I’m entering my first year of teaching grade 5. This type of video typically leaves me feeling overwhelmed, but your take on summer is a breath of fresh air!! I can relate to feeling behind as our American teacher friends are already setting up their rooms, too! 😜
Hi Kaitlyn! 👋🏼 What a sweet comment! I completely understand where you are coming from. While I think it can be helpful to accomplish a lot over the summer, I just don’t think it’s worth it mentally. I personally try to take it all in stride. I know how much more excited I will be for the year after I have had a restful (and fun) summer break. Plus I always take the time I give myself, so I try to condense my classroom setup to about 4-5 days. Otherwise it takes over my life 😜 Thank you for being here!
