Hey guys, I haven't done too much with the Tesla recently...don't worry, it's still here! There's so much tech going on with the 2017 Tesla Model S but in this video I thought I'd show you 5 useful features (some obvious, some not so much!) on the Tesla.
To save everybody time, the 5 features are 1) Auto Present door handles 2) Creep/Hold Assist(are actually 2 different things) 3) screen clean mode 4) center screen reboot and 5) Tesla app Summon.
Hello Zubair, just wanted to congratulate you on a nice video. I particularly liked how you showed the 'creep' function using cameras on the outside and inside of the car. It was great to see it turn on, steer, access reversing clearance and turn off. Good technique.
Thanks for the tips. I'm trying to absorb as much info as I can while I wait for my new Tesla to be built (anything to distract me from the agonizing wait, ha ha). I didn't know about the manual brake hold feature - don't remember reading that in the manual. It would have been interesting to see if the car would have stopped if you kept standing behind it during summon. I'm looking forward to when the autonomy software advances enough so that you can summon it from further distances (like have it pick you up at the entrance to the restaurant all the way from the parking spot like your own personal valet). How cool would that be...especially in the rain. :)
+Brain Candy TV you're welcome! Yes that's the downside with summon, it actually took me a few attempts because you do need to stand very close for it to work currently
That will be called "Smart Summon" as you probably know by now, Brain Candy. It won't be available until self driving cars are legal, unfortnately, so it will probably be awhile which is why the probably convinced you to not even order the self driving for $3k when you ordered. I will wait too, until it's available and get the software download for $4k whenever (if ever,) it becomes available.
Even for someone that doesn't own a Tesla, but wishes they could afford one, this is a very informative video. (and it makes me want to get a Tesla... if I was able to afford to get one... that is...)
Helpful hints. Thanks! I just got a S 75d and loving it. One thing to mention is that when my screen locked out recently the car did drive ok, but the air conditioner did not work... it's pretty hot in this part of USA. After I called Tesla Cust Care, I was on my way after what I call the "cntrl-alt-del" method.
wait until you see what "SMART Summon" can do! (you can walk out of a restaurant, for instance, and the car will leave its parking space and come find you. That will not happen though, until the self-driving hardware is downloaded once it becomes legal.
If I'm aligning the car to park in a tight spot. Does it stear itslef when I drive it backwards into the gap with the app if I didn't align it perfectly?

The first feature is on lots on 2017 luxury cars such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and some Mercedes except u put ur hand in the door handle before pulling it and it will open the car

Zubair Hoque that’s what i was thinking although A LOT of people think it is too late because race car drivers start at a very young age and they become pros in their teenage years.
The only car i know that doesnt crep with automatic is our Firefighter truck. thats because if you are in hurry and forget to got into park that the truck dont hit anything
AND you do not use a key to start the car NOR do you push a button. You simply get in the car and put your foot on the brake and put it in gear and go. Smooothhhh!!!
Buying is not a problem. You pay the money, and pay a for its shipping and you get the car delivered to India. The main problem is the very high customs duty in your corrupt country. The customs duty and the bribes that will need to be paid to custom clear the car and then register in India will cost more than the car itself.
