From a bride to be, this took too long so I had to skim... 1. Don’t change your skincare before the Wedding 2. Don’t lost your hair extensions 3. Have live music during ceremony 4. Allow more time to greet guests during dinner 5. Eat your late night snacks if you’re providing
Wow what took you two so long? That's great that you married your high school sweetheart. I just recently found and met again my HS sweetheart after 40 some years. He was so surprised to hear from me. We are friends for now and keep in touch. We never forgot about each other.
I’m married! As of last month 🎉🎉🎉we planned our wedding to have as much time to say hello to each guest and I’m so glad we did! People really appreciated it and it was special to us. I do have to completely disagree about the live band. Our DJ was amazing at reading the crowd and everyone loved hearing various genres. It ended up being like a club rather than a wedding and it was the most fun part of the night.
Infinitely ASMR i feel the same way about a DJ! live bands are cool but I personally would rather hear my favorite songs rather than covers of them and people have a unique reaction when they hear a song they love come on! it’s not the same when it’s a cover
Hello Sharrah! You were an absolutely stunning bride 👰🏼. My son is getting married next month 😊. It’s a destination wedding in Key Largo, so exciting! Excellent tips!! Have a wonderful day!! 😉
Hey Sharrah! It’s been forever since I’ve seen you. I’m engaged and I have loved watching your wedding series. It’s helped me a lot with my wedding planning with my mom!
Not married or engaged, but my boyfriend of 3 years and I have been talking for quite some time about tying the knot in the coming years. I’ve been binging wedding videos recently and yours is so helpful!
The like doesn't even describe this video! I love it!!! I started watching it this morning (but with kiddos and all wasn't able to finish it until later). And in the mean time, found out that my best friend is engaged!! I'm passing this video along to her!!
HI Sharrah, I'm married (it will be 20 years on Aug 8th. We had chosen amazing hors d'oeurves during the cocktail hour and I asked the banquet manager to make sure that there were some set aside for us. The manager actually assigned a waiter just for us and to insure that we enjoyed all the food we had chosen for the wedding. They brought out drinks and hors d'oeurves for our wedding party while we were taking the photo's on the Golf Course. It was a beautiful summer day. I really loved watching all of your wedding planning and the actual wedding vid. TFS.
Just had my 6 year wedding anniversary 💕 I agree, live music definitely makes it much more fun! I also missed out on the late night snacks, the table was completely empty. Which was a bummer for me, but at least I knew ppl had enjoyed it! If I had one tip to add, would be try not to compare your wedding to others. Live in the moment and know that you gave the best wedding within your means and just enjoy it!! Dance and drink the night away, the rest is just details.
My husband and I just did the same thing:) we got married in our living room on Mother’s Day. The best part is that none of our family knew it was happening that day until the officiant got there. It was perfect. Plus the bonus part is we saved so much money and we were able to go on an amazing honeymoon and but all new furniture for our entire house! Yay!
My husband and I did something similar too!! We got married at a bed and breakfast with just us two there. The next day we met up with some family and friends and went wine tasting. My gf who had done a large traditional wedding kept whispering to me, "you did this the right way." I dont regret a single thing!
NurseMegz our parents helped us buy a house since they didn't have to pay for a wedding. My brother had a huge expensive wedding and now he wishes they would have usednthat money to buy a house.
I had a groomsmen travel 8 hrs for the wedding and brought the wrong suit to an out of town country wedding. He brought a black pin stripe suit when everyone was wearing navy blue. Luckily his brother brought an extra suit for the weekend that happened to be navy blue.
Engaged! I watched all of your Wedding Wednesday videos before I got engaged and watched them all over again after getting engaged. Your wedding was so beautiful!
We will be celebrating six years this coming Saturday! Our wedding was very low-key, completely DIY - my family and I did all the cooking, decorating, etc. I designed the cake (I am a cake decorator) ut my sister actually decorated it for me. I did every bit of the planning, made most of the decorations, and it was perfect! Would not change even one single thing! I always have been, and still am, obsessed with weddings, so I loved this video!
