Just in case no one knew, what’s even easier than the break hold, sitting in bumper to bumper traffic, is having the car on cruise control with the assistive driving features on. As you come up on a car, your car slows down, and as that car takes off, so does your car. If the car in front of your stops, so will your car, and if your car is stopped for longer than roughly 5 seconds or so, you’ll have to simply and lightly tap the gas and it’ll take back off again still being in cruise control. By far one is my most favorite FEATURES.

Don’t forget the windows feature. Hold your unlock button for 3 seconds and all windows will roll down and sunroof will open. If you put the key in the drivers door and turn it to the left and hold for 3 seconds all the windows will roll back up without you having to turn your car on 🙂
I have the 2019 EX version and because I'm old school I find it hard to relinquish some of my control over to the car, even though I know it's likely not to fail me. So everywhere I drive, it's a back and forth dance between my skill as a driver and a moment here in there where I allow the car to do something that I've done countless times on my own. Each time I hold my breath slightly and hope it doesn't fail me. How exciting it is to lock onto the car in front of me and know that if that car where to suddenly brake, my car would apply the brakes as well. We are all distracted drivers, a moment here, a moment there when you are looking somewhere other than straight ahead. This safety-net feature is by far the most impressive to me. I'm not sure how much of this was available on the 2018 models.
Very fine review. I love the exact same things that you like about this car, such as the different buttons, colored lighting, etc. Good to know it's not just me.
I just purchased this car the same color as yours and I love it. I most love the look of the vehicle and the comfort of the seats but all things you mentioned are my favorites as well. The salesman at my local Honda dealership did a great job explaining all features and that made my buying decision for me. Oh and don't forget the lane keeping assist and lane departure are awesome as well.

Glad you are loving your car. These Accords are pretty amazing, especially for the money. I just picked up a brand new (6 miles on odometer) 2018 model today. They had it discounted to move and just couldn't pass up the deal. It was a Sport 2.0T model, but I'm very excited. I didn't care it wasn't a 2019 model. I saved money and same car.

Agreed. I bought the CR-V EX and am really happy with it. The only downside and not a big deal for me is that the Apple CarPlay has connectivity issues in both the '18 Accord and CR-V. discussions.apple.com/message/33469492#33469492
+MoNo K -- I don't know, but lots of '18 Accord owners on the Apple and Honda forums are complaining about CarPlay issues. I'd assume that maybe with the newer Honda head units, software/hardware conflicts are occurring and will continue until Apple/Honda find a fix. Btw, that '16 EX-L is a nice ride. When I bought my CR-V, I was also considering a used '16 Accord Touring V6 with less than 12k miles. Price was too high, so I went with the '18 CRV. Man, ONE week after I bought the CRV the same dealer lowered the price on the Touring $1500. Grrrrrr! Oh well, I have no regrets as I love my CRV with its little turbo 4-banger. lol. Again, I'm not stressing about the CarPlay....just extremely happy with Honda quality and resale value.
Great video! I just recently bought 2014 accord coupe & I love it. It's a great upgrade from my 2011 accord sedan. I might make a video on it lol. I gotta say though, that break hold feature is AMAZING. I would love to have it.
Got this 3 months back and have about 6k miles on it and gotta tell ya, absolutely in love with the car. My drive is an hour everyday and the comfortable level of this car is phenomenal.
Just FYI, around the instrument cluster, the lights that change back and forth from green to white represent how your driving is affecting your mpg. Give it a little gas and it starts to turn from green to white, let off the gas and it goes back to green. The greener it is the better your doing for mpg.
I just bought the 1.5 turbo Honda Accord 2021. The 1.5 turbo had enough power and great acceleration for me. The car is comfortable and spacious and it looks good.
BTW, you can add remote start just by purchasing the accord key fob (for EX) which has the remote starter button on it. Of course you have to have it programmed , also. Lots of videos on you tube about that. Just did that for my 2020.
Definitely a great car for the money, sedan sales are slowing due to SUV sales in the US, but Honda continues to improve the Accord. IMO, this is the best generation of Accord yet. I have the 2.0T Sport, after more than a year of ownership, I enjoy driving it just as much now as day one. Good to see people making RU-vid videos about the 10th Gen Accord, it really doesn't get enough attention.

I bought the 2L Sport 5 days ago. It pulls and is quicker than the 2017 V6. I’ve blew a few of the 2017’s out on the highway because they speed up as soon as they notice I’m in the newer model. This car has more torque. Can anybody say butt hurt? I’ve always wanted a 2L turbo. It’s quick, solid and handles nice. I’m all about forward thinking. This car has it.
Those things are very insignificant to me. I sure hope the engine and drivetrain make you happy! When you are older you will appreciate a bulky key fob! It makes you look like more than you got! Thanks for the video!
Actually you're better off holding the brake pedal down with your left foot and holding the accelerator down with your right foot when drag racing. This won't work with the brake hold engaged.
I recently bought an Accord Sport 1.5t CVT and you need to know that the seats are "vinyl" and cloth. No biggie (leather) to me, the vinyl is nice, looks like leather, and actually should hold up very well. BTW: if you don't believe me.... stop by any car interior shop and they'll set you straight. Hey Paul, have you had any issues with your hood rattling when in drive, at an idle? I’ve heard complains regarding the 2018 Accord Sport doing so, and not sure if it’s common or if they’re lemons..
The key/remote is same as the 2013 model, and yes, it is pocket-friendly. However, just came across a recent video where the guy programmed another oem key with remote-start button on it and yep, that actually worked without even opting for the same from the dealer.
Five things I love about my 2018 Accord Touring 2.0T - 1) Automatic wipers, 2) brake hold assist, 3) Head up display, 4), full LED headlights, 5) remote start via my iPhone HondaLink app. More to love. Don't care much for the cooled seats, they really don't blow much cool air, automatic navigation directions, no way to permanently turn off.

