Bro what happened to the helmet you had with face protection? Riding a 40 mph prototype wheel with that bern helmet won’t save your teeth. Love from Chicago, keep up the good work.
The fact that Inmotion doesn’t send Hsiang a wheel increases my trust of Hsiang’s reviews. I don’t trust youtubers who are whoring their integrity for sponsorships and flat out financial compensation. Big thanks to Hsiang for going against the grain.
I love your videos where you travel. Your “range test” of the s18 was one of my favorites. Even knowing you pre-script all of your monologues, your videos seem so casual and genuine. I would love to see you and Mickey collaborate on an EUC polo match, he could capture the action, and you could commentate a full match.
This feels like it's trying to be the wheel for "everyone" but not quite being wholly for anyone. Probably the expected result from the crowdsourced development cycle. It's fast but wobbles at speed with only a 16in tire. It's a compact 16in wheel but is heavy as hell and tall for its size. It's 100v but has a very mellowed out acceleration curve over 30mph and tilts the pedals up at 40mph. A competent wheel in many ways but one that I don't see myself wanting or recommending for anything specific. I guess Mickey can play polo well with it though.
Thank you for the review. Looks like the V12 has bigger battery, bigger motor, greater range, wider tire, built in display. But compared to the V11, no suspension, smaller tire, poorer headlight, potentially unstable at higher speed. For my money (which I expect to lay out in the next few days), the V11 still looks better overall. As someone who has a 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with air shocks in the back, I'll take the adjustable suspension. Top speed and range are still plenty, I think.
Are......you.......ready.... ROLL........THE.......INTRO... Do you also smile when you hear that? Does life suddenly seem better and ok? It does for me.....YAAAAYE.
I have an inmotion v12hs for a year now, no issues, 3.6k km for now, 0 cut offs, trolley is not flimsy and doesn't rattle in any position, no wheel vibrations. Ask me anything, mine is with blue motherboard, batch 1 I believe
I have a v12 HS for about a year and have over 2k on it. I use it daily for commuting. I'm considering getting the new v11y or something else. I really want something lighter than 70lb and has longer range
@@jackskelington19 I've tried v11, it has high pedals, the wheel is tall as well, i prefer v12 hs over v11 for everyday commuting, mounting the wheel with high pedals in the city where you stop multiple times during your commute is annoying also pumping up the tire is pain in the butt. Kingsong s16 pro looks sweet tho
Very cool that you rode around in DC. I saw in the background the amazing Museum of African American history. Hope you had an opportunity to check it out. Thanks for sharing!!
@@tonymandon9615 Yeah. But for a bit peace of mind buy new. Unless the second hand EUC has been baby-ed (is that a word) by first owner. My V5f I mishandeld it. I am not that careful.
Yea get the V8, waaay better and safer while being the best training wheel. But buy it with the white protective cover, it's way more comfortable with it
Another beautiful vid. No armour brave. I suit up like lanserlot. 65kph ok round town. Screen nice. But unisquare.watchin for sneezing or chasing dogs ha. Treats in poket.
As always good and relevant info mate. Appreciated. First batch always have errors I find, even Inmotion have that problem. The torque test was a good idea. Thx for many informative and entertaining videos over the years. I have Sherman so I need a smaller wheel too, the MCM5 is dirtcheap and a worthy compititor for the V12, not as good but much much cheaper. MCM5 v1 is for the absolut beginner a good wheel if you cant afford this one I find. Its 14" not 16" a little fragile but very portable.
why KS and in motion not into the highspeed game? No country has infrastructure for it. Bike lane used for peddle biker avg speed 8-12 mpg. Class 3 top 28mph but most riders do around 20. High speed euv goes 40-50mph. A small miss costs life, either rider's or the pedestrian. It's not fun being hit by a 50lbs metal in 40mph as a pedestrian. And your life probably ruined due to legal battle and compensation. I'm actually surprised no one being killed yet since 2016 the community rolls, though severe injury happens
Hi Mr Hsiang. Im curious has any person ever in the history of euc ever had there wheel balanced? Ive never heard of any .. ever. My z10 is famous for wobble and i also have not had it balanced. I just ride fast anyway cause i love it.
Great video as usual... 1.it looks like Inmotion is still gonna be Inmotion. Overly complicated wheels that may be difficult to fix. Unless it's a V10... 2. That's a nasty elbow cut, bro. I fell- and hit the same unprotected elbow- but flush with the ground last October. (Also on an Inmotion...🤔) $14k in surgery later- it still isn't right. Most likely never will be. ELBOW PADS, BRO!
Thanks for such detailed video! I'm barely learning about this stuff as I'm considering to open my own electric personal mobility shop eventually. Definitely subbing!
And that's why I prefer to stick with my Nikola/Sherman combo. You get the best of both worlds without trying to put it all in one and making a wheel that is all compromise. P.S. Was it fun getting the trolly butt poke while riding? 😁😉
Did you bring your main wheel (the red one) to Philly?? My roommate said he saw someone else (other than me) wheeling down our street! He said he had a red helmet and wheel, then this video comes out 😆 Small world! Woulld have loved to talk wheels with you, as I'm new to the world of EUC's!
