Waders for floods and sewage backups, Steel toe or better , full steel shank for cutting wood and steel work. I wear carbon fiber , better for electrical and lighter for all day walking.
That’s a good strategy. Same goes for anything, though: pants, shirts, etc. Anything can be appropriate or misappropriate depending on the environment. Like when I see guys wearing casual boots to a wedding or office, it just looks off.
1- work boots. Wedge sole, moc toe 2- work boots. Cheap ones for when the moc toes are at the cobbler 3- work boots that I keep in my car, just in case 4 - steel toes redback when its hot in the shop 5- cheap ass timberland 6"
The Chelsea can be swapped for a more interesting and stylish jodhpur. And either of the first ones for a nice engineer boot. I love the last point, fun to go wild and creative.
If you've got very long feet (US 13 or longer), anything with a plain toe box looks like a clown shoe. Chukka boots are off the table for homo-sausagefoot. You need some kind of toe cap or detailing to draw the eye, or you need to wear very dark shoes, as they look shorter. I have a pair of light coloured desert chukka boots that I can never wear in public 😅
My Personal 5 must have Boots: 1. Winter Boots (its cold where i live so i need something insulated) 2. Timbs (Everyone should wear a good pair of Timbs. Perfect to pull up on the Ops) 3. Chelsea Boots (Look neat, can be worn for house inspections, job interviews or a date) 4. Your Everyday Boot (Walking around the Garden, running erands, walk the dog, do a small hike to a sunset spot) 5. Work Boots (Some Redwings or Redbacks. Something you can wear cutting wood, carrying heavy sh*t and making dirty.)
I have Work boots i can work and hike in, trainers i can skate/ ride in, and flip flops. When they gets worn i repair them. If i can't repair them i replace them. There's no need for excess and i love and know everything i own.
Then you don't need this list. This is a fashion channel and clearly made for people that wear boots for fashion, and not because they need boots for work. Otherwise they wouldn't be watching this video.
Replace the the Chelsea with a suede or leather roper boots and add a pair of Western square toe for casual nights and some round tie for when you’re feeling dressy 🤠
I own 4 pairs of boots.....dirty work boots(for actual work), nice work boots(for meetings at a construction site), my black cayman boots and my custom boots(both for dress events).
Not being a hater but being blue collar and from Texas I have to disagree with most of this. The dressy and casual boots can be their own 2 classes but the others just seem redundant. As a working man you need work boots and other rough n tuff boots. Then after those 4 classes you can go for some fun wild cards.
Only pair of Chelsea boots I have are a white pair that I wear with my Stormtrooper armour, they're comfy but I'm not a big enough fan of them to get a regular pair to wear. I love my tan desert boots and my dark brown suede derby boots though.
In what world does anyone own 5 pairs of boots. I spent 10 years in the military. Wearing boots was mandatory. Only ever had 2 pairs. One for hot and one for cold. This is the bougiest sheeit I've heard all day.
Those are all nice. I'm not gonna lie. I'd rock all of them. However you gotta have a pair of work boots my guy. Get some steel in that boot. For when you need to get down and dirty. I have a pair of Wolverine boots. They serve me well when I need 'em.
I’m sorry you’re wrong! You should have steel toed work boots with Internal met guard. Perhaps some hiking boots, or some sort of tactical boots maybe. Probably a good pair of soft toe work boos. Your 5 are for Office working soy boys. Not worn by men that build this country
By this comment alone, I can deduce a few things about you: 1 - you've never been great with women 2 - you'll never be wealthy 3 - you drive a pickup truck but rarely it for hauling/towing 4 - you're secretly deeply insecure How'd I do? 3 out of 4 at least??
You're wearing the wrong boots, my jim green tire sole razorbacks get compliments from women literally every time i wear them, there's something about them that the ladies really like.
As a machinsit and now millwright/farmer when someone says boot list i assume to actually use not just as a fasion statement. Seeing as this list is more toward dress up. At least educate the audience and explain what different styled boots are actually used for and maybe a simple pro/con of each. Like the moc toe boots you showed they have more or less the softest soles your gonna get in a boot and due to the wedge shape of them they are great for arch support and over all traction regardless of enviroment besides mud. Etc etc.
@BrockMcGoff oh man. I gotcha. Well enjoy your walking/standing boots. Don't take any constructive criticism and actually educate your viewers and keep misenforming them as to why you should wear them when. Oh other than cause they look cute with your outfit of course. Have a good day.
@@mwim1226go watch the long version of this video if you want depth and nuance. You won’t find that in shorts (obviously). Re: looking cute, you sound incredibly insecure/fragile.
@BrockMcGoff could have just led off with that. Stating you have a longer video going more into depth, but instead, you decided to state walking in them was usuing them, but I don't need to watch your longer video. Your short was more than enough to explain the type of videos you produce, and I am not interested. As with insecure. What would I even be remotely insecure about? I asked for more education towards foot ware on your video, not talking about boots with outfits. I'm more than comfortable with myself and have no need for your opinions towards me or anyone else besides my wife. But again thanks bud, have a wonderful day.
@@mwim1226by choosing to watch my video, you solicited my advice. If you don’t want advice about men’s boots and fashion, stop watching videos about men’s boots and fashion. Thx for the views and engagement though, it helps my channel 🙏
You can tell this guy is not a trump fan cause the economy is going great since every guy can afford 5 pairs of boots. By the way, there are plenty of mock-toe work boots, there not necessarily casual.
@BrockMcGoff if referring to me, actually I do not usually. I just thought it's funny how everyone is saying how bad the economy is but yet every guy should own 5 pairs of boots when everyone else is talking about not being able to afford McDonald's. Sorry if I struck a nerve.
@@williamfrye552 no apology needed, but you're wrong about consumer spending power. Americans had more money (about 10% more) in Jan 2024 than in Jan 2017 (under Trump), even after adjusting for inflation and taxes. Stop watching the news, my friend 😉
@BrockMcGoff actually I was not wrong because I did not say the economy is bad. I said that is what everyone is saying. I know the economy is better now then it was under trump. I am by no means a trump fan.
