I agree. Young Woo is very bright...so this is not about her not knowing what to do but her anxiety in going through. I am on the spectrum and I had anxiety with revolving doors when I was younger. I still have mild anxiety with them but not nearly as bad as her. My problem is escalators. Especially going down escalators. My proprioception and vestibular system does not always give me reliable feedback and this is common for people on the spectrum so the anxiety is often very understandable. One reason proposed for hand flapping...especially hand flapping within eye view or peripheral view is to help orient the body in space because we often have poor proprioception. I suspect that her counting before going into the room at Hanbada could be due to several things, but probably stems from a different anxiety potentially...and I think it could be perhaps social anxiety or even a little ritual that soothes (OCD is also common amongst autistics. It has a high comorbidity and the OCD accentuates perseverative tendencies too which can make it more difficult to diagnosis in a person who already has an ASD diagnosis. But compulsive behaviour to soothe is fairly common.); My headcannon is that perhaps she walked right into an office before without being called in or receiving a response and was told to wait for a response or not to just come in and so she has a little countdown now before entering.

Most people interpret it from their own experience, so they think "confused". But for someone with autism, depending on the kind and degree, it can be far more than that. They can understand it intellectually, as Young-Woo does, but have no "program" associated with how to use it. (Temple Grandin was unable to walk through an automatic sliding door the first time she saw one. It didn't behave as a "door" should. This extreme sensitivity to differences helped make her an expert in cattle handling - cows don't like unexpected differences either and will refuse to move if startled by something.)

But, at the end, she could manage it and I hope that in a new season 🤞🏻she will do it better and better; remember that she is now into an “accomplishment” feeling 😊

I understand what you say. Especially in this time of great devisions between people you see how little people actually know about other countries (and vice versa). That in itself is okay. But most also have an opinion. That is wrong. We could start a political debate about all the causes but lets not go there. All I want to say is that only by reaching out to people from other cultures you begin to understand that we are all much the same. Despite differences in culture, education, social background, (national) history, etc.

If people stay in the love line, then maybe not. But her playing an autistic role can make it through several episodes to be honest. I wish they show her back story bec the 1st season is only the tip of the iceberg.

Yeah, sure…. That would slow everything down. They weren’t even planning on a season two, so where would you cram your boring subplot? What would this even be? A B story? A C story?

I can get bothered by problematic themes in regards to HR matters but not here. Even though he was not an attorney they were colleagues, not a supervisor - staff scenario. I’ve never worked anywhere that had dating policies except in certain situations, like supervising for example. I do hate when romances include a domineering CEO with a lower staff, happens in certain book genres. This series was more focused on her experience having autism as a young person starting out in adulthood.

There is season 2 so maybe
