#invincible #omniman #shorts Viltrumites are nearly indestructible, it's nearly impossible to kill them but they aren't quite invincible. Here are the few ways to defeat a Viltrumite.
"Do they burn" "oh yeah it just needs to be like super hot" "how hot?" "uhhhh as hot as the sun" "....." "And we need to hold them there for a few minutes"
Technically it's just the surface of the sun which burns at 10k degrees fahrenheit, a regular lightning strike is 5x that. I'm not saying it'd be easy... but it's not impossible either.
@@conscripthornet4430 yes but the average duration of a lightning flash is 0.2 seconds, made up from a number of much shorter flashes (strokes) of around 60 to 70 microseconds. Sometimes even humans survive that, so that isn't an option.
@@AntTornado I was saying it as an example of how even something as common as lightning strikes are hotter than the surface of the sun, we made bombs capable of being hotter than the CORE (unbelievably hotter than just the surface) of the sun in the 1950s, if it really came down to it we could definitely adapt a weapon capable of being 10000 degrees for 2 minutes. Obviously there would’ve been a plot reason as to why a nuclear bomb wouldn’t vaporize a viltrumite in an instant but from a more realistic point of view it should be enough already, the only problem would be getting one near a viltrumite that doesn’t just leave the atmosphere within microseconds.
The real weaknesses: Ragnars Allen Battle beast Another viltrumine The scourge virus The infinity ray The heat of a star A specific frequency that messes with their equilibrium
Yeah, it's ironically fairly common among Superman expies. Omni-Man, Homelander, and Goku all immediately spring to mind, though more explicit pastiches like Hyperion seem to retain his immunity to solar radiation even if the exact source of their powers is a bit different.
@RabblesTheBinx Goku is not a Super Man expy. He did escape from a dying planet, but 1) that info was only revealed like a third into the original run 2) it was originally that he was sent to _conquer_ Earth. It wasn't infuriatingly retconned to be more Superman like until quite recently. 3) He started out more as a Son Wukong expy. Not everyone who is super strong is based on Superman
@@RabblesTheBinxaren't there certain color stars that _would_ weaken and kill them? Maybe not melt, but I remember that Earth's star color is especially good
Not exactly kill them, The Red Sun just doesn't provide the necessary energy needed for a kryptonian to charge up.. The more energy they absorb their cellular structure hardens and becomes more rigid making them invulnerable ( Like a Blue Star would make them Super Charge) a yellow one can also make them super charge if they absorb the energy for a certain period of time ( Example would be Superman One Million) @@NickyYey so under a red sun their power just starts to degrade but they still live longer than humans.... ( example the Kryptonian Council had members who were older than 1k years...).... Not all kryptonians are like Superman though coz Natural borns are better than genetically engineered ones ( they have a better absorption rate of energy so they also have a longer lifespan)
@@enderguardian7443 Ah, a fellow connoisseur of proper culture. Yes, it does, however you see mustaches give people power- that’s why only Viltrumite’s males have them. The strongest Viltrumite male would be crushed by the average Australian female.
Let’s not forget a slowed perception of time. I think one of the major reasons Omniman broke emotionally is because he wasn’t ready for how much slower time moves on earth in comparison to Viltrum which collectively has a much faster perception of time. We as humans take in the little moments, a Viltrumite learning to take in those little moments too makes them more susceptible to the collective empathy we as humans experience. We see Omniman try to cope with that by constantly bringing up how insignificant the 20 or so years he spent on earth were during his fight with Mark.
Ok so the gravity thing to me makes no sense , they can move freely through 3 dimensional space and normally not be acted on by other forces , if gravity of earth or similar planets doesn’t affect them why would higher gravity
@@Truckguy6969 flying through space is different than flying against a gravitational pull. Their flight can only handle so much weight. Kinda like how Homelander couldnt lift a falling plane. He has the strength to lift the plane but his flight power isnt strong enough to use his full strength and he'd need ground underneath him.
Eh, Supes is weak to the most common "rare" crystal in the universe. I mean, I'm pretty sure that if you are in a Superman comic and you kick a rock, you'll find kryptonite.
@@derekl.2902 you really got me there. Good one. Stating that a fictional character is smarter than me, that’s a burn. You know what buddy, Batman is a lot smarter than you are!
Actually, common misconception with the Frequency thing. Apparently what they're weak to is a very specific frequency of sound, not just very high frequency Didn't know that myself until I saw a video pointing it out
In both show and comics we see that Viltrumites go to sleep and considering that this state is induced by releasing specific hormones in the blood, I'm pretty sure some drugs have effect on them Moreover if we combine this with the fact they can survive for a limited time without oxygen we can kill them in a simple laboratory with a little cost
Also an obscure one: exhaustion. Though viltrumites have intense stamina and endurance it is not infinite, they will eventually grow tired and pass out at which point you can trap one. This is how they were able to defeat evil mark in one of the alternate earth universes. They simply kept throwing heroes at him until he was just too tired to fight anymore.
@@Pip3603are you thinking of Lobo? Battle beast didn’t kill his people, he’s actually a legend to them and when he dies his daughter takes up his fight/curse.
Also, he only lost to thragg because he was obsessed with honour and it being a fair fight so he intentionally injured himself when thragg was injured by a rognarr I believe
@@RabblesTheBinx eh i'd recommend giving it a read its one of the best comic series i've ever read. that being said like the upper half of superman's expecially the absolute highests would absolutely body all of viltrimites, but superman when he's written normally and no "suped up" super man, would probably find most equal to zod etc. peak mark grayson by the end of the series as an experienced adult would absolutely destroy any superman thats not the ones that can move at the speed of light, as he's meant to be analagous/identical in terms of feats by that point, just in terms of that being who his charecter has really become. but thats like saying a peak superman could body a teenage clark kent in terms of development and not indicative. viltrimites are overall weaker/have more weaknesses, but there definitely all planet killer level, being able to rip through planets solo, or with groups of them to speed it up.
