The story of the poor mom having to deal with that step dad was so heavy 😥. This woman just trying to raise her 12 yr old son & having to deal with the father that doesn't want to move on is infuriating!!! Hope that family can finally have some peace

Up till I was 13 my mom, little sister and I would constantly be on the run to keep away from my dad. He always had these evil streaks and would try to kill us all. I have some absolute horrible memories of that period. I feel for those boys. 😓

Exactly! this reminds me of a time I was the dollar store and this creepy cashier was explaining to me how a young lady refused to respond to his greetings. He proceeds to state that "I'm a nice guy and greet everyone that comes into the store". I get creepy vibes from the guy 😂

The abusive step-father story, I am so glad that OP's mom survived and that OP wasn't arrested as he had shot his psychotic step-father in self defence. I hope that the SD's family don't get their way, their son/brother/relative was a monster who got what he deserved. And the last story, it's interesting to hear a story from the stalker's point of view. It was creepy but interesting.

Wow, that violent Stepdad story hit home for me, for years we'd run from my dad who was also a violent alcoholic, many nights we'd had to run in the middle of the night leaving personal belongings behind. I too saw my poor mom beat to a bloody mess beyond recognition when I was a kid, thankfully she was finally able to get divorced and free of him, he made numerous attempts of getting us back only to fall back on his promises of "changing" for the better. Haven't spoken to him in 15 years after we got in a heated argument and I left him a bloodied beaten mess, haven't spoken to that motherfucker since and last I heard he's living alone and lost some toes to diabetes, karma is slowly getting his sorry excuse for a human. The day he dies will be one where no one will attend his funeral.

I agree, the story definitely makes a mockery of genuine victims, but it also highlights the very serious problem of women faking assault or harrassment because they know their more likely to be believed in todays world. She's a psychopath and hopefully gets locked away before she gets chance to ruin or potentially end anybody else's life.

I shouldn't really say this because it's such a personal thing. I have 3 autistic children, amd chronic fibromyalgia. This time last year I had a breakdown, and developed dissascoiation. My son suggested let's read as something to keep my mind off things. It worked, I listened all the time. Thank you let's read for helping me get through a very hard time. Story 3 made me cry like a baby. It brought back so much gruesom memories and the fate of the two brothers and her mother is so similar to that of me and my sister and mother. I know how it feels to witness your mother getting beaten until bones are broken and she's lying there unconscious, bloody and barely recognizable and you can do nothing but crying, because you're just a child. It's the most horrible thing you can imagine. And it leaves scars which will never heal. I really hope the three are doing well and are able to live in peace now and I wish them all the best.

The stalker POV story really hits home for me. I'm in my 20s and never had a gf. one of my greatest insecurities about pursuing women is that I'm gonna get rejected just bc I never had a relationship, just like it happened to this guy. That means that in other to be in a relationship I'd have to previously have been in one. The problem with that is that since I never had a relationship no1 will wanna have one with me now if that makes sense. I really tried when I was younger, I really did but it never happened. I'd love to find some1 but sadly I don't think its gonna happen. One of the worst part for me is constantly getting berated by my friends and family for being single. it's like they think I can just snap my fingers and materialize a gf when in reality no woman would go for me just bc I'm inexperienced.

If you were 40 and never dated anyone I’d find it concerning, but 20s is still young. I’m 29 and if I met a guy my age that I liked, I wouldn’t reject him purely because he was inexperienced. I’d probably want to know how come it hadn’t happened yet, but if it’s just something like social anxiety or lack of confidence I’d give him a chance if he was a good person. Hang in there.

I had such sympathy for the last guy until he proved to be the stalker 😬😅. I'm in the same boat that he was at the start of the story (getting older but haven't dated yet). If I went on a date with someone and he rejected me because I didn't have enough dating experience, I'd say good riddance. Bethany could have just said she didn't want anything serious, but she chose to go after his inexperience, which is a low blow and makes her seem a little conceited. However, I can't respect his actions and what happened to her and Corey was horrible. It's one of those cases of it wasn't meant to be, let it go.

The guy from the first story sounds like a dbag. Granted, the woman was wrong for making false accusations, but the way he talks about picking the hottest girls, being annoyed when they’ve been assaulted and aren’t ready to get down, not wanting to hear their POV but suffering thru it to clear his “good name.” Too many dbag vibes. Then he talks about the beautiful girl he matches with after her and says his life is spiraling out of control after he’s banned from tinder 😂. I know it’s not just tinder but the way he worded it was funny

I just want to say that there are nice guys out there. Like legitimately kind and caring men who would legit give you the shirt off their backs if you asked. My boyfriend, for instance, is a huge dork and one of the sweetest guys you could ever hope to meet. So don't let a few bad apples spoil your view of the world at large. I was always the victim from the stalkers that I had in my younger days...that last story...brought my mind to what my stalkers would've/could've been thinking. I'm amazed I have made it to 50 this year with my experiences on this rock. Back when I was younger, I had went out with a co worker after he kept on bugging me to. It was just a normal date with no physical intimacy. After the date I knew I wasn't interested in going out with him again, so when he asked I just told him I wasn't interested in him that way. He began stalking me and it culminated with him one night driving by my house and shooting a 410 shotgun at my house. The cops came and then our place of work was notified (a corrections facility, aka a prison. He was fired and a restraining order was made. Luckily I never had contact with him again and a few years later he shot himself.

Really? So, the dude who beat his wife in front of his son and stepson, I'm going to need his phone number. Better yet, an address would suffice. I just want to, uh offer him life ins-...I mean setup an IRA... I mean check out the warranty on his car, yeah, that's it. I just want to help him check to make sure his warranty is still valid... The last one was just sick and disturbing...what a twisted individual, but at least he did seem to know it somewhat. I just pray he is able to learn from and move on from it in a good way. Even he deserves happiness in life if he truly did learn from his disturbing behavior!

As a survivor of domestic violence I truly believe that if my boyfriend hadn’t died in jail for his assault against me, I truly believe he would have gotten out and came after me!!! 😢
