CMON PEOPLE watch the beginning of the fight and be realistic this is NOT the fighter that Holyfield Lewis Douglas McBride beat. This version of Tyson would have eaten them alive
Eaten Lewis alive? Not so sure of that one. He’s generally ranked much higher than Tyson and considered a top 5 ATG. McBride? Absolutely. Tyson would have murdered him in one round.
This version, that version, yeh but in his absolute prime, he would've, he could've. But he didn't. He lost against anyone who was not scared of him. He never beat a legend in their prime.
@@michaelmurphy1127 great logic. Holmes lost to countless people after he came back from retirement. Doesn’t matter that he was old, he came back and lost so he’s not a legend because he lost when he was not in his prime. Seriously? This is completely laughable logic
same could be said about Liston and Dempsey. these 2 could have been unbeatable given the best training, background and resources in today's world. Liston's hand span was 15 inches ! Thats bigger than Shaq's !
@@robertdemon3550 ;so true, and Tysons' skills had diminished after 3 years inert in prison. Tyson noted:"Everybody resumes I trained hard while locked-up for 3 years, but I wasn't PERMITTED to properly train;I was in PRISON,not the local community center!!!"
@@michaelmurphy1127 George Forman was great but Iron Mike Tyson was faster and more elusive and hit just as hard if not harder Big George Forman would have lost.
@@norrismulgrew859 heck no Foreman wouldnt have let Tyson get close enough to hit him like Frazier, Tyson would gas out the 6th round and get ko'ed or beat on points. Even Tyson's trainer Teddy Atlas said Foreman would beat Tyson. Style's make fights and Tyson's style would work against himself much like Frazier who had a similar style. Foreman would catch Mike coming in and jab and push at him to disrupt his rhythm then catch him with huge uppercuts because he was open when he came in.
Tyson had the ability to get inside and then from there deliver knockout power with his Upper Cuts, for a small heavyweight he was amazing. there will never be anybody like him, not even close
Brilliant video, enjoyed watching this very much. Thank you. Mike Tyson was very special. There will never be anyone like him in the next 100 years. World Heavyweight Champion at 20. He was just a kid. Amazing.
@@ricktaylor3748 ya sure or mabey more than that but there's something wrong about what hi side Because I am perfecting the steyl Quickly mabey I don't have the opportunity to show u or the world but hii I know what I can do just wait
Plain & simple . ................ TYSON Critics claims - "HE BEAT BUMS" !!!!! But in reality, TYSON just made a lot of tough top contenders & champions look like "BUMS"
When watching old clips of Tyson, I’m always reminded of how he had the same big power in both hands, with any kind of punch. There are plenty of fighters who have a big overhand right, a big right uppercut, or a big left hook. Tyson had a big everything. Helped him score those KOs because he didn’t need to set up for one specific punch with one specific hand. Just throw anything with ill intention.
Mike's accuracy to hit what or where he wants along with his speed is amazing. Not to mention his awesome Stamina makes him an amazing unbeatable Champion. He is a very Amazing Man.
He can take it as well as he dished, but his shots are more focused and purposeful in landing than Ruddock’s. Getting a rematches with IMT didn’t help him any. Losing twice in a row clearly shows who’s more lethal in their primes.
Sorry but Bruno was not scared of Tyson at all. Only man apart from Holyfield to fight Tyson more thn once professionally. Also the first to expose a chink in Tyson's armour.
Just another day in the office for good ol' Mike...Love how whenever he's up to mischief the Ref would always go.. "Mike!" and Tyson would look like a kitten caught massacring a small chick..."I was only thrying to play". Mad Love for Mike as always!
Imo only Smith looks like he's giving plenty elbows in rounds 1&2 but he looks like a dad that's saying " I still got it" when he lost it a long time ago 🤣🧓 Tysons just a joy to watch what a champ 🏆
At one point, the announcer said, "Tyson only hit him with half a punch." Well, if Tyson only hit me with half a punch, I'd be unconscious until next Friday! 😂 🎉
That's why I'm talking about ! Tyson already fought heavy hitters and beat them all and i believe Wilder has no chance against Mike Tyson at any era 💯🔥
That was a awesome video 📸 of fighting with Iron Mike Tyson's hard hitting abilities, those was some terrible hooks Mike be throwing at his opponents. He made every opponents hit the floor, liked the sound effects too.
