Eric Weisbrot yea.... but not ALL the time. The few times I play splatoon 2, throughly the week, the mode is closed, unless I play on the weekends. That mode is what I truly love about S2 but can’t play it because “reasons”
Salmon Run = my favorite gamemode. Enters game. Salmon Run is closed. Becomes sad. Doesn't do as well in Turf War as I would have if I was happy. Gets fired from job next day due to unhappy attitude. Wife leaves me when I come home still depressed. Dog runs away. I sleep alone in bed now.
In all seriousness though, the reason they have a schedule is that so people wouldn't only play salmon run. It's just that too many people look over this and blame it as a huge mistake
I think the set times with salmon run kinda link to the concept that it's like some sort of illegal drug-type business. With the way things are said and the general atmosphere, it definitely feels like that xD
I hate people who say that Splatoon 2 is same as Splatoon. There is only so much you can improve upon a multiplayer game. Saying Splatoon 2 is the same as Splatoon is like saying Street Fighter 5 is the same as Street Fighter 4.

★ Froggie Animation ★ Facts are opinions now? It is a fact that Splatoon 2 is different than Splatoon 2. This is not a Mario Kart 8 and Deluxe thing. The core game is different. From the UI, to the hub, to the ability chunks, to better graphics, to different special weapons to the core weapons themselves. Look at people going back to Splatoon 1 from Splatoon 2. They have a hard time adapting immediately because the core gameplay and balance in Splatoon 2 is much different. So anyone saying that Splatoon 2 is the same as Splatoon 1 is flat out wrong.

Be happy with the news they don't do it every 2 hours when the maps changed, like last Splatoon they would announce the maps every 4 hours with the news.
The Motioncontrolproblem works if you lay you're head on a pillow! And the limited Salmon Run is because it's a Job and you don't work all the time and Nintendo wan't you also to play the other modes! Btw i already watched the Video a while ago and only now Comment. I also saw someone saying that Salmons only come out at specific times!
Pretty sure the Salmon Run schedule was also to prevent the servers from becoming overcrowded--opening it up only at times when traffic is typically tame.
I hope Splatfest won't be "I'm going to pick the team of my Waifu!!!" I was one of the few people who picked Marinas team because I actually liked what she picked, same with Ketchup. But a lot of people picked Marinas team because she really liked her. I don't think this is very fair to Pearl, and it takes all the fun away when everyone is on one team. I will pick Pearls team if I have to, because I want to make these fair.
Spring Bonnie I like Ice Cream more, especially because it's summer. I like ketchup more because it seems much more versatile to me as a condiment (though perhaps not as an ingredient).

It's supposed to accentuate the fact that something is outdated. As in group chats have been around for a long time, long before 2017, and it's currently 2017 so why does this game still struggle with voice chat
I agree with the replies. I also wish there were a screen for when you're waiting to join a friend who is in a match. You know, other than a glorified countdown to the next match? Like. Even a top view of the map in real time would be nice.
PaperPopper, I can't do motion controlls on splat2 because I play in handheld most of the time and moving my screen around is very inconvenient. Also putting the the stick sensitivity a bit higher makes it nicer to use.
I use more sticks but motion control as assist. Worst thing is when i going to play bf on ps4 after playing splatoon. And triggering because motion controlls dont work. And i know they dont exist in bf :D
I like Marina because I agree with her on most things and she makes me laugh more. Nothing wrong with Pearl at all, I just find Marina more aesthetically and socially pleasing.

0:53 Is it bad that I used to do that? I got to S+ in Splatoon 1 by just playing Splat Zones so..... At least I’m S+ in all the modes now. Now I have better confidence in all the modes I play in, which is a good thing for everyone. :)
The mandatory news is much less annoying than it was in Splatoon 1, since it doesn't give it you whenever the modes change, just when something Significant (e.g. new weapon... Grizzco hiring...) changes. Like, I get you - if you're switching in and out of Splatoon a lot you see it a lot, but if you're just putting the console to sleep you get it once every day or two depending on how often Grizzco's hiring right now. I also don't disagree with you on Salmon Run but at the same time know I'd play it a lot less if it were always on, paradoxically. Now? It's on? I want to get 600p in it to get the shiny egg, meaning I'm playing - depending on how well I do and my current paygrade, anywhere from about 6-20 games of it in the 16-24 hours it's open. Always on? I'd probably play it about as often as I play ranked - 5 or so in a session every few days.
Cole Davis I'm with You! I really like Pearl. I think her rapping goes amazing well with Marina's singing and the fact that she befriended a Octoling when probably some prejudice against them is very admirable.

I stand by Nintendo's decision to exclude the feature. It isn't Nintendo. It is human beings. If it weren't for those a** holes (and I'm one of them, just like you are, even if you don't know it), we'd probably get better things in life e.g. less expensive car insurance, free universities, free language courses. Having separate rankings in ranked battles is great because in the original game, I ranked down a lot usually when I was playing a certain mode, which my ranking is great. However, it kinda takes the fun out of the challenge and rank though. But that is just me.

I entirely can't wait to pick up this game when I (finally) get a Switch. I never had the chance to pick up Splatoon 1, so I feel as if this sequel will be a great place to start.

i know i’m committing necromancy on this dead comment but stick controls aren’t as good as motion controls for a lot of people, and motion is broken and needs to be fixed upside down, it’s not just a preference thing
8:55 They did that to make the world more realistic, as in the lore it says that the Salmonids come to Inkling territory every 75 years, and in the real world, salmon have seasons, so you need to pick when the seasons are in and highest so you get the most output, even at the risk of wiping your team
