experienced player here, good tips! unfortunately, the nature of the game is such you will often die to no fault of your own. the ttk of virtually every gun is less than the reaction speed of a human, and coupled with desync and vanishing footstep noise (thats a known bug), oftentimes there will only be a handful of frames, if any, between the enemy getting a line of sight on you and your death. unfortunately, i've noticed that the matches where I get the best kdr are ones where I indulge in shameless spawncamping of the losing enemy team. and it makes sense, too: if you lock a team in their spawn, you can always know where they will be coming from, and take advantageous positions overlooking their spawn points. (kind of like you did on that roof on desert storm in the first game). Spawncamping hardly ever feels good to me though. It's a cheap and unsatisfying playstyle to me, so i often avoid doing that. I think our playerbase would benefit substantially by embracing deaths as part of the fun chaotic nature of pf, and taking the game less seriously. not saying it doesn't help to reflect and analyze how you can improve though.
OH MY GOD THANK YOU for being like the one other person to notice this, its like such a bad issue cos guns that depend on good aim like snipers Lose their Edge because almost any gun is a laser that can land 5-6 bullets before even a sniper like the AWS can cycle a round, even faster than some DMRs. biggest culprit is the Kriss vector(kills in 3/60th of a second i.e. 3 frames) and the AK109 (ZERO vertical recoil and 5 shots to kill with a 850 RPM there is no downside to this gun) combined with a less known but detrimental feature that is Suppression, these guns become far superior to snipers even at long ranges due to the interference in the aim of the sniper. TLDR: time to kill and bullet suppression in automatic guns is the nerf that is required, not movement
I totally suport your opinon on the matter. As a sniper main, most guns kills so fast, that you have to hit a pintpoint shot with less than 250ms reaction time, which is insane... You can argue that positioning and gamesense is the key to sniping but sometimes it just feels so, so unfair. Even at long ranges guns in PF are frickin lasers with the right gun and setup, which discourages sniping even more. I think this encourage even more the bfg camping style of gameplay, which is boring to play against (and to play as personally). I do love sniping on this game, and the feeling of hitting a headshot at 200 studs on a moving targets with the steyr scout feels so good but even a very tiny nerf on automatic guns should be done. (Dont get me started on the suppression mechanic I HATE it, argh it's so annoying.)
the best way to stop dying is to hide from the enemy (but an actual one is to utilize the radar to find enemies, it can help you know if there's any enemies close to you, so you can plan your attack or escape if needed)
There are 3 type of player The one that camp at the back of the map with a BFG 50 the masochist one that stand tall and use a LMG to suppress the enemy The pro that is extremely fast and good gun setup
@@mononoob1134 you forgot about the only casual player that you find after 7 servers trying to have fun while going 3 and 17 because of the people you mentioned
Tips with metro specifically: the long hallways on either side of the topground are prime camping positions, pre aim there but also pre fire. Pre firing there is safe as you have time to reload and unless you miss your shots you normally will win the exchange. Also, don't manuever around the mid point where all the snipers can see you, strafe and go behind cover. Utilize the connecting points as much as possible. If you die to someone with a shotgun thats running around your spawn i would highly discourage engaging.
The UI was much better before forreal. Coming from a 2015 player and seeing this game completely different was kinda cool. But for many OGs its not the same anymore. For every last gun we shoot, someone is shooting their first one
People never realize that what impact kdr the most isn’t god like aim, but survivability You could easily win against a guy with god like game, but not 2, not if you don’t know how to dodge or escape
Lol, I use to suck really bad at the game + I used to farm cases and keys by afk deploying. I frequently get a kdr above 3.5 now :) Kdr isnt everything.
Connect to ethernet if your house is wired for it. If it's not, try to look into a power line adapter. You wont get astronomical speeds, but they'll be more than sufficient for pretty much everything, and the connection will be stable. You'll be seeing around 10-25 mbps depending on the quality of the wiring in ur house, and how old it is.
