I am very passionate about playing bass, but confidence has always been a challenge for me. To overcome that, I focused for many years on the basics, the fundamentals if you will.
By starting at the source and really focusing on what my fingers were doing, I was able to shed the distractions and get to the root (pun) of what was making me unhappy about my tone.
It is always a work in progress and takes time to get your feel right on any instrument.