Superman is also a ridiculous character. Insanely boring with no depth other than being good for goodness sakes and having 3000 different written versions of him that seem to be written by children
@@jessilynallendilla5014 Alternatively, they just found the boring stories of Superman, those where the writter was more focused on showing how powerful Superman is, and just that, instead of what really makes him interesting, like his humanity. If that's really the case, then I agree with them, in those stories Superman TENDS to be boring and shallow.
Bro if they have to use a team of the BEST super heroes on the planet, or a monster drugged with all kinds of steroids and shit with the pain center cut off, just to make ONE viltrumite struggle then they cat rlly put up a good fight💀
@@nicoanonSPOILERS in the comics like 16 (I forgot the exexact number) evil versions of invincible attack earth, even though invincible isn't even near being the strongest viltrumite but the entirety of all GDA superheroes could only kill like 4 of invincible (again not exact numbers)
@mryellow6918 the temp of a star can range from 2000 Kelvin to 100000 Kelvin. I took an average of abt 50000 Kelvin and converted that to Fahrenheit which comes out to be abt just under 90000 degrees Fahrenheit. That's pretty damn hot
@mryellow6918 you are right I took the median not the average. However, your comment abt it not even being that hot is disingenuous to begin with. Those Temps will kill most (if not all) living things on earth almost instantly. Yes the surface won't melt tungsten, but we aren't worried abt metals here, we are worried about survival time on extreme heat for living beings. There is no reason to be a dick
They never were 😂 the average kryptonian can fight Doomsday seconds after receiving sunlight and with two other average kryptonians working together they knocked him out.
In the show the high frequency sound is going to come from the monster he fought under water in ep2 season 2 which makes sense because viltrumites ears are designed for flying not for underwater
Wasn't at least one of the Viltrumites, who attacked Mark and Nolan, killed by slicing open the gut with a rock? That means they can be killed wirh a rigid enough object when enough force is applied.
I mean yes, but also, it was wielded by Omniman - a vultrumite. It's not like the rock would have done anything if it had been in the hands of someone weaker, so it really falls under category 1.
1) he lived 2) it's only cause he was being attacked by a stronger viltimite. The rock itself isn't what cut him so much as the sheer force and speed of nolan swinging it. Imagine it like how water becomes a hard surface when struck at high velocity. In this case, the rock is the water and rather than falling, it's being swung like a bat.
Bruh you feel for that high-frequency bullshit. It's a certain specific frequency, not just some any loud frequency It disrupts their equilibrium, and their equilibrium is their weakness
1- the most specific frequency hurts their ears 2- Ragnars 3- Scourge virus 4- Smashing their ears really hard 5- space racer 6- Allen 7- heavier gravity 8- emotions (like companion which is what Kredd and Omni-man have)) 9- battle beast 10- the full power/ heat of a star
11. internal explosions. SPOILERS in the comics, Robot was able to kill an alternate version of invincible with an explosion inplanted inside him since Viltrumite guts arent that durable compared to their exterior.
The star part doesn’t really count since Mark fought Thragg IN THE FKN SUN! Let that sink in, sure they were burnt to crisps but they were swimming IN THE SUN!!
Not the surface of a star, only the core of a star can threat them, Mark was fighting long in the core of a star. Surface temperature of our Sun is only like 5500 Celsius, which is fodder level compared to what they are capable of. So millions of Celsius can kill them.
“Are there any ways to defeat a viltrumite other than with another viltrumite? Yes, but only a few. 1) Equal Force: Any other creature that is equally as strong as a viltrumite.” Jesus. This is what passes for content nowadays?
High frequency. No. While it s true the frequency is high it is in fact a very specific frequency. It took cecil years to find it and finally weaponize it.
Plenty of weaknesses. The downfall of most super hero shows is when they start getting technical with biology and technology. Poisonous gas, radiation, frequency etc. Just take a second to think how easily all super humans ca. Be taken down with primitive technology and then start inventing bs for a scifi show
In both show and comics we see that Viltrumites go to sleep and considering that this state is induced by releasing specific hormones in the blood, I'm pretty sure some drugs have effect on them
@@RabblesTheBinx Man, Superman lives in a self-commemorative world. On the other hand Viltrumites can faint and they can even fall asleep when they are very tired
An economic way to kill even dozens of Viltrumites could be tranquilizing them and then put them inside a room with no windows and no openings, except for some used for additional sleeping gas In the comics it's stated they can’t breathe with no oxygen but they can simply hold their breath. In a certain sense they are like people who live for thousands of years. So they can hold it for a long time but nothing is eternal
Can I just point out how ludicrous it is that they can survive on the surface of a star for a few SECONDS. Literally, any creature in our reality would be sublimated before reaching its lower atmosphere. 😳 That's not what I would call a weakness.
I'm sorry did you say that I would need to keep the viltrumite trapped on the surface of a star for a couple of minutes? What kind of OP stuff is that 😅?
I bet finger nails on weathered sheet metal or chalk board will perm damage the soul leaving a very minor debuff. But this also effects everyone in the vicinity of the noise.
It's not actually just high frequencies but an extremely specific one that stuns/kills them. That's why it was so difficult to find for Cecil and Robot. They couldn't just blast away the highest possible frequency
Honestly the ear thing is probably the most well thought out superhero weakness ever thought out. Your ears deal with your balance and so disorienting them can make them unable to properly fly.
