videos on RU-vid that cover those. @@ISFASTER as a normal road user who sometimes does a spirted drive. Longevity is my main concern. Also as mines a hybrid 450h mk4 I’m lead to believe the brakes pads should last a long time?
Go out and give one a test drive, I'm sure you'll like it. I previously owned a Gen I Mazdaspeed3 and enjoyed that hot hatch. You'll definitely miss the boost hit but overall I like my ISF more.
ISFASTER I actually test drove a speed3, but it was modified, and sounded terrible. Then god/alien guide/or matrix master blessed me by putting a super low mileage 2010 ISF for sale 5 miles away, by an older mother that had the average MPG at 22, and 23, a feat I only pull off with pure hwy driving. She basically gifted it to me for 200 dollars over Lexus’s ridiculous low ball trade in offer.
@@ISFASTER thanks for the reply.. i really hope they make one. been recently studying the lexus brand more in depth, and i love the build quality and design.. (the insane reliability of the older ones too..) one thing that kinda puts me off this car though that i just looked up... is the weight, 3800 pounds... man that is heavy :/ almost like an e39 m5. i know its not super heavy compared to modern standards but man i wish it was 3500ish.
Yeah, my ISF has been very reliable. You’re right about the weight but she’s still pretty fun to drive and does well on a road course. There’s places to shave weight on the car if you want to go down that road.
There’s a couple different vendors that sell headers. The main headers are made by PPE, SIKKY, NOVEL with PPE being the most popular ones from people that I know.
Just curious can anyone point out if there is a difference Between the ISF 2010 and the say the last couple of years of production of this vehicle cause I found a really good 2010 model year I just don’t want to feel like I’m missing something any help would be welcome and thanks
2011+ got a revised suspension, newer style headlights, alcantera interior(2014 went back to full leather), updated gauge cluster just to name a few things. Check out clublexus.com for a complete list of updates.
Some people have said its easier on their back as the first suspension was too harsh. Best course of action to to drive a 2008-2010 vs 2011+ and see if you can feel a difference.
