Let it be known to all: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit! I tell ye, truly, Jesus of Nazareth is the propitiation for the whole world's sins. He is the anointed one, for he is, Jesus Christ. God the Father has raised him from the dead; who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God! Angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by him. They who believe and are baptized with the Holy Spirit shall be saved; but they who believe not shall be damned. For they who believe not on him, shall die in their sins! I tell ye now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father! There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you! They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God... Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask: "Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen." 1 John 2:2 KJV 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Acts 13:26-33 KJV 26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, *and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.* 27 *For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.* 28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. 29 *And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.* 30 *But God raised him from the dead:* 31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people. 32 *And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,* 33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 1 Peter 3:22 KJV 22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. John 14:6 KJV 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Mark 16:16 KJV 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. John 8:24 KJV 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. Acts 2:38 KJV 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 11:13 KJV 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 14:21-24 KJV 21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.* 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.* 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*

The greatest misconception that I had about Israelis is that most of them are religious! Percentage wise Israel is a very secular society! They party like Americans do!
@moisuomi
@moisuomi Год назад
And that is exactly what is going to lead to a split. Israel still very much has a religious population (in particular Orthodox and Haredim) who differ ideological and by lifestyle/culture so much from their secular counterparts that they have begun to despise one another immensely. I would honestly propose 3 countries in that land. The three countries will be Israel, Palestine, and Judea. Israel will be the Israel most of us know as being pro western and full of secular non religious Jews. Palestine will maybe begin to have full autonomy and may remain peaceful (except Gaza). And for the interesting one, Judea. Judea will be primarily controlled by the Rabbis. It will be a Halachic state that forms it’s ideas around Torah and Talmud. Datum and Haredim will make up the wide majority with around 80-90% of the population. To ensure the threat of Iran is contained, Israel and Judea would sign a military pact to ensure that they would have their militaries work together to fight any threat.

Rude? American politeness doesn't mean much. We know "let's do lunch" just means "see ya whenever". But when an Israeli invites you for Shabbat, it means you can ask to come for the whole 25 hours, with meals and a bed. Watch a woman with a baby in a stroller getting on the bus--some stranger will jump in to help. Rather have rude!

I have been wondering how this evolved ever since I can remember. I love it here so much but I am a very sensitive person and the culture from that perspective can be triggering. I have been working on not taking it personally because I don't want to be one to contribute to a lack of loving kindness toward my people. Wonderful! 🌟 Human beings always have their own perceptions - which are rarely accurate. And they want to feel right - while the reality is not. And people sometimes believe what they are told (just like this video tell us), but never doubt what they conclude - the conclusion that could be from the truth. We just need to have an open minded without judging whenever seeing things that we don't really know about. Again, this video is awesome! ✨

1:58 What?! What a delusional idea about Hebrew! A comparison of dictionary vocabulary counts between different languages is a somehow a method to compare linguistic *richness*?! The official number of words that exists in either language is related to the length of the sentences?! who wrote this script!? This beyond-superficial explanation is so frustrating to hear not only because it's monumentally wrong in every aspect! but because it actually teaches that Hebrew is some kind of a 'shorter' language than English because it is poorer in vocabulary... unbelievable! how outrageously ignorant! The reason that in Hebrew you ***CAN*** say just ”?חשבון„ instead of ”?אפשר לקבל את החשבון בבקשה„ ("can I have the check please") is a STYLISTIC choice! a sociolect! used by certain types of people in Israel! certainly not everyone! It's not a limitation of the language nor the vocabulary!!!... Wow. This is one of dumbest pieces of misleading information to come across. A video that comes to disprove stereotypes but creates worse new ones. Maybe… maybe! It was intended to point out that in everyday speech, Hebrew may not sound as indirect and passive as is sometimes acceptable in English or other languages, because there's this nuance in style that may sometimes come across as 'rude' to a non-native speaker. for example, let's say "the window was broken by the boy" is normal sentence in English that describes an event of causing damage, but worded in English so that the responsibility or blame for the person who caused the damage is somewhat reduced; "The window *was broken* by...X". such sentence, if translated into Hebrew word for word - could be technically correct, but would sound very weird and unnatural. A typical response in the listener's mind may be: "What the hell do you mean 'broken by'?! Did the *BOY* break the window or didn't *HE*?!". When speaking Hebrew, generally, there is this 'feel' that arises, of 'impatience' for ambiguity or indirectness to soften or sugar-coat things - and even this would be a very general and stereotypical observation, just about a style of communication, not really about the language itself. of course You can be as gentle and as extremely polite in Hebrew as in any other language of the world. In this interpretation I probably give far too much credit to whoever scripted this bizarre "explanation" in the video.

The fact that Hebrew language doesn't have polite verbal structures also affects how Hebrew native speaks talk other languages (e.g English), talking in a very direct and blank way, giving the idea of rudeness 😂😂
@tomr5803
@tomr5803 Год назад
Modern Hebrew *does* actually have a formal/polite way of saying things, it's just not used as much (or at all) anymore because of cultural shifts between 1950s and today. Almost no one says I would like (הייתי רוצה), most everyone says I want or give me (אני רוצה, תן לי), with a pleasant sounding intonation and a smile or ***maybe**** a please affixed at the end of the sentence. Saying *I would like* puts too much distance between two speakers and makes the one speaker sound too full of themselves to Israelis. To most Europeans, on the other hand, "I would like" is perfectly normal and "I want" sounds somewhat rude. This is why Israelis who don't speak other languages fluently sometimes come off as rude because they translate directly from Hebrew to whatever language they're speaking and end up, unintentionally, violating non Israeli social norms.

