Oh also, for CLE, do you use/need the teacher manual? I was actually already considering using their kindergarten curriculum before I saw your video so this pushed me toward it even more 🎉 I just wasn’t sure if I’d need/want the teacher manual since the WB pages seemed pretty self explanatory.
I love this curriculum! Their family guide is the best I've ever seen. So many great components to Biblioplan. I highly recommend this as well. I really enjoy seeing years we haven't done yet. Thank you for sharing.
Hi!! Can I ask How much reading is in the Biblioplan book during the week? How many minutes do you spend reading each of the three days that is intended to be used? We are using The story of the world now, but wondering if the Biblioplan book would be a good fit for us. Thank you!
Is this heavily Christian? We are religious, but i know that some curriculums teach that Jesus is God and some teach that they are two separate beings.
What history does your family use? We are currently using story of the world but not sure if I want to keep it. I’ve only used it with my oldest who’s 8 and am open to something different!
We used Year 1 Ancients this year. I used Remember the Days with my 5th and 6th grades and Consider the Years with my 9th graders. I have Year 2 Medieval ready for next year. I wish they had the Consider the Years ready for Medieval. My 9th graders liked that format so much.
Thanks for sharing! I'm trying to figure out the appropriate level for my 2nd grader for reading. Is the textbook meant to be read independently by the student and the read alouds read by the teacher?
Is the is the first IEW writing course your 3rd grader has done? I can’t decide on IEW people and places Or IEW Bible heroes Or IEW 1A My daughter has never done a writing program. We plan to do fix it grammar. I keep going back and forth between brave writer and IEW someone 😅 help.
I use programs based on learning style. I never used AAR reading with my daughter who is currently using CLE. I have used it with my others or a combo.
Hi!! We are from Nicaragua! ❤ We are using The Story of the World 1 this year. Planning to use it along side Biblioplan 2 next year but wondering if books 3 and 4 are US History HEAVY. I don't mind my kids learn US History, I just don't want that as a History focus. As we learn also our History. Would really apreciate your guidance. Thank you for your videos!!
Before I had all the equipment I used a stock pot and I would put a pie pan in the bottom upside down with holes in it this with the pie pan on top would work great too
It is so encouraging to see you expecting #7 and still so motivated to plan. I appreciate the time and energy you put into your videos! They are always so straightforward. You are an awesome mom. I am sure there are tiree moments, days, and weeks, but WOW, are you showing up! Congratulations! Prayers for a smooth pregnancy, delivery, and transition home. We are having a relaxed summer. Also starting in July since it is just too hot to be outside anyway. Ha! We're expecting baby 4 in December!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing! Is there any way you’d be willing to do a follow up? How the progress has gone being more independent, silent reading, and does this affect spelling (if so how to help with that)? There’s not a huge amount of newer information people are sharing, willing to share, and we can all use as much help as we can get.
Oh my goodness Megan!!! ❤ How exciting! 😊 Congratulations!!! Was baby 7 a surprise? We are doing good! My baby is going to be one on Sunday! 😱 I can’t believe how fast this year has gone!
That’s awesome! We are expecting our baby #7 in November as well!! The fatigue has been terrible for me this pregnancy and trying to finish the school year this past spring was a struggle. The most difficult part of homeschooling for me is dealing with my 3-year-old twins and 18 month old toddler!
Definintely starting to plan our homeschool year. I only have one kid that is homeschooling this year so im making sure Im staying on plan because he will be a middle schooler. But I also run a fairly large co-op that is moving to a new day of the week so Im making sure I have all of that in order so I can focus on my homeschool and life at home once its time to start school back.
