One of my most important content creation rules is that I only share care advice on houseplants I've owned for at least two years, drawing from real-life experiences to help you with your own plants.
Today's video is not a care guide. Over the past year, I've had the pleasure of welcoming many new plants into my home. I've hand picked five that have shown promising growth and unique characteristics that are worth looking out for.
Do you agree with my picks? Own any of them already? Share your experiences! #alwayslearning

Hi there! I love the byou-plur-foly-ah... I love all Euphorbias actually and I have two pineapples. I think they are male and female (like E. Obesa), so they bloom tons of blooms in summer and 'mate' and the seed pods ripen and 'explode' so I have produced dozens of baby plants to give away. Loves lots of sun and high humidity. Beware of mealybugs because they are attracted to them outside. Just started an Australian Tree Fern myself so wish me luck!

Thank you very much for the tips and advice! I think it's such a cute plant. I wonder if it will flower for me next year. I'm already excited now lol. Good luck with your Tree Fern!

I like the euphorbia that resembles a pineapple but discovered they are quite toxic for pets, so I must admire it solely on screen.

Yes, they're pretty small (even when semi mature) and could look like a tasty treat for a curious pet! Always better to be safe than sorry is my moto with plants and pets. Toxicity wise, there are a lot worse plants out there, but with Euphorbias the real problem is the sap and if it gets in your eyes (or your pets). Here is a study with photos of what can happen - Not for the squeamish (although all three people made full recoveries) - www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2712704/
