Orlin Norris is a smart man Even after 25 years anyone looking at these highlights could see he didn’t want no part of Mike after that accidental knock down after the bell. He conveniently used that to get out of a desperate situation not even taking an L in the process. His mama didn’t raise no fool.
Whether you think Mike Tyson was the greatest of all time or not, nobodys fights get watched over and over more than Mikes. He was very exciting to watch...spectacular to watch is a better word.
@@winteroutside7014 There is a reason Fury chose the name Tyson. Can you guess what it is ? So how about you ask him if "meh" is a word he would use to describe Mike. Hmmm ?
The man no one can ever replace there will never ever be another like this man I lived through his prime to finish seen all fights most of them being minutes long but still very very well worth it this man was an absolute power house small stature good reach perfected peek a boo style he was the best in my eyes the real machine of boxing this man is a legend
Everyone's always quick to compliment tyson on his power and rightfully so, but his head movement in avoiding shots was just as amazing those skills are whT made mike IRON Mike tyson..
Often Offends.. Yes douglas finessed tyson in that fight, but again your speaking of youngest heavy weight of ALL time, Mike tyson even with all his trials and tribulations has risen to be an amazing athlete, yes drugs alcohol hookers made things worse.for him but the shit this man has gone through and being ripped of by piece of garbage Don King is horrible but comparing to tyson loosing his baby girl in that terrible accident the money being gone imsure means nothing!! I've always been a tyson fan die hard just like when it comes to basketball I'm Jordan 1000%!!!!!
@@x.mr.full.ebaked.x8946 Youngest doesn't translate to best. If that were the case you'd have Benetiz as lb for lb greatest. 17 and a champ. I great to be sure but not the GOAT.
@@scottg6754 - Agreed and one must look at who Tyson beat to become undisputed champ- Berbick, James Smith and Toney Tucker who fought with a broken right hand. Not bad fighters, but 3 of the weakest champs ever.
Thank you very much my friend for keeping the flame of this magnificent gladiator burning, who in my humble opinion is one of the best 5 heavyweight boxers in history, he is my favorite boxer of all, the most spectacular boxer of all time, thanks for keeping the Mike Tyson legend long live the King of boxing! he was never defeated in my mind Tyson is forever the best of all the most charismatic inside and outside the Ring! A true genius immortal idol!!!
I guess the outside ring behavior of rape was forgotten tho? One of the best boxers ever, but don’t get things twisted, Mike then was not Mike nowadays.
I want to go back and live in the 1980’s again. That was a great time to be alive. 2022 is a nightmare to be an American. This country has gone to shit over the last 30-40 years.
I’m sure all these fighters shared the same thought after being in the ring with Mike for the first two rounds “ what the hell did my manager make me step into. This man is gonna kill me”
Mike Tyson’s boxing was just incredible and fascinating to watch. Amazing to think he’d won so many fights (over 25 at that stage. Zero defeats) before he was even 20 years of age!
His management team did that by design. Two years of fighting once a month then go for the title. You need to have great management to get all those fights. Credit to Bill Cayton and Jim Jacobs. And Cus D'Amato!
What a skilled and tactical fighter Mike was. Great performances, totally fearless and just came forward and hammered his opponents. Great video compilation, thanks for this.
@@smokin2again right I watch tyson and all the fighters when people like ali Frazier holyfield all say mike tyson was the best the only naysayers ate Larry holmes who is jelly and mayweathrr who wouldn't last 5 minutes with tyson
Cus damatto sure taught Mike how to bob, weave and duck his. Head to avoid punches. I don't see any other fighter making use of that tactic. That cus, he's a legend in my eyes. Can't mention Mike's name without giving props to cus. Rip cus. You will never be forgotten by me.
As heavy as his punches were I don’t think people give him enough credit for how strong his chin was. He’s taken some legit shots over his time and walked right through them like they were nothing.
Yup that's true Tyson never got enough recognition for all the punches he's taking while beating so many big guys and never complaining ... At 20 yes he was the most dangerous fighter out there and prove it .
I'd put him behind Liston and his ex sparring partner Foreman in the intimidation stakes before a fight, Liston in or out of the ring was a very unnerving man.
TYSON just a completely different animal in the ring, that neck those body shots and uppercuts 😳,i’m 51 and for me he’s the best ever and i’ve seen him from day 1 CHAMP !!!
Tyson is probably the most powerful, natural heavyweight champion I have seen in my lifetime. He just looked like a caged tiger pacing prior to the fight and once unleashed he was frightening to watch. His was truly the "sweet science".
I always loved Mike Tyson from tell begining and never believed that he deserved to go to prison. He didn't expect that to happen to him. And lately I have watched all of his fights all over. I'm glad to know that he is a grower now. Tyson will always be the best and Greatest champion of all time.
Like most everybody in the comments section I've re-watched so many of Mike's fights and he just didn't get hit clean very often. Best example of this was the Greene fight and Mike just toying with Mitch, making him miss.
