I love My Father’s World, we’ve never done but every time I see it think about switching. I love play dough and bubbles. I really think I might incorporate the morning basket.

I really think Masterbooks is just taking over the homeschool world. It’s just a really good curriculum.

I love year round homeschooling too! Love the crafting idea for toddlers-so great for fine motor development!

Thanks for the tips. We are a family of 6 and we are considering jumping for cyber schooling to homeschooling but we’re nervous to make the jump

What i want to know is how are you getting your 5 and 6 year old? My almost 3 year old is refusing to nap don’t even suggest such a thing to my almost 5 year old.

I loved Story of the World and Mystery of History but I’ve found that SOTW is better for elementary and MOH is better for middle school just because of reading level. And I love how you can combine so much with your kids so close in age!

Our Blessed Life I agree! It definitely feels more appropriate for older ages even though they say it can be stretched for younger.

Such a fun collab and resource for homeschoolers! My younger two love entertaining themselves with water beads and stamps too but my youngest tends to stamp EVERYthing though so I can’t take me eye off her for long.

I busted out laughing when you messed up the ages/grades too! 🤣 we think a lot alike with our homeschool tips! We are moving to more of a year round type homeschool. All of life’s interruptions add up especially when you are pregnant almost every year! 🤣

I always love hearing how other large family mamas school their kiddos. We do many subjects together as well. Makes a huge difference in our family as a unit and saving time in our day.

Love the independence of the older kids! It helps so much. Involving the little ones has been so beneficial for us too. Great tips!!

I have the same age kids/grades except my youngest just turned one and no other babies I feel like I’m relearning how to homeschool after many tried and tested and failed attempts through the years! I still can’t believe how many years we’ve been doing this. So grateful for the time together and all we’re learning 🥰

right when I was confident, I started freaking out about what exactly to teach each year for 3 different grade levels. Like, what areas of social studies am I supposed to cover for each of them? What year am I supposed to cover the 50 states? What year am I supposed to talk about the thirteen colonies, the different wars, etc? How do I combine? How do I keep them at their grade levels for testing?? UGH

@@PenniesAndSalt this year will be 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I also have an almost 4 yr old and almost 2 yr old. We are in Washington state and are required to teach 11 subjects however we choose: Language, Reading, Spelling, writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, History, Health, Occupational Ed., and Art & Music Appreciation. 😵 We have been doing Moving Beyond the Page, Saxon Math, Building Spelling Skills, and Explode the Code through a virtual academy and that has been crazy having to upload work and not being able to do subjects together
@peachy_reina

@@PenniesAndSalt moving beyond the page is very laid out and scripted, but we also have a rather tight budget..that curriculum is almost $900 a piece! No way!

R. G. It’s wonderful because we can take it easy when we need to and not feel like we are falling behind. We just stay in our schooling routine and we don’t have to get back into the groove after summer break. I have a video about taking an impromptu week off on my channel. I think it’s called what is going on this week?
