@@maudefindlay3949 Because the bass lines are super cool, and too quiet on the album. We can hear it better now on the Apocalyptica version, but it's not the full thing unfortunately. I have played guitar for 23 years, but I don't think that's particularly relevant.

I dunno what people have against them so much. I don't think he is my favourite singer or can reach all the parts of human voice tones but I prefer him over a lot of other singers that are regarded way higher.

Yeah...nobody else has more contempt in their voice than Dave. You can just feel pure bad attitude in his voice and you can tell he has the biggest sneer on his face while he's singing...it's really very remarkable. It's a PERFECT match for Megadeth's music, nobody else would sound right. I love Dave's vocals.

No hardcore band can capture that feeling.

For me, the worst part of the remix of Rust in Peace was that many of the original tapes were destroyed during a fire, so Dave had to "recreate" them from memory, even some of Marty's parts... I'm so glad that I still have the original copy of that. I do like the remix of Killing Is My Business, even with the "corrected" lyrics in These Boots.

Thankfully you can still buy the original cds on ebay or Amazon

The new snare sound is awful! It is easy to notice the difference on "In My Darkest Hour". The old snare has some serious 80's kick and the new one pales by comparison.

I'm sure if I gave their old records a try they might be good. I've heard a few songs from the 80's. But anyway from I heard of Megadeth's music, it's just way overproduced and way too perfect.

A lot of people have no appreciation for intrinsic quality of raw music. They brother sit back in their armchair and critique a Beat. Please don't misunderstand me I think music should be technically correct but there is a point where a technicality can impede on artistic creativity. I can't stand remixes I haven't heard one that's done any song Justice yet... and I've been listening to Megadeth since they formed

It’s actually not good for your voice lol but you can imitate it just look it up on RU-vid lol

There's no healthy way of adding drive or rasp to your vocals. Do this for too long and you'll develop calluses on your vocals cords that can only be surgically removed. This is the reason Axl Rose can't sing the way he did in his prime.

Actually there is techniques to safely add rasp. There's a ton of videos on it.

@@pyre13 Nope, there aren't. No long term studies that prove it exist. The fact that some people have more vocal resilience doesn't mean their technique is safe. Take Mike Patton, for example. If I start imitating the sounds he does, I'm gonna lose my voice in no time at all, because I'm not him. He's an exception. Exceptions are not rules.

The newest Peace Sells and Killing Is My Business sound amazing (except for a new vocal recorded for Killing, it's too noticeable it's "nowadays" dave) But before that, the 2004 remasters just sound odd, back then i didn't knew abotu "remasters" so i listened to the originals on the internet, but when i got a physical copy it was the remastered ones, and man i was like "this doesn't sound like what i heard before". KISMB: The Final Kill it's amazing, you get to hear Gars drums so powerful and it's great

I wouldn't say awful. But it's kinda like a band that's a bit of a meme. You know, daves "balls in a vice" vocals, chromatic wanking, a lineup change every two albums, "I hate the government" lyrics etc.