A few months later Lennox Lewis totally destroyed Ruddock in 1 round. Holyfield destroyed Douglas in 3 rounds. Tyson was very very good but Holyfield and Lewis totally outboxed him and were better boxers
@columkenn and Iron Mike Tyson knocked out Larry Holmes and Evander Holyfield went the distance also Iron Mike Tyson was the only man to knock out Michael Spinks.
Mike Tyson was something serious, The Baddest Man on The Planet at one time, I saw a video of him on a talk show when he was in his mid 50s and he stated that he didn't like that man, referring to himself when he was young and destroying every boxer he fought, said he wanted to forget about it, I thought that was a bit strange, But that is what he said, There will never be another like him in my time at least. 💪
Think this fight tells you, Ali would've given him a boxing lesson. Jab and grab all night long. But unlike the bonecrusher, Ali would've been more accurate in his counter punching ,
Tyson would have lost against Ali and if he went after him hard Ali would have knocked him out. Tyson could have knocked Ali down but no way he stays down and that is where it is over for Tyson. Ali matches caliber of fight and Tyson couldn't handle lesser fighters let alone Ali.

@@sureactivity Already seen them. Tyson would get smashed. There is a reason he doesnt have a single title defence in the 90s, and thats because the step up from the late 80s was as big if not bigger than the step down from the 90s generaition to the mod 2000s generaition. Top 5 90s HW were -Lennox -Evander - Bowe -Foreman - Moorer. Mike was a big can crusher, and did it consistently and constantly through his career. He always went back to binmen like Mcneely, whilst the others (with only a couple of exceptions) fought world level guys once they broke into the top 10
Iron Mike Tyson has left a mark on my life. He was my childhood hero, he feared no one even when he was rocked and hit hard by his challengers' punches.
I've gotta say no matter whether Tyson won or lost he never knew defeat till the fat lady sang! He never quit he just took what was given, dealt with it and carried on till he won or lost!!! True champion..complete warrior..kill or be killed!! THAT can never be taken away from him come win or lose, he fought with all he had till it was over! He was the epitome of an old days gladiator..
He was a quitter who bit Holyfield when he was getting hurt, so he would be disqualified. He was pathetic, he couldn't take it, just dish it out. A typical bully.
1. Tyson is A perfect student of his craft. I am ambidextrous and have Been Learning the Pendulum style for a while the first Lesson was to swing side to side with the neck, waist, and legs and throw punches when the opponent is in offensivewhile moving forward and stepping on sides. Being a good dancer means you can perfectly spot the off-beats. ie when the Opponent shifts from defensive to offensive. He Maintains the Defensive posture with his hands up always while swinging / from the waist for punching power and the kneck when defensive. This wears out the orthodox fighter's jab trying to hunt for Tyson's Head real quick and the opponent finally will drop hands or need so much concentration to attack which is impossible with the continuous pounding. 2. Tyson Has a tough jaw. He was beating the guys but he was also being punched really hard but not dropping. 3. Tyson is the Most entertaining Boxer. I always sit down and watch what will happen to the other guy because I can not be like Tyson but what if I was the other guy.
Tyson has such good body movement most punches taken are only glancing where his own are solid and he slowed them down by pounding away at the body which takes all the fight out of his oponent
@@columkenn Buster didn't beat Mike Tyson, Mike knocked him on the canvas floor and the referee gave buster a 13 count instead of the standard 8 to get up. Mike punched himself out because he was not in shape for the fight.
@@tonyoliver5537 Don't make lame excuses. Mike doesn't make lame excuses. He accepts he was beaten. Afterwards Holyfield destroyed Douglas in 3 rounds.
Alex Stewart was looking at Tyson’s right before the last 3rd knock down, instead the left got the better of him and Alex was down for the second time. Tyson’s left is just as hard as the right. And his right is just as hard as the left! Tyson is a gifted puncher far above every class of boxer!!!!!
When Tyson fought Bruno the 1st time you could see the lack of head movement he was just standing in the pocket taking shots he did a lot of that I noticed after switching trainers.