I’ve tried to speak about the current situation, which my son is currently deployed defending Israel with long time friends and found I was unable to finish a single sentence they thought would be critical of Israel, though it wasn’t going to be. To me I didn’t find that open minded at all. Here my family was sacrificing everything and far more than their families and I couldn’t even make a comment. That’s in the US. I can’t imagine being in Israel is kinder and more accepting.

Hebrew has 85,000 terms while English has 170,000, so mathematically Hebrew has 47% less than English, while 20,000 words are used by each individual person in English, Hebrew speakers use 10,000 to 15,000. English has a lot of redundancy due to absorbing words from French (Latin) in parallel to its Germanic origins. English has quite superfluous words to insinuate instead of saying which in Hebrew would be considered not speaking straight.

Have you ever sat next to Israelis overseas when they do not realise you can understand them? Ever tried to tell someone not to queue jump? Ever been crushed by someone giving an UNASKED opinion? Ever politely asked for service on a day when the person was not in their best mood? I could go on. Not to say they are bad people, often kind and friendly, just only ever polite by accident. Also 'חשבון' and 'check' are near identical in length.

Then he told me there was a child in his class who "couldn't learn, she shouldn't be in the class, she shouldn't have be promoted, she is stupid." When he said these things, he was fired. I've been watching a few of your videos, and I believe you're trying to present a fair and nuanced view. Therefore I'd like to ask you a question. How do you address the fact that Hebrews were *not* the indigenous people of Palestine - that this land was in fact occupied by people whom we call Canaanites - and that referring to it as "The Promised Land" highlights that it was *not* the ancestral homeland of the Hebrews. There are bibilical accounts of wholesale slaughter, sanctioned by the God of Abraham, during the conquest of the Land of Canaan. Ancestral homeland given this context is an over-simplification. How far back should we roll history, in any part of the world?
@UNPACKED
@UNPACKED 7 месяцев назад
That is a good question. And thank you for the compliment A few points of response: - The fact that others lived there previously does not mean that Jews aren’t indigenous to Israel. Jews built a homeland, a culture, a religious identity, a national identity, and a language rooted in that land for thousands of years. - Who gets to live in any land? Where did the Cannanites comes from? What gave them the right to take over the land from whoever was there before them? Yes there were wars and conquest, as most lands in this world throughout history have experienced. It’s interesting that unlike other nations, Israel didn’t try to become an empire with expansive territories and colonies, but stayed within the boundaries of the land of Israel - There are no Cannanites today (or any of the other nations around at the time) so it’s sort of a moot point, if Cannanites were to show up asking for some of the land - Assuming we’re going according to the Bible, there are several stories where Jews legally and evenhandedly bought land from the Canaanites, including Hebron, Jerusalem, and Shechem - which ironically are some of the most disputed places in Israel. - Israel’s claim on the land is not simply that their ancestors lived there 2,000+ years ago, but also because they bought, settled, built, and defended the land over the last 100+ years
@jenniferdawes9975
@jenniferdawes9975 7 месяцев назад
@@UNPACKED Thanks for replying so quickly. I raise this question because of all the current discussion about colonialism, and other disputes about who has the right to claim certain lands. [Because I'm of UK origin but living in Canada, I'm cognizant of this issue from multiple points of view.] With advances in ancient DNA, it is possible to establish that some residents of te area of Palestine and the Levant (using old terminology) are descended from ancient inhabitants. True, we don't know if the Canaanites were original, but we do know they were there before the Hebrew pastoralists invaded. I want to point out that if we say the claim of the current State of Israel is legitimated by right of ancient conquest, then what other claims are legitimated? At what point in history do we draw the line for everyone?
@UNPACKED
@UNPACKED 7 месяцев назад
You’re right that we don’t base countries now solely on ancient times. Though it’s interesting that there are not really any remaining nations from the ancient near East - except for the Jewish nation. The State of Israel’s claim is not solely based on what happened 3,000 years, but also on the end of colonial Empires (including your very own UK) - the same thing that led to the creation of India and Pakistan and Jordan and Lebanon, etc - and the UN’s resolution of 1947, and having won the land in defensive wars in 1948 and 1967. That, plus the ancient continuity and indigeneity make Israel among the most well-established of any countries around today.
@jenniferdawes9975
@jenniferdawes9975 6 месяцев назад
@@UNPACKED I don't understand why you keep insisting on Hebrews being indigenous to Canaan. The accepted definition of indigenous is "original inhabitants". Regardless of who the original inhabitants were, whether Canaanites or peoples they overcame, according to the Torah, the Hebrews invaded the Land of Canaan and took the land by force. Unless you don't believe the Torah?
@UNPACKED
@UNPACKED 6 месяцев назад
Indigenous doesn’t have to mean the first people to live somewhere. Because then the Canaanites aren’t indigenous, it would be the people who before them, or the people who came before them, etc. There is no one definitive definition of indigenous but here is one, and you’ll see that it apples to the Jews and Israel: www.un.org/esa/socdev/unpfii/documents/5session_factsheet1.pdf
