Not only teaching dharma but teaching true history is also important. Many hindu kids don't even have an idea how glorious their past was and who destroyed all those things. Leave USA even in India Mughals and Britishers are taught as secular and progressive and many boards don't teach about chatrapati shivaji maharaj, veer savarkar, prithviraj chauhan, Maharana Pratap, Ahom, mahraj Krishna dev Rai, chola, chera, pandya etcs etc.
Hindus in India don't trust those in America or Europe... You people call sell relegion just for money. You people behave like whites and do racism with Indians
You are doing great work, my friend. Recently Kushal Mehra talked about you on Sham Sharma Podcast. I checked out your channel after his recommendation. Keep doing the good work, bhai.
As a person from the USA, please share your culture. I’ve often asked Hindus about their beliefs and was told I wouldn’t understand 😢 I finally found ISHA and that has been my introduction. Much respect and love to Bharat and Hinduism.
Yes 😢this is reality.. Most of festivals today are celebrated due to their link with materialistic attraction like reels, social media, dresses , enjoyment etc more than the focus on the faith and spiritual background.. Dandia especially is highly sexualised and materialised.. eventually the real practice will be replaced with a more of marketed scenario of our festivals
A good place to start is when they're young, read to them the Ramayan, Mahabharat, narrate the facts about Mahadev, Ma Durga. As their curiousity grows, diversify into other things - like the stories of Vishnu's 10 avatars, Ganesh & Kartikeya, the Devas & Asuras & so on. As they grow up, let them read original texts for themselves & come to their own conclusions
One thing which should be done by every hindu family is to learn n speak one South Asian language... If u consider english French Portuguese German or any other west language as ur mother tounge.... Then I m sorry to say.... U r far far away from ur own roots... Still it's not late try from now n the easiest way is to watch Indians songs, cartoons, movies ramayan n mahabharat shows... N if u become pro then start learning books...
first of all stop calling indians, south asians. i hate this term. this term is invented to destroy hindu india's civilizational identity and clubbing us together with muslims frompak and bangldesh. we are not the same ppl anymore in ideology. we hv drifted apart. teach yr kids indian language
@@AA13494There are Nepali, Burmese and Sri Lankan Hindus too. Not to forget Balinese, java and Champa (vietnam ) hindus . Not all of us from Bharat, even if Dharma originated in Bharat
@@vinayjoshi5788 we dnt need Sanskrit, all we need to do is learn how to debate and read quran/bible. Stop making everything about sanskirt. Alot of muslims can’t read arabic but they still defend their cult. Its about knowledge, debating skills and attacking islam
Great video, much needed! Really appreciate you expressing yourself and presenting the challenges of our community. What you are doing today will have a great impact in future in shaping our narrative and our journey through last few hundred years.
You are doing great job. Every word you said was true. That’s my big concern as Hindu living in west. Most Hindu 2nd generation are eating beef. They devalue Hindu thought process calling our history as myth.
If there’s a Sathya Sai Baba Center, send your children there. I sent my two girls when they were 4. Today they r grown , working & married & they are practising Sanatanis , thanks to Bal Vikas teachings which taught them Sanatan dharma so beautifully!
Sai baba and the cult surrounding him is a fraud. he is a muslim theif by the name of chand miyan. and she wasnt as great as hez been made out to be by ignorant hindus. plz stop this sai baba nonsense. Even my parents are indoctrinated into this cult.
Excellent video! Good work as it is much needed, especially today. Every Hindu should read the books - Why The Shiva Linga is NOT a Phallus and Caste is NOT Hindu. Very informative for Hindus. 🙏 🙏 🙏
Caste has no meaning in any indian context, but in Hinduism we have jaati and varnam or kula. Jati is simply by birth gunas, there 3 gunas Satva, rajas, tamas. Every person has 3 gunas but in different proportions each. Kula is simply your type of work like sonar, lohar, kumar. Varnam is type of people clubbed together in one group, brahmins who are smart and intelligent, kshatriya who are brave and courageous, vaishya who are highly money minded and entrepreneurs, sudra are employees or workers. Do you know word coolie is for people who are not into kula or family work, who are out of it are called kulis mean open to work anywhere. Don't use caste any more use above words as needed.
