I know this is a short video but DON'T WORRY! This isn't replacing my "usual" content! I have another exciting video in the works but I wanted to make sure I could get something out before the end of the month. Hope everyone is just as excited for Animal Crossing 2019 as I am! Let me know what you think of this video format!
I love educational videos like this so, at least from my corner, I love this video. If you ever have to fill time like this again in the future, videos like this are more than welcome!
10 seconds in and you blew my mind... I had absolutely NO idea Animal Crossing was on the N64. Great video! Short, sweet, and to the point! Looking forward to Animal Crossing 2019!!
Hey Kelsey, I just wanted to say thank you so much for getting me interested in Animal Crossing, as I am now waist deep in this amazing world and I couldn’t be happier☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
I love the Animal Crossing series! This was quite informative to me. They always say you learn something new every day and I certainly did! Thanks for the enjoyable video, Kelsey!
You should really upload more! 84K subscribers with only 14 videos. PS: Was awesome seeing you at PRGE this year. You sure cleaned out that lady on Sunday last minute.
Great job! It's hard to find information about the development of Animal Crossing games, especially the original, so thanks for finding these facts about it!
You rock Kelsey! I have learned many things from watching your videos. I'm a huge fan of you and Metal Jesus. I'm hoping to visit your gaming store in the future.
Glad to finally know the reason why the male character has horns in the first game I've been wondering for years, thanks for the awesome video Kelsey. Can't wait to see game play and to have the new Animal Crossing for switch in my hands!
Yo kelsey, you should make a beginners guide to animal crossing video. I have been out of the game for a while but recently got a switch and want to know what Im in for
yay another kelsey video its been to long that was some pretty cool stuff about animal crossing game cant wait to see the next video hope your doing well cheers
The N64 animal crossing game is fascinating, it's a little lesser known than the game cube version but it's still pretty impressive for us N64. Great video as always.
I actually really like videos like these - short, informative and fun! Not every video needs to be an epic tale - although those are great too of course
Great video Kelsey, would love to see more on Animal Crossing from you. Your passion for the series is similar to mine and I love hearing fellow fans talk about their experiences with the series. It would be super interesting if you did a video detailing your first experience with each of the main 4 games, but specifically the original game. Keep up the great work!
Never heard any of these, so very interesting. Surprised that you didnt include the tidbit of animal forest was actually a Legend of Zelda game but was quickly scraped in favor of the 3D version: OOT.
Great stuff... and for once on an internet video I actually didn't know all this stuff. Anyway, to add two other things people might not know 1. Animal Forest was a common cart in Japan, which makes it cheap and easy to pick up for a US buyer. About $15 shipped off ebay, less if you are willing to go directly to a Japanese seller. 2. Although the N64 is physically region locked, it's easy enough to modify the cart or the N64 to play on an American N64. Well, easy to get the game to run. Near impossibly to play very far if you don't know Japanese.
Great video! Maybe it was just me, but it sounded like I could hear a heartbeat in the mix with the audio. I had to stop the video a few times to check if it was me or an outside source.
A short one this time, but as always a good one. Your production quality keeps improving too. Keep up the good work. BTW, how'd you like the Q-bert hack Riggs made?
Because the game was originally an N64 game, the game cube versions’s files are so small that the disc can be removed from the system while playing and still run with no problems.
There's a really interesting Blog-Post about the NES-emulator by a guy called James Chambers. If you search for "Finding and exploiting hidden features of Animal Crossing's NES emulator" on your favorite Search-engine you'll find it. He also made a post called "Reverse engineering Animal Crossing's developer mode" which gives a lot of interesting insight about the inner workings of the game. Both of those Posts are very technical.
I read those, great stuff! He also did a really interesting write up on how the game determines the kind of response you receive to letters you’ve written.
