My family got a pit bull a couple of months before I was born. She was a puppy. I was absolutely devastated when she died. It was like losing a sister.

My self I grew up with German shepherd's and they are so loyal. But the other breads that we had after I grew up were treated as one of our kids as they grew up with them. Show them love and they will love you back......or gob off (bark) at you when you tell them to stop what they are doing.

@@chrishansen7288 I agree. A lot of pit bull owners tend to train their dogs to be aggressive or vicious. I used to be terrified of pitbulls until I saw a pitbull mix in my driveway. I named him Precious because even though he was protective of me he'd always act like a lap dog and sit on my lap then growl if he thought he saw anybody who might hurt me.

We had a corgi named Sara and then a Shih-Tzu named Vanilla frosting, and then we had a cattle dog named Maya for at least 1 month , but had to give her away because she nearly tore my little brother's ear off. And our last dog was a Shelestie named Mason. We had him from the age of a puppy and he died because somebody poisoned him with antifreeze

Tbh pit bulls are a usually naturally aggressive breed due to humans. They have killed several people, babies, and dogs. None the less if you train the dog correctly it can become such a loving dog.

I Love Pitbulls also, but Staffs are great also.

I was not raised with dogs, the first dog that I met was a pit bull. 'Visiting a friend, I told her, I really didn't like dogs. Meanwhile her Pit bull was sitting , Meanwhile, she turned around and gave me a kiss. She proved me wrong.

@@eviemay298 I was given a cat large cat from my vet for free. Because he was very mean. When we took him home, he smelled the dogs, and was fine. They drink out of the water bowl next to each other. And when it is treat time, he sits in between the two dogs. One of the dogs even sleeps on him and he is fine with that. He rolls over like dog, to hav his tommey rubbed. He rubbed against the dogs. He acts like a dog.

But would it not be more accurate to say they're both in the bull terrier family? Staffies have been around long before pits have.
