Exactly! I've never used Craigslist myself but I tell by just hearing these kinds of stories alone that I wouldn't want to cause I think Craigslist is one of the most dangerous sites you can deal but it's the people that makes these sites like this so dangerous and their intentions.
These Craigslist horror stories are a chilling reminder to always stay cautious, whether you're buying or selling. Safety should never take a backseat to convenience!
😂😂😂😂 was watching your older videos then got notification of new video and quickly went to view lol -If anyone from craiglist want to meet you after 8pm... you know it no good...
I had one craigslist deal. And it was suspicious as hell. Guy wanted to get a t.v. that I was selling; but he wanted to meet at a gas station to test it out. I was like, "how are we going to test the t.v. out at a random gas station?" Never heard back from him. 🤣
Super red flag, if somebody is selling something and it's always in the garage or inside of the house in a room at the back, or in the dark basement, run!
2 was one of the most intense stories. That's why you need to think about the location, times and veracity of ads. And a good tip is to bring someone with you.
If I sold someone a iphone & they suddenly showed up at my house, and I hadn't told them where I lived.... I would NOT open my door to tell them to leave.. that's just stupid and insane!.. I would keep quiet, arm myself with a weapon and call the police. They're obviously not there to say hi and see how you're doing🙄... it's clear they followed you home to rob you or worse... why would you open the door fool?. sane normal people don't follow stranger's home. I don't think Craigslist is the problem.. I think it's people not using their brain is... none of these people had a lick of common sense or discernment..
Total ridiculousness.. buyer is buying a tv, sets up a time to meet a stranger at their house. 1st No No. NEVER EVER meet at their house or yours. He shows up, the tv is not in the living room. It's in a bedroom. So this idiot walks into the bedroom FIRST and the pretend seller close and locks the door from the outside.. so, didnt he think it was strange the seller didn't have the tv set up in the front room waiting for him?. He's never been to the apartment, why did he walk into the bedroom first instead of the seller?.. the only thing scary about these stories is the sheer stupidity of these people.
Wow I am so lucky to sell items without fear. I had good sales and only did it about a half dozen times. They were nice trustworthy people too! Story #3 sounds kind of far fetched but, it is possible.
@@carriecrackrock1221 yeah..being that said, I met a woman at my job to sell her my old bike. GOOD! I met another woman in a school parking lot for a stationary bike..GOOD! I met a man and his son "with my boyfriend" to sell him my truck...GOOD! I had 3 people show up at my house one to buy a device that draws designs..*i forgot the name now..* GOOD. A woman came to buy my treadmill at home..GOOD and 2 men bought a tool box which was attached to my older truck..GOOD. I am very lucky. I have nothing else to get rid of now :)
fr just be aware. and use common sense. i notice a pattern with these stories is that the ppl lack some of it. no hate just don't notice the signs. ex. story 2. "joyce" lets him GO first in the room is a red flag let alone going to a strangers house alone at night
A while back- I used c-list for dating! My husband (whom I met at a bar, not on c-list) successfully buys trucks and parts using FB marketplace all the time. You can actually verify they are legitimate people with their fb pages.
Oh, my goodness! You REALLY need to be smart about these kinds of things. Stories like these are evidence that you ALWAYS need to meet at a police station, or at the very least in a public place. Inviting strangers to your house or going to theirs doesn't often end well, period
No. No. NO. Story 5 sounds too much like a cartoon. If not for the ski masks, I'd expect the perpetrator(s) to have a top hat, cape, and a thin mustache to twirl. Bonus points for rubbing hands together while saying "I'm so evil!". When I used Craigslist casually to sell refurbished electronics and whatnot, the deal was daylight hours only in a shopping center with lots of ways in/out and of course plenty of witnesses. No exceptions. Worst thing would've been a no-show. People are either very indecisive or lazy as hell to follow through with such mundane tasks like meeting others.
I mean, to be fair, some large things like furniture would be very difficult to bring to a shopping center. But for selling things like a phone or car, there's really no excuse.
So the guy that was trapped in a room with a working phone. Didn't occur to call the police??? Are people just this stupid and then left the phone in the apartment...😂
So you didn't hear that he didn't have any service in that room? It was probably isolated for those kidnapping purposes so the victim not should be able to call. The window was tampered with as well so it couldn't be opened.
I've bought and sold off Craigslist without any problems (so far). I always meet in public and I ALWAYS carry a concealed .45 for safety. The way people in this world today have gone stupid, I will never meet anyone without my concealed. Be safe people, your life means more than a cheap deal.
Okay... about the advertisements on RU-vid. I have something to say to You Tube. I DON'T HAVE TO WATCH YOUR ADS!!! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO FORCE ADS IN MY FACE. AND I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT 15, 10, OR EVEN 5 SECONDS TO SKIP THE AD. I SHOULD NOT HAVE MY PROGRAM INTERRUPTED JUST SO YOU CAN GET MONEY FOR YOUR MEANINGLESSNESS ADS!!!!!!!
Story 1: Scary Story 2: Creepy and red flags Story 3: Creepy weird stalker lady Story 4: No you can't come over. We don't know you. Should have blocked the number and called the police as soon as the man said he was at their homes Story 5: Never should have gone and smart for driving away and spotting the police car
You know how I know this isn't true? It's because Craigslist died when Facebook marketplace came out and the only shit on Craigslist now is faux private listings made by businesses. There aren't very many real people on there anymore. The auto section in fact is almost entirely dealership listings.