@@dgurunathreddy You have just uttered N0nsnese. Who told you Brahmins are Smart & intelligent ?? If "Brahmin" word is Psychological marker, it can be accepted. But, if its clubbed with "Kula" etc etc, its just total N0nsese which brought our country's downfall. A Coolie , without Kula is also Equally Smart and intelligent as any so called " Brahmin Kula".
Claiming our history is no problem .. we need to feel proud about our selves.. so I can not agree with the first point. Yes temple visiting and being in touch with classical arts is one of the best ways .. Next time atlest once play some barathanatyam in your tv and watch it. Normalize enjoying classical arts .. they are still true to their roots
Namaste Shawn🙏 Thank you for this wonderful and thought provoking video. Our ancestors found solace in this story and considered that they were brought to this foreign land by the will of Ram. The indentured immigrants lived challenging lives under English rule. Toiling all day in sugarcane fields, at night they took shelter in Ram’s name and chanted the Ramayana’s verses in groups, forgetting their pains of the day and the problems of tomorrow. That’s how Hinduism survived those arduous old days in Mauritius. While the elder generation largely thought of themselves as Indian Hindus, this generation identifies themselves as Mauritian Hindus. This fifth generation has accepted that, being born here, they are not Indian but Mauritian and that their way of practicing their religious tradition is distinct from Indian Hindus. Due to an early lack of means and facilities, the practices and traditions evolved in a unique way through those five generations, and today’s youth consider the Mauritian practices as their heritage. Our Hindu Mauritian ancestors did what they thought was right while so far from their cultural origins. They all knew they were a part of the larger Hindu community, and that they prayed to the same Gods. But to preserve their culture and religion, each group cocooned itself, and each generation instilled in the next the need to protect our traditions and beliefs in this new land, and transfer our religion to the next generation. The newer generations have found themselves in a larger and more connected world. A young Hindu will be asked by their mother to light a lamp at their Hanuman shrine while dinner is being prepared at sunset. Some youth say they don’t like to do it, but sure enough even when mom is not home, the lamp is still lit on time without anyone asking. Our youth uphold the chanting of the Ramayana near the deceased until the body is cremated, but many dislike other practices, like covering all glass windows of the house with a bedsheet or other available cloth until the body is taken for cremation. They also condemn the treatment of widows, who are no longer allowed in many auspicious rituals. Today is a tough time for youth due to pressures from a continuously changing society, so one cannot predict the future; but the present Mauritian youth are a matter of pride for Hinduism. So these are the young Hindus of Mauritius-enjoying, exploring, critiquing and transforming Hinduism all at once on this little piece of paradise called Mauritius.🙏🕉
I respect your thought changes always been part of Hinduism the main is to focus on scripture there can be varies in tradition according to place but not scripture you said your ancestors chant ram Nam that's your ancestors may be from awadh region of India 😂 and I request you pleaseif you have time please visit ram Mandir which is built after 500 years of sacrifice One vesrse from ramayan brother jakibrahi bhawna jaisi Prabhu Murat Delhi tibh taisi Jai siyaram
Thank you so much brother for your eye-opening video 🙏. This video must be shared by all Hindus widely to all their contacts and in all their groups .👍
please please. you must collab with some other popular Hindu youtubers. you're very underrated. more and more people need to see your videos. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 also do talk about the crashing hindu demographic globally due to low birth rates. Hindus need to understand that kids are blessings not burden, they carry our legacy forward
Talk about Premarital sex and wokeism Whether some dieties are myths or not, focusing on Dharma is important Because the world today is becoming morally ambiguous.
Pythagoras theorem was found in 2 hindu scriptures wayyy before pythagoras existed, those are Baudhayana Shrauta Sutra and Shathpath brahmana. Kids these days think there is no application for pythagoras theorem and complain about learning it in math class, but our ancestors applied it to construct havans. I completely agree on the dinner table talks, there should be more discussion on deep hindu philosophy.
Bhai, something Ive seen a lot when interacting with born hindus is that parents dont explain to them the reason behind why we perform our rituals or fully arent aware of many parts of our scriptures.
प्रणाम, What an insightful video. It's worth watching u every time. The intricacies, small details are all so meaningfully addressed. Just take an example, lighting diyas. It is exciting and interactive. धन्यवाद
I started shlokhas with my 2 year old twins every evening They know the words and which gods they belong to. I always involve them in Diwali preparations dress them up tell stories and take them mandir. They will be raised as Hindus! I am British born, there is no excuse!!