I got in engaged this passed December and we have set the date for July of 2020 to give us time to save money and look for venues because they book so quickly in New York. I'm so excited to start planning! I've chose a rustic theme and we found such an amazing venue that will fit perfectly. 2020 seems so far but I know it will be here in the blind of an eye. ❤
My thoughts exactly. I’m recently engaged 😍🥰 and as I peruse the wedding websites “the knot, WeddingWire” the numbers are astonishing! We have also began house hunting so number crunching for each has been cringing.
I'm married!but my daughter just got engaged so,will definitely share this as I do all your videos!!having been a day1 watcher I love your wedding series and your are a forever beyond gorgeous Bride and your Groom is one lucky guy, sure he knows that....thank you for sharing
Great advice on the music ! Having had live music at our ceremony and recorded music at our reception -both worked out fine but definitely gets crazy if you are trying to mix live amd recorded at same time ! I have sung with both as well and can't stress enough how much timing is taken for granted with recorded tracks. Also dont rule out someone singing A capella - it will be a very special piece and the soloist / duet will have the freedom to focus on the song rather then worry about the accompaniment.
Yay! I've been waiting for a new video! Great to see you! Also I loved this video, it made me reflect on my own wedding which was in April this year. :) I've been doing up our apartment and been using your video's religiously 😂 I even got a dyson and my husband says I was more excited for the Dyson than when he asked me to marry him 😇
I've been married for many decades now and I would have taken that money, 5K or so, and used it to buy a house or condo back then. A wedding is just a very small part of a day. A marriage is a lifetime and I'd have rather spent our money on a home.
I just found your channel and love it! I'm getting married in two weeks! It's small (30 guests), and am so happy that we decided to go small and to have just our closest friends and immediate family members there.
I’m getting married in 2 months- and this video is soooo helpful! Plus I live in San Diego too, so you gave some great options! Just earned yourself a new subscriber ❤️
My husband and I got married a couple months after you. I loved watching your wedding videos and related to the process as I was living it at that time!
Robeson fan for years and a Sharrah fan for the past 2 years. Reminding people to remember to breathe and take it all in is such good advice. The wedding locale was visually stunning. Did I miss which golf course it was?? Thanks for sharing.
Loved this! "My thing" was that my stretch hummer limo broke down 3 times on the way to the ceremony. I had to get out (leave my bridal party behind) and ride in my mom's friend's car to be sure I made it on time to the venue. Luckily my bridal party made it to the ceremony with plenty of time to spare! And apparently we forgot the ring bearer pillows, and my parents had to call a neighbor to use our spare key to get in and bring them to us, but I didn't know about this until after my honeymoon! I'm glad they decided to just not tell me. ;) Looking back, these are things we can just laugh about now and I remember and appreciate all of the things that went perfectly! I have to also agree that a band is SO incredibly worth it. The whole experience of a band is top notch! All of the instruments and interactive entertainment is our favorite memory and what people still tell us they loved about our reception! And the food. :)
I'm married for almost a year! Our wedding day was BY FAR our favorite "special" day of our lives! My mom is German, so we had German style "entertainment" where your guests prepared songs, games, activities to perform/do for you and the other guests. It.was.amazing. We had fire juggling, Polish wedding games that had guests up on their feet, screaming and cheering on other guests who were competing, poems, duets, and more. Then we danced until midnight, had cereal as our late night snack, and sat by the fire until 1 in the morning. So.good. We were able to hire a videographer through a generous gift from a relative, and I could not be more thankful that we have that.
We just celebrated our 30th anniversary. We were married on a Friday 13th! (It's been GOOD LUCK for us and we celebrate each Friday 13th just for fun!) I wish that I had been reminded to pause and look around on our wedding day. It was such a blur! If it weren't for photos, there were so many moments I would have forgotten! Thanks for your great advice/suggestions Sharrah! Your wedding photos from this video are amazing - now I need to watch your video!
