Heidi, the only thing I'd add for those considering putting a line outside is, if you have the space, figure out which direction prevailing wind comes from and run your line perpendicular to that. My breezes are consistently from the southwest, so my line runs at a right angle, just like I'd do if I were sailing a boat.

I have bought the Zote grated flakes that were the same price as the bars that needed grating. I have dissolved your recipe of your multi purpose/ laundry cleaner in hot water with just a teaspoon or less of Dr. Bronners liquid soap so that I see some bubbles when I wash dishes & that also leaves a nice scent on my clothes & that bottle lasts sooooo long because of using so little

I bought these great clips after your last video where you spoke of them..I really like these new clips ,especially for hanging heavy items ,Thank you ,I was able to get 3 sets.I am working on a laundry set up ,so I can still wash and dry my clothes. I got 3 utility sinks ,I was able to get a really nice roller that will clamp between the two sinks , mine will be set up under my carport.with a cover when not in use.I have a folding table to set a laundry basket on.and i have a sturdy clothes hanger that has a clothes pin dress sewn onto the hanger..I will be watching the cleaning powder you showed..I still have to tackle making the homemade vinegar, the apple I tried ,I got mold in the fruit that floated, so will try again !! I have a hard time hanging my laundry out ,I live in a Foredt and am surrounded all around by oaks ,(and not the real pretty kind) and tons of pines!! We have so much pollen ,and seems to be almost year round! There is an dark orangeish film on everything ..I will need to get some flashing to direct water from rollers I believe.. ,on to ckeaning powder and vinegar videos!!

I have been mixing up my own laundry powder after watching your video with the recipe from sometime back. I just don’t seem to have enough room to store those heavy buckets of washing soda and it is way too costly to order less than a five gallon bucket at a time. I recently discovered some biodegradable washing sheets available through a company called Earth Breeze and even though this is my first order I will say so far I’m pleased with the product and it takes up much less room and I don’t have to mix up any ingredients. I don’t have tons of laundry so it’s been fairly economical so far as I can cut down the laundry sheets to any size that I need for my laundry. Thank you for letting me share!

Hi Heidi. I love the idea of no soap. I'm convinced we never get it all out of the clothes. A seamstress told my mother years ago to do at least two rinses but never mentioned the use of vinegar which has to help. My husband is concerned about effects of anything going down our drains and into the septic system. So the salt is his concern. This is what I found from googling: Website is bio (dash) sol (dot) ca/en/index "The main bone of contention is the extra sodium that is added to the water, which experts believe can result in problems in anaerobic digestion in the septic tanks as well as the hydraulic conductivity in the drain field. Hydraulic overloading is also a possibility due to backwash because septic systems are usually not designed with the intent of accommodating the extra water that comes from the regeneration of hard water. The extra salt in backwash might also lead to the deterioration of concrete septic tanks. Regenerated backwash and softened water increase the sodium chloride levels in the septic tanks. Increased salinity in the septic tank messes up the pH levels and this may kill the helpful bacteria in the tank." We do add a product to the system via toilet which helps take care of it. We're also looking at doing a grey water tank.

Yay, another great video! I started drying my clothes inside because there were so many "no see ums" (tiny, sliver-sized, and just acouple of millimeters in length) that would show up, it became a burden with the humidity in the air down here in GA. I have recently become an empty-nester, so now I can use that extra room for drying laundry purposes, until I come up with a better system, and give that room another use. As far as washing clothes, I purchased a washing board (like my grandparents used to have), and I absolutely love it. It brings back memories of my childhood in Europe, and gives me a little workout in the process...and who can't use a little workout? Blessings on you, Heidi, and your entire family!!!

I use your Multipurpose Cleaning Powder in my laundry and love it! I'm using up to 3 tbs, depending on the load, to get the scum out . I did put a few drops of peppermint EO in the wash when I laundered my curtains the other day, as well as the dog beds/blankets. I was skeptical, but wonderfully surprised at how clean it smells! As I work through everything that had that buildup on it, I only have to use 1 tbs afterwards. My washer tub is squeaky clean. I don't use vinegar or any softener because everything comes out soft enough. It's so wonderful to have bath towels that actually absorb water again! I look forward to using this powder in other areas. My husband actually had to use some of my baking soda stash for a clogged kitchen drain yesterday. Unfortunately, he had to use a chemical to get it done. Our place is very old. I'm hoping this powder will help with greasy dishes. I had switched to Palmolive, but told my husband I guess I'll have to go back to Dawn. Of course, being in the country on a septic tank, I never pour grease down my drain, but, it still can happen over time. If this powder can take away soap scum, I'm hopeful it will help my dish washing as well. As a side note, I ran across a dish soap recipe a few months ago that uses salt. The salt really thickens it! Like, mine was almost solid! I've almost used it up, and will not be making more! Even though it uses my Dr. Bronner's, that salt really dries my hands out. Anyway, thanks for yet another great video, Heidi. I'm always telling people to check out your channel. 🤗

But, I wanted to ask you why it turned out hard in my jar? I shook it well and when put it in a smaller jar it went hard, I need to brake a bit with a spoon to get it out. I didn’t put the essential oil as I put in when do the washing because I use different essential oil every time, so I just use it when do the washing . What have I done wrong?
