Do you want to know how to get better at pool faster than those around you? Use these tips and tricks to quickly improve your game.
Know where the ball is going to go naturally and use this instead of English - understand the tangent line.
Set up a ball so the tangent line brings it to the next ball is easier than using spin
Learn to move the cue ball around without English (no left/right spin)
Yes, learning to not use spin when your friends all do use spin is the secret to beating them.
Holy crap you don’t need spin to make the ball go left.
Missing: 3rd tip.. Stun Shot
The secret of getting back to the center of the table. This is almost always a good option if you don’t know where to go. Center field drill!
Play more than once a week. Just playing league will keep you at the same level you are now
QUIT BEING LAZY! Chalk before every shot. Actually walk the table to see where to hit the next ball. Know where the next two balls are. If you change your mind while down, get UP. If whatever you took an hour ago suddenly turns on, get UP. If your phone buzzes, ya know what if anything happens other than getting down and shooting the shot you already mean to shoot, get up.

The tip about using the balls natural momentum is great. Too many players disregard where the cue ball will end up because they believe it's a complex process, involving spin. Funny enough, when I first started trying to get good at pool, I would often try to get the cue back to the middle of the table for my next shot.

Love your channel. Your tips are good but the balance point of the stick is not always where people want to have their back hand. Its dependant on the players height. Also, the thing about using a level cue has been disproven, its about tip to cueball contact and having a nice round tip. The other tips are great and your video editing is nice too. Keep it up brother!

Keeping the cue level is the best way not to make mistakes and it's never been disproved for what I know. Especially when champions of all around the world keep teaching it in their videos.

He hit it low, but that was the natural path for the ball to take at a shot from that angle.

Yeah, I need to comment also about the grip hand. I agree, hand swings straight down is correct, but your grip at the "balance" point is too far forward. You're already past the "straight down" arm angle even before you contact the cue ball. This has been addressed by the pros many times. Cue tip touching the cue ball, arm hangs straight down, hold the stick at that position. That way your swing through the stroke is like a pendulum. But seriously, I've seen guys shoot good pool who completely disregard all the fundamentals, so what ever works, go for it.

Feet in a straight line?!? Can’t become great without having feet in line??? Sorry, Ronnie O’Sullivan and nearly all snooker players would strongly disagree. I appreciate what you conveying but most instructors suggest about a 45° sidestep.

The hold it at the balance point is just outdated…

Many great advices. But the stance and the way to hold the cue may work for you but are really really not the optimal. Especially cue hold, the position on the grip varies on where your bridge hand is relatively to the cue ball. It is incredible you' re able to shoot straight the way you're doing it.

If your feet are in line your body is more likely to sway. Tripod stance is more solid. Step into your shot line and cue over that foot. Left foot out a bit to create a stable stance.