Married last spring! Did a more affordable wedding but still real nice! Had 150 people, buffet style bbq food, real flowers but I made my own burlap runners, did my own makeup, and best of all found a beautiful dress for only $200! 👌🏻👌🏻
We got married in September of 2016 and we always say we want to do it again. It was a wonderfu day but we would do it totally different. We wanted an outdoor wedding and not the traditional wedding traditions, posed photos, etc but we totally had the golf club with the cake cutting, etc. We wanted more relaxed and somehow the day got turned around on us. Totally thinking about renewing our views in a few years and doing it our way.
I’ve been Married for 39 yrs!! And getting stronger and stronger every day! ☺️ 🙏Amen, Thank You Jesus!! 👍😍😌 You and your Mom Rebecca are so Awesome! ❤️ Love the Interior Designs and your moms backyard makeover design! Gorgeous!👍😊
great tips! relationship status- dating seriously for two years and we are hoping to get engaged by the end of this year! obsessed with event planning and particularly wedding planning because of the style of decor that it involves. I can’t wait to start designing my own wedding!
I'm coming up to my 25th wedding Anniversary...Sept 2018. Can't wait. I had an amazing wedding at Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbrige MASS. LOVED IT. The reception room looked like a garden.
this was a really helpful video! 😁 I'm engaged and getting married in exactly 2 months today 🥰 and I definitely need all the helpful tips I can get so that this last bit goes as smoothly as possible! 🥳 thanks again!
I’m engaged getting married in July (in 22 days)! So excited and nervous! Paying for everything in cash and getting help from loved ones! Please leave advice for me 😅
Your wedding was beautiful, love that second dress! OMG is your mom Rebecca Robeson? She’s my favorite - you are lucky to have her as a mom 🙂💛 I’ve been married for 20 years but I’m obsessed with weddings 😜😂 I wish I would’ve worn a different dress and hired a hair and makeup team! I also wish I had included my doggie!
I’m getting married next year and am in the process of planning my wedding. It would be a huge help if you could add the agenda you used for your wedding. For example what time was the ceremony and reception, when did you have the first dance, when did you do the wedding send off (with the sparklers), etc.
Hello! I love your videos! I am married to an amazing man. I am a cancer patient of 18 years (I was a 23 year old college student, 1st year law student, and was told I had 30 days to live and that I should go home and get my affairs in order, which I refused to give up. So for 18 years I've been fighting the fight. I also have Lupus, shingles and migraines. I wish Tyler and you nothing, nothing the best!!! 💗🌺
I’m dating a great guy😊💛 and great tips!! I love your videos. I’ve been a loyal follower and I always look forward to your new videos😆😆😆btw I think your gorgeous
Married 29 years! I loved my wedding day, even though we spent less than 2k for everything including my dress. We had over 100 guests, beautiful flowers, photographer, nothing was missing but we did not start our married life in debt (we paid for it ourselves) and have continued to not take on unnecessary debt our whole marriage. The stress that not having debt can relieve is incredible and has always kept us in good financial status.
Single!! But... lots of weddings coming up in my life and I was wondering if you'd do a couple style videos on what to wear as a wedding guest in all sorts of venues and themes! Xoxo
I had a live band too...my parents insisted on that. I had a second veil that was cathederal length. My veil extension got caught on the bottom corner of one the the double doors that opened at my entrance down the church isle. I felt my head pull back and something rip (it was on a velcro strip). But everyone was in the process of standing up and turning around to look at me so I could not stop and fix it. I had to deal with that thing half hanging off the back of my head for all to see. Fortunately, It was under my shorter tier veil, so it wasn't super noticeable. But I was worried it would fall off walking and moving around. So yes, things can go wrong even if planned to perfection.
Watching this before getting married this fall. I worked at a venue for a few years, and usually as servers we try and prioritize feeding bride and groom. I would go to the bridal suite and leave a plate and tell people it'd be for the bride because it's crazy how many brides don't get to eat anything.
