Lots of good points. Painters tape is a must, library card is a must, and staying focused on which books you actually want and ignoring “good deals” on books you don’t really want. Good stuff man!
Great tips! You are so right about trying to save yourself from spontaneous spending on minor keys. It may not feel like it but your pile of money saved from that will bring so much more joy when you imagine what big book you can use it toward.
Words of wisdom! Thanks for sharing. I absolutely agree with the painter's tape. I'm going to start dinging sellers in reviews if they are still using scotch tape or packing tape inside the box. Outside the box, yes, use good sturdy tape, but inside the box using scotch tape to secure cardboard or bubble wrap is just asking for trouble. I am also guilty of buying too many minor-key bargains. I need to lock up my piggy bank until I've saved enough for a high-grade AMS #300!