While I'm not so sure about the V12, I am quite sure about those pancakes. No BUT's about that! I do like that InMotion is trying something new going 100V, polish like a luxury car, actual IP rating for water, but the impression I get of all IM wheels is that they are all so fragile and can be broken easily when folks are used to pushing it like a Gotway wheel. That's coupled with what looks to be a really complicated repair process, from obtaining parts to installation. It's like those shiny cars you stay away from because you break it once, and it never runs the same again. 16 inch wheels are the beginner sweet spot though. Get that torque, zippiness, compact form but pay the price in wobbles if you go too fast too early. Til next time BFF!
Green with envy u live in NY and get to ride with a community but not envious of the size of apartments 😁 I live in the country in the UK 🇬🇧 Cheshire like you see in peaky blinders and downtown Abbey 😊 I have large apartment space but no one to share it with 👍
I have the ks16x and i ride it at 31mph just about all the time. I know when i purchase my next wheel ill ride it at top speed. I cant help it. I want a wheel i can ride at a consistent 45 mph. I hope kingsong makes a fast wheel soon
Hsiang....there is a lot of EUC content out there. But I love your work and really hope the government will accept these hyper-efficent methods of transport and one day I could host you for a visit to urban and rural UK. And also show you we know how to make pancakes too ;)
I could clearly see the drooling going on behind your mask Hsiang and it wasn't over the V12! How to easily distract Hsiang? Put him in a historical mainline station, with lots of architecture! 😉😅🤣😎

I heard the app doesnt work... i tried to sign up and it says error then says my email is registered lol i mean do i need the app ??? Possible new E Rider here
Love your videos bro! 💪🏽 As someone who has a lot of riding time on the V11 and V12, what would you say the differences are between the two as far as how they feel at 30+ mph and the torque/takeoff speed? I own a V11 and want a little more speed and range for commuting and with the reasonable price of the V12 I thought it would be a good upgrade but I just want to make sure I’m not gonna be stressed out by wobbles while cruising at 35-38 MPH
I can see the appeal of the wheel to some. Especially from a feature point of view.. BUT I'd never buy one, cause the setup/wiring just to change a simple tire can be rocket-sciency. You might want to check out the "recio wheel" if you haven't seen it before. Only a prototype so far, nonetheless very promising.
😂😭😭😭My new Inmotion V12 just DIED after a medium brake/followed by medium acceleration. I fell on my ass and after this I recalled what happened with the V12 in the video where a guy tried to Accelerate/brake/acceleration. The motor is "Locked"😭 I'm interested to know if this has happened to other V12's🙏😊 Ride safe ❤️
LOL the coffee was just average, but everything else was amazing! didn't really look like much with the metal trays and cafeteria self serving line, but the pancake and sausages was amazing!
Love the video. I see you're one of the few guys who doesn't wear a full face helmet. I'm also in NYC and don't really want to wear a bulky full face helmet. What are your thoughts?
Think of your teeth. Better wear a full face helmet, even if you find it slightly uncomfortable. Some people may find seatbelts uncomfortable, but it’s still a good idea to use them.
@@visiop1 Yeah. That's why I'm defaulting towards the full face. I won't be doing high speeds or even that much regular street riding, but I guess better safe than sorry.
I wear a half helmet most of the time and take the risk. With my full face it obstructs my vision and I've clipped pedals on things I couldn't see because of it. Debating on a MX helmet that is more open.
Today i subscribed to your channel as you effectively waste 10 to 15 minutes of my life every fortnight do you are very consistent lol I like your channel your honest and don't blast my ears with affiliate adverts like the rest of the US ass kisses. Enjoy the independent life and keep up the good work. My bad did I come off topic lol
Any one in the New York area fixes Euc’s I need someone to troubleshoot my INMOTION V10 I spent $220 on a controller thinking that was the problem but it’s something else going on My INMOTION v10 shows no indication of power after installing new motherboard. What could be the problem? This all happened because the wheel was free spinning as I was putting it into my locker and the tire was burning rubber on the bottom floor of my locker and I couldn’t get it to stop spinning then everything just cut off and when I tried to power it on nothing would light up at all just completely dead. Opened it up and the fuse was blown replaced the fuse and that didn’t work So I thought it was the motherboard. I need to bring it to someone in person. Pay $200 if you can fix it
Have you tried the electric scooter repair shops in NYC? There’s also some in Hoboken/JC. They’re worth a shot. Lmk us know if you find a solution, important to know. Thanks
Dude, there's silly funny trick, that could highly improve your pronunciation, and, consequently, audio quality. Any given bumpy ride drives your Rode Go crazy more over the fact, that it makes proper pronunciation and breathing really difficult. Take 5 minutes before any given filming day to this: take champagne bung hold it with your teeth and say several tongue twisters as precise as you can. Just give it a go, you'll be surprised with the result. =) edit^ It helped me a lot with my speech shuttering and mumbling deffects a while ago
I've never heard of a wheel having more motherboard problems than the V11. And I heard the V12 is using the same small MOSFETs again like the V11🤦♂️ I'll be getting an EX.N