What I’d like to see if you decide to make another video is a demonstration on how Honda sensing works. Since you’re in your car most of the time there’s a few personal things I would like to know: 1. (Honda sensing)I know how it works but could you give a demonstration? 2. (Audio system) How does the system sound I know it’s 180 watts 8 speaker sound system. 3. (Automatic high beams) how do you turn the feature on? Or does the feature come automatically set? 4. Have you had any problems with your rims, and tires on the Sport? This is my first time watching your videos I enjoyed it, and I felt like you were very passionate about your likes and what meant the most to you.
How did you get the tachometer and fuel range on display at the same time? I have an EX-L and I either get one or the other but can't have both at the same time.
I look for small little things when I buy a car, the wiper delay feature has to have a nice long delay 30-45 second sweeps? My toyota doesn't delay long enough..also sun visor extensions, backseat dome lights, sliding adjustable center armrest. 1 feature I don't find on cars is being able to leave the car running in Park,,and I can get out of the car and lock the door with the remote. Some cars for example Mercedes Benz and the Camry, you can't leave the car run and lock the doors with the remote. You must use a key blade to lock the door, pain in the ass. For instance if you want to run into the store briefly and you want to leave the car run ...How does this work with this Honda?. 1 other thing... when you're driving with the car in manual shifting mode and you're approaching Redline will the car upshift or will it stay in the gear you have selected? Miko I’m getting close to 24 mostly 50/50 highway and side streets if you drive it in sport your getting less. It thirsty man. But it cost less to fill up than my wife’s 2.4 liter Camry. I only drive sport mode to take off out of junctions and for passing sometimes.
Tyrone Power you can pass ppl on normal mode ? For having so much torque ?? 24 half and half seems about right I guess , ppl get barely like 22 or less
It looks great with tinted windows, I still do not know if I want this in your silver color or in blue. I feel like the silver shows the detail of the body more.

got the same care seen another post that if u get the oem key for the 2018 ex model with auto start if u get it programmed your car will automatically have auto start apparently its built in but the dealership wont let u know they will try to get over on you to get u to pay for that i just ordered the oem remote with auto start going to get it programmed this week n have auto start for a fraction of the cost.

Love Hondas!! All I have ever owned beside a volkswagen Passat and CC. Had a 2018 black beauty then traded her for the gray ghost modern steele. Just gotta get the windows done. Very nice what % is your tint?
10/10 car to be honest, one thing honda’s innovation could have done with the break hold is press the brake all the way down and break hold will activate where are pressing the button just for easier access
No doubt that this car won many awards because of its style, features, cost, engine, fuel efficiency, space and room, etc. I read several blogs and articles where the comparison was made between new 2018 Accord VS Camry, VS Passat, VS Altima, VS Mazda 6 and even VS Audi A4, Accord beats all of these in so many different ways. You can easily find these articles online with simple google search. Some really exceptional features I like in my new 2018 Accord EX is the large LED 8" screen where you can connect (1) Android or apple car play. This feature is still lagged in camry. I use samsung and my wife uses iphone, it works perfectly for us. You can connect both phones at USB and can toggle between them. The best part i have noticed with android auto while using directions that the directions come on your left side Tachometer for the next turn with name of the street, or how many feets away, which is just perfect, you do not have to even look at the large screen displaying your google maps. With the use of android auto or apple car play there is no need to pay $1K or more for the navigation, use Google maps, Waze or Apple maps. 2) I noticed in your 2018 sport model that in your keyfob there is no auto start button, which we have in our EX, where you can remotely start the car from away to either make it cold in summer or warmer in winters. 3) I love all the features of honda sensing which are standard across all models. One of the best safety features in its class. 4) I love the 3 modes of camera view available while reversing, the best is the wide view to give the best or maximum visibility. And with the feature of anything moving or coming towards the car from rear, even if a person is walking it beeps and shows visible sign. 5) I really like the feature for having able to lock your glovebox where you can keep all your valuables and just remove the key from the fob if parking valet or any other place. 6) Fuel efficiency, I drove on expressway in the speed range of 67-73 constantly while going towards tampa from miami, i got up to 46 mpg (not kidding), that was amazing. I commonly see 40 to 41 mpg when I drive from miami to ft lauderdale. Thats a big jump in fuel efficiency in accords from previous models. 7) The left side tachometer can be fully customized, you can make it fully digital, it even displays the next track which is now on, radio channel, etc. I also like the digital speed which comes up when you set cruise control, which many cars still do not show. The features I really miss or I wish were there on this car, which are pretty much standard on some other cars and models : 1) The bird view camera, it's so common that almost every other car now has it. This could have been just the part of standard in accord along with all the other features. 2) Turn signals on side view mirrors, it just adds an extra plus to have them, which is also standard among other cars. 3) Although all the accord models have dual exhausts but only sport and touring get the exhaust chrome tip right embedded below in the rear bumper, it would have been really nice to make this feature standard or on EX as well. 4) The push start/ stop button has a very odd position, it comes more below and sometimes your right knee rubs against it, which is sometimes annoying. 5) It would be nicer to have puddle lights or door lights when the doors are opened. 6) auto rearview mirror with compass. 7) The speakers appear to be below par, I mean they do not have a good sound quality, forget any bass at all in speakers. Really disappointed with speakers. Please share comments on any other nice and new features that you may have noticed or found out in these new models or a bad feature or something you really wish that these cars should have had.
Ok so I have the same car and I can’t manage for the gauge to show me RPMs and MPG at the same time. Is this something I need to set in my car settings? Hope you can help.
