His complaints on the body roll is obviously because he didn't get adaptive dampers. The high sidewall on these small rims he has is not helping either.
The same deal with the GLC & SQ5; the extra nice options rack up the price (GLC highest)! However; the M40i has better performance between all! The brakes & tires on the GLC will fade much quicker (costly)! The SQ5 interior is a little nicer with the Prestige model! AND the list is so long lol! Bottom line if U R looking for performance get the M40i with the upgraded wheels and cup sport tires (not shown in video)! If you want Quite ride and performance when needed the SQ5! If you want Luxury the GLC but get the full options which can drive the price to more than 70K! PROS & CONS in every SAV's lol :))
xavierp0nce - Great , I passed in my Lexus 350RX ... now between Audi Q5 and BMW X3 since ( x1 too small and X5 is a tad 2 big). Do you recommend BMW X3 and which is better M class or the reg Drive 30i ?
This review is a bizarre one and certainly doesn’t agree with the majority of other reviewers who generally love the engine, the ride, the transmission and the versatility. Just bizarre.
I agree. At the end of the day, you have to test drive it and see what your take is on it. You may be surprised as to how much your impression maybe different than a so called expert.
Happy people never really cared of what others have to say; I’ve got mine last Christmas on Terra Brown, I always find an excuse to drive it everyday, Best BMW I’ve ever owned.
The same here... I own 2014 X3 and can not wait to upgrade it... 4 Years no issues... just pure pleasure to drive... Only complains... I got too many speeding tickets :-) As sometime I get lost while driving it and do not pay attention to the speed.
I bought a certified used X3 m40i and I don’t notice anything he says about the vehicle. All you have to do is drive one for yourself and see what you think. I like having a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
@@joelhirschi6680 got mine 2 weeks ago. I love it ! Minus the fact the CEL came on cause the active grille shutters were stuck in the open position (it’s a very common issue with this model) but ima get it replaced since i have warranty on it right now
If you are going to review the X3 M40i, compare it to the cars it actually compares to like the SQ5! I was really hoping to learn about the X3 xDrive30i and you included all variants from $42k to $70k.
has one for a day and its suspension is super firm and feely more firm them my m4, porsche boxster gts and my z4M, and I felt every bump in the road, the regular x3 was much better in terms of ride..maybe if you get the air suspension it will be better, it was awesome to drive but too firm...
I test drove the Audi Q5S the bmw x3 40i and the Porsche Macan. To say that the BMW has more body roll that either of these two is so inaccurate I don't want to say what it needs to be called. Just not even close to being true :o WOW is all I'm gonna say about that.
Besides the outrageous price, the 4-cyl version avoids most of the issues you have w the 6-cyl car. I loved the 4 cyl version. It’s too bad it’s so expensive.
It looks girlish, the wheels look tiny and proportioned to the body plus the AWD sucks on BMW'S. Also, there's no Android Auto and 4-Cyl for that much money, no way!. I can see a V6 with Turbos but not a 4 banger for that amount of money!
I’ve seen all the reviews for this great car and this guy is the clown of the bunch 🤡. It has different modes so you can pick, big surprise sport mode…..is sporty !? The way he raises and lowers the inflections in his voice is hard to listen to.
I drove both X3 & RDX A-spec yesterday and after driving my '15 Base AWD RDX I expected to be impressed by the RDX based on glowing reviews however, the switch to 4-cyl was evident. I was a bit disappointed w/the RDX because besides the appearance & the obvious upgrades in features I was still underwhelmed. I'm considering going w/the X3 at this point. May have to take them both for another spin.

BMW's horrible designs are hard to overlook despite how fast they are. Toyota has a more interesting design language than BMW. For me, appearance and driving dynamics are much more important than pure speed, both of which BMW has fallen behind in.
William Baker they look like a Honda and a Nissan put their worst designs together and made this. No soul in BMW's anymore. They're riding on brand name for now