I agree. When Tyson was at his prime, he was unstoppable. He had underrated chin, fast reflecxes, okay defense. I think iron Mike is one of the best heavyweight boxer who had ever lived, if not the best. Comparing example A Joshuas record to Tysons, AJ had quite easy ride towards championship. It's sad that mr Tyson had personal problems outside of ring, and sure those took some focus away from boxing and training. Mike Tyson is one of the greatest ever, and nobody cannot change that. t Mikael from Finland, Fan of one and only IRON MIKE
@@shawnperri8825 Ok sir. You are right, when Mike was at his peak and focused, he avoid almost every coming punch. Best pieces of his defense are all over his matches, but my favorite is at Reggie Gross fight. First round about halfway, Mike dotches some ten punches and floors Gross by jumping left hook. GREAT. Anyway, like I said in my first comment, to me Tyson is icon. Here in Finland we didn't know about Mike before he had about 20 wins, rest is history. Sorry if I misjudged Tysons defense to you 😉🙃. R we cool ?
The ferocity of Mike Tyson in the ring could send shivers down the spines of any boxers of his era. Only Evander Holyfield escaped the full force of Tyson's power punches. But if Holyfield gets three combos, I am quite sure he would go down.
Best Tyson fight documentary I've seen. Thanks. Notice how he was a lot smaller than all his opponents? I like how he developed the fake high right-hook/right-hook to the body more, like against Ruddock. Canelo's good at this. These taller bigger guys needed an Ali-Frazier approach with better jabs. That's what Lennox Lewis understood. Tyson is more like Marciano than any other heavyweight in history it seems like. Tyson vs. Usyk.

Iron Mike Tyson lost because he didn't train and was partying all nite he didn't take the fight seriously. A prime Iron Mike Tyson would have knocked him out.
2 good fights to analyze on this video is the Bonecrusher fight and the second Rudduck fight. You can see in the Bonecrusher fight, Tysons technical skills were much better. He got hit less, threw more jabs and his combination punching was better, which is why Bonecrusher was fighting a survival fight. But in the Rudduck fights, particularly the second one, you can see Tysons slippage in skills and how he was missing Kevin Rooney. He was getting hit more and wasn't using his jab as frequently and using the same head movement. So when people bring up Tysons best, it was when he was trained by Kevin Rooney. Any fight after, Tysons technical skills weren't the same anymore. And he was still in his physical prime against Rudduck but his technical skills and mechanics had eroded
Yes correct! You can already see it in the first fight with Frank Bruno, which is his first fight without Kevin Rooney. Tyson also lost all the discipline to maintain the stamina he needed to go the distance with bigger guys. Kevin Rooney made sure he was disciplined.
This goes to show you how hard George Foreman punches. One 6-inch punch electrocuted Michael Moorer. But holyfield knock him down five times and the guy kept jumping up like it was nothing
You can't be the best of all time when you aren't even the best of your time. George Foreman at 40+ years old scared Tyson so much he wouldn't even fight him.
I watched the bone crusher smith fight live, and I cannot for the life of me understand why mills lane didn’t disqualify Smith for such blatant, desperate and persistent holding. He definitely deserved a dq
@@johnburns5860 John, he only made it the whole fight by holding on for his life every time he could. ? What you on about? You haven’t watched the whole fight have you? Watch it and you will see clearly how much fighting time Smith spent clinging onto tyson for dear life. And it was disappointing even more because Smith was a real tough dude and he could’ve put up a good show. But he consciously chose to grab and do anything he could do, just to go the 12 rounds and last the distance. He deserved to be disqualified.
@@BottleBri Of course I've watched. I have met Bonecrusher. And yes, he held and held and held. But I sure didn't go 12 rounds with Mike Tyson, and few other men have.
This is a good video to shut the mouths of all those who keep saying that Mike Tyson fought with bums. Its to Mike Tyson's credit that he makes great fighters look powerless when he meets them. Mike Tyson's aura alone puts fear in his opponents. Iron Mike Tyson is one of the greatest boxers ever.
I remember watching Tyson destroy every fighter who had never been knocked out before Tyson showed up but quickly tasted his power early in most fights shocking the boxing world.
WRONG. Tyson didn't beat anyone that was good. So how can you say that? I'm sure you are going to come back with Holmes right? Holmes was WAY out of his prime and old. Spinks? First answer; who did Spinks beat other than old man Holmes that was good? Spinks beat NOBODY. Boxing was CRAP when Tyson was champion.