My parents never told me anything about other religion,, ... I suppose they feared this would cause hatred... . I use to think all religion say same thing... But now i know better.. So may be comparitive religion even i didn't know triple, talak, many wives like basic lol
All.hindus from all countries shld have one single platform an app that we call can register and every hindu must be a member of this irrespective of the countries n places they live in
I dont this hindu parents fail but they may not be able to completely give their children the trye essence of hinduism....its important to make the next n next hindu generations survive in pride
Bro U are a proud Sanatani...!! I respect and love u for this...many of us in India should learn from u. ❤ Subscribed ur channel. May Lord Mahadev bless u abundantly🙏🕉️
Hindu parents must read Ramayana and Mahabharata and treatises by shankaracharya and Ramanuja teach their Children about Hinduism .?In temples also priests should spend atleast about. 30 minutes in the morning and 30 Mrs in the evening to explain about our religion and give short lectures about our epics and the moral it teaches us w
Very nice video but I beg to differ on 2 elements. I was an atheist for years. After reading the bible and the quran, it's the scientific relevance of Sanatani practices that made me embrace Sanatan dharm. Hence, I somehow disagree with your argument how that we shouldn't focus much on associating science with Hinduism. Of course, we should! Someday, ask your pandit to translate the sankalp that he reads before each pooja and utters the position of the different planets at the time and in regards to the place where the pooja is being performed. then just imagine how our ancestors knew the position of the different planets that we read through our panchang only! Moreover, if our kids ask us if Krishna is real. The answer is yes! You can even make them visit the kurukshetra in India some day, the place where the Bhagwad-Gita was read to Arjun. You can also show them other proofs including the city of dwarka, the kingdom of Krishna which has been discovered by archaelogists underwater along with some artefacts. The rest of the video is just amazing as usual.
McDonald's golden rule - catch them young!!! McDonald's has done thorough research, hired psychologists and various other experts, spent good amount of money and figured this out. That's how they came up with happy meals, kiddie meals and play areas at McDonald's! BTW, the most Sanatanis had been doing this!!!😂😊😂 I was exposed to Dharmik practices at a very young age the way elders knew it. Because of that I became interested and started doing my own research to find out why we do the way we do? But in a race to be a modern one they forgot this. Good that McDonald's financed this research. So-called Sanatani modern parents would now can be convinced by presenting them McDonald's case study to train someone ever since they are very young!!!
First hindus should understand that we came to foreign country to earn money due to suitation in my own country, but not to give up our hindu identification.if parents .practice..our.culture at .home is .only..solution ..to.this .problem.
MOSTLY THE GRANDPARENTS OF HINDUS FAMILES HAS NO KNOWLEDGE AT ALL ! TALKING AND TELLING DOESN'T HELP MUCH WITHOUT BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE OF VEDIC KNOWLEDGE
HINDUS SHOULD BE UNITED AS A COMMUNITY . PRAY TOGETHER EVERYDAY WITH YOUR FAMILY IN HOME AND ORGAINZED COMMUNITY PUJA IN NEARBY HINDU TEMPLE . THATS HOW WE CAN BUILD OUR STRONG COMMUNITY. ALSO AS HINDUS YOU SHOULD REMEMBER OUR BROTHERS DO NOT HAVE ANY COUNTRY AROUND THE WORLD . MUSLIMS HAV 60 COUNTRIES AND SIMILARLY CHISTIANS HAVE 80 COUNTRIES DO NOT FORGOT HOW HINDU GENOICDE WAS DONE
Also learn about predatory monopolistic cults like islam and christianity. their kids grow up learning about the differences betn their faith and others. hindus also need to do the same. only teaching about hinduism is not enough. teach about the differences/negatives of other cults as well- Ami ganatra
@@dtrix248553 thats not going to happen bcz the caste system has been constitutionalized. therefore the groups that get benefit would never give it up. its will never happen.
1:58 finally someone said it. Kudos to you. 🫡. The fact that Hindus “have to prove how scientifically correct “ something is to be respected. Have you ever seen other religions do it. Haters going to hate and self loather going to loathe. As Mark Twain, once said no amount of proof can convince a stupid. Let’s focus on us and our children. Forget the haters