And that’s what I just couldn’t understand… opponents with longer reach, muscle definition, height, just couldn’t hit like Mike . Amazing to watch him break down monsters though he were Superman .
@@od1umct people (casuls) say mike didnt fight top guys he fought everybody EVERYBODY but just made them look average all the guys he fought bk in the late 80s were top guys angelo dundes fighters took them all out
Golota had suffered a fractured orbital bone, brain swelling, and some other injuries. Any boxing vet knows how dangerous that break is. Any punch on or near the injured eye could easily cause partial or even total blindness in that eye. After that he would never be certified again and his career would be over. By withdrawing Golota might have saved his life and probably saved his career. No shame should be put on the man.
this is what makes the Mitch Green fight so special. Mike was determined to punish Green and Green never backed down an inch. One of Iron Mike's greatest fights.
Really needing no introduction the world over, the 1 & only Iron Mike Tyson 👌 surely an iconic statement about the boxing legend , 👏 Mike truly deserves his place in history 👑
Andrew Golota did not refuse to fight. He suffered a fractured orbital bone in his left eye and a ruptured disk in his neck. He told his corner he needed medical attention, and they ignored him. That's why he quit. In fact, he collapsed in the locker room and had to be sent by ambulance to the hospital where he nearly died.
Quand tu t'accroches aux bras de ton adversaire depuis le début du combat c'est que tu refuses le combat, sa blessure n'a rien à voir avec son attitude, sa défense était inexistante sur son côté gauche
Real smart. Holds on for the whole fight and loses by unanimous decision. He should have saved the "effort" and thrown in the towel after the first round was over.
Loving your videos. Mike was an absolute beast, whim, if he had kept to the proper regime, away from drugs and Don King - would have been the new yardstick. Absolute machine of a man.
I'm glad the algorithm recommended this. I've seen all of Tyson's knockouts but had never seen some of these fights. Those body shots in the Ferguson fight...my God.
I remember this fight. I was 11 years old. I am from the same county as James Smith. A lot of my older cousins and uncles was glad that he is from the area but his ego needed to be in check. For what I can remember, my uncle was said that he was buying dinner the next night. Looking back on it, now I know why. That was the most fun I had a Pizza hut. #RIPUncleJimmy #StillHurtsCancerSucks
I remember watching his pay per views live back in his prime on my buddies big screen with surround sound. The sound of his punches brutalizing his opponents on those big speakers as a kid are a sound ill never forget. Mike is a BAD BAD dude. I had nightmares about the guy
Your videos are the best there are of Tyson on youtube dear I always see them and I love them you edit very well keep up your work which is excellent, it's a shame that the fight against macnelly was credited as a disqualification because mike really knocked him out. Tyson's true record is 45 knockouts
One other thing I recall from standing in the crowd watching Tyson lift 220pd men with his punching power, were the exclamations of "fuck that" coming from the people watching, all slack jawed and deflated.....
It was a very active defense to offense. But it was time dependent as it took a lot of energy out of you. Tyson only had that as an active strategy for about half the fight and then he slowed down. Got tied up. Still tough it became a different fight.
They robbed him for two wins(two ko's) Norris and Golota. That's only one thing, they robbed Mike for many other things. Fans know what about i talk... And nobody say nothing about that but famous "bite" everybody know everything about that!!! It's a shame! Serbia
The veterans division in boxing came to an end when Holyfield got beat ugly by the RU-vid guy. Tyson, who lost to Holyfield (remember) would have suffered the same thing.
I generally think boxing It's boring. But there is nothing like watching Mike Tyson come out into the ring. He just comes out like a beast and just starts fighting and he doesn't stop until someone goes down.
You do know Mike beat Lennox back in the 80s. And no way. Lennox beat a way out of prime Tyson, don't be delusional. 80s or early 90s Mike would kill any version of Lewis.
Watching those men take repeated punches to the liver, kidneys, ribs and the head just blows my mind, especially considering it is Iron Mike Tyson who is delivering those punches. If I had had the opportunity to get in the ring with Iron Mike I would have used the 'Peek-A-Boo-Possum' technique: immediately after Iron Mike's first swing you fall to the canvas and play dead.
I truly believe if Cus had lived another 10 years you'd be talking about the greatest heavyweight EVER!The leeches got ahold of Mike and ruined him unfortunately.
I agree. Tyson hung on to his short peak but just destroying an exceptionally talented Spinx. That fight could have been the start of his potential. But the combination of Cus dying, then Jacobs, there was nobody to tell him no.
I totally agree. Cus was like a conscience for Mike and loosing him...he lost his voice of reason. He is still by far on the Mount Rushmore of boxing...if he had that solid voice of reasoning he would have been by far the greatest of all time!!
Young mike's reflexes is excellent. He sees incoming power punches, ducks and counter attack. I remember with his rematch with bruno, waiting for too long with the adds then comes the brit's lead hook, mike ducks and pounded him into the ropes. I was pissed it's over just like that in some seconds🤣
