Pedro Clea Or two young inklings who unfortunately died on an incident in the museum long time ago. It involves water too so my guess is that long time ago when the museum was in it's early days after opening there were two inkling toddlers who were playing tag together that night and one tripped over something, bumping into her sister or friend and falling to the water near the statues killing the instantly. Fast forward to today and the owner decided to remodel the museum, changing the layout of the statues and many other stuff to make space for the spinning platforms. Rumors started spreading about the statues being haunted, and at last when adventurous squids went alone to recon the stage in Splatfest they heard those creepy laughs that once belonged to two playful souls who sadly passed away in the most horrific and painful way imaginable (at least for them)

ACTUALLY, one of the laughs are VEEEEERY similar to- Can you guess? No? Midna’s laugh. (I discovered this when I was listening to the assist trophies’ voice lines in smash ultimate) It also sounds like Skull kid’s giggles. (There’s a weird theme of Zelda characters here)

While there are others before her/him who did die, we do get canon lore that only 'the best' were blended, which most likely means that the Sanitizied Octolings we fight might be those previous test subjects. That being said, since Sanitized Octolings show no signs of life, they are as good as dead.

Hell valley sky trees in Mario galaxy 1 I believe 2. Ghost in super Mario 3D land at the end of 4-4 I think and you have to walk into a corner and you will soon see a ghost that looks very odd 3. Toilet hand in majoras mask and skyward sword, both of these are funny but unsettling mainly in skyward sword because after giving the paper to the toilet hand (or Colin’s letter), she goes into Collins HOUSE and is now in love with Collin and can be seen rubbing Collins back as he sleeps 4. Y’all probably already knew about this one because it’s a dead meme, it’s the Nintendo switch parental controls, wait what where’s the Pokémon stuff like ghost girl and all that crap, well it’s the Pokémon stuff, creepy pokedex and ghost girl, although they’re both different I feel like they’re connected in A way. 5. Luigi’s hanging shadow in the Luigi’s mansion GameCube launch title, at some point in the game Luigi’s the power goes out and Luigi answers a phone, and then a thunder strikes and you can see the room in all of its glory but then you look at Luigi’s shadow and it looks like Luigi has... hung himself, hell we have proof Luigi’s mansion was gonna be scarier than it was, it would have a depressed Luigi game over scene, and some other spooky stuff (check out tetrabitgamings videos on these 2 topics for a more clear explanation) Well this reply is getting really long so ima shut up now

Well, we hear from Cuttlefish that 8 and 3 were battling in Octo Canyon. This can lead us to believe that 8 is most likely an octoling in training, due to the different gear and younger appearance. As for the glasses all Octolings wear, they were probably destroyed in the fall after they were liberated by the Calamari Inkantation, hence the memory loss and hearing the song while dreaming.

Like with the boss room sounds in the first game, certain developers on the team can slip things under the radar. It's not so much Nintendo themselves allowing these things to get in, but rather the lead designers of the game failing to catch what the rest of their team is putting in. I think sometimes developers just like to sneak things in because they know it gets us talking.

2 might do a bit bettet, with Salmon Run. Take a quick look at the handbook in game and you don't even need to theorize. It's just dark and somewhat disturbing. Lets not forget when it turns night-time, flies appear, and a massive endless horde of glowing red-eyed salmonoids rush out of the water full steam ahead towards whoever has the flies, mauling literally anything in their path.

thats actually common in Cod games, in cod5WAW the multiplayer asylum map, it have a creppy piano song in an inaccesible room (you might still find some videos about it but its onle on xbox 360/ps3/pc), something that i remember perfectly is that the wii version of that game have something extremely different, it has no piano in the multiplayer map, however, the campaing mision of the asylum, had something disturbing in some of the doors, when walking to a door that also i inaccesible, you could hear like a baby lullaby song and it wont stop, if you continue the mision almost to the end and return to that part, you´ll hear that the music suddenly stop and then someone laughts like crazy for 2 seconds, and thats only on the wii version, i tried on the others and nothing, i want to check that again, maybe i missed something, its really creepy

You have to remember, Splatoon takes place 10,000 years in the future on Earth. Our Earth. So there really isn't any room for supernatural occurrences like that.
