Love these type of videos Emma! Costa Rica is such a popular tourist destination for the awesome nature and pura vida vibes. It made me reflect my time over there and it's so cool to be able to explore nature that is out of this world and to befriend locals over there. It was quite an adventure and I honestly am grateful to be able to meet you in person for the first time (and you ended up saving me too which is something I won't forget!) Times has flown so fast and I like to come back for a second time one day (probably in a couple years from now... lol). Timestamp comments: 1:16 That was primarily the reason I wanted to visit Costa Rica in the first place. So many cool waterfalls to see as well as to take a bath in as well. 1:55 - 2:00 Absolutely. As I've embarked on a lot of trips locally in my town as well domestically and internationally, the number one rule to avoid crowds is to get there early. With more people traveling these days especially towards Costa Rica, it's more important than ever to get to places early or outside of peak hours. I'm someone who kind of doesn't like crowds as it sometimes gives me some anxiety and I get a lot of peace just by having a place to myself or with little people around. 2:46 - 3:18 National parks are for sure a must do in Costa Rica. I've enjoyed my limited time over in Manuel Antonio due to having to drive back 3 hours to the SJO airport lol, but it's worth going at least once. It's so cool to see the wildlife with a tour guide and I happened to pay extra for a private tour guide. It's so cool to be able to see the wildlife close with the tour guide being able to let you see through their telescope. I love to come back and check the rest of Manuel Antonio someday because I was only able to visit for a couple hours. 3:50 - 4:07 I've heard a lot of great things about Corcovado; I've also wanted to check that national park out too! The thing about Costa Rica and many other places around the world is the infinite amount of things to see and do. Costa Rica is the king of nature as many latin american countries are like this as well (hence why many tourists love to travel there). 4:27 - 5:02 This was something I did not do other than see Arenal Volcano from a distance lol; I've wanted to go to Poas and Irazu as well; many of my Tico friends recommended me that place as well and this is something I would definitely check out if I come back one day. I did stay at an AirBnb in Alajuela and driving to Poas was about 30 minutes away as I realized but that was the time when I was preparing to drive to Quepos to do a photoshoot with you Emma (which was worth it!) 5:57 - 6:00 Definitely checked out or two beaches at my time there in Costa Rica. Beaches here are so tranquil (with the assumption that you get early of course haha); that was the first time I've been at a beach in years and it felt so nice to be there. Lol, San Jose wasn't even on the list of places I thought of visiting so I guess I dodged a bullet 7:40 - 7:47 You will get your chance one day! The time will come as you keep on doing on what you do. You will work for it and make it happen without Emma! :) 8:01 - 9:30 Definitely did this on my stay in Costa Rica. It's so magical to be able to see wildlife and some of the tallest trees with unique plants along the trail. Although I didn't do it with a guide, I got lucky and didn't come across any snakes or other dangerous wildlife but I've stumbled a lot of ant armies which were pretty cool and to hear different bird sounds! I've wanted to try and do the Reto Mae too and I love the challenge... dude lol I remember watching the video you made regarding Reto Mae and I got so inspired to try it out someday.

Hi Emma thanks for another very informative video . Another good hike to a waterfall actually Costa Rica`s highest water fall would be the hike to Bijagual Waterfall . It`s not too far from Carara Park that general area. Plus you could go to Villa Calitas after your hiking for dinner and the breath taking view . Cheers Emma and keep these wonderful videos of your coming , love hugs xxx 😘☺

Hi! I would recommend flying into San Jose and driving/shuttling down to the Central/South Pacific area - here there is a great mix of beaches and forests, waterfalls and wildlife!! You could also do a day or two closer to San Jose at the beginning or end of your trip to visit either Poas or Irazu Volcano!

Hey Emma, so I’m planning my trip to go to coata rica but I have no clue where to start. I know I would like to Fly into La Fortuna and do hikes and water falls. Please help me

This sounds like a great start! I would say to split the trip up with some time near La Fortuna to hike, see the waterfall and volcano, and then head either to Guanacaste or further south to Manuel Antonio for beach time!
