Now days tow truck has cameras on the side and the drive threw and the camera scans the license plate so park backed in if you have rear wheel drive take front plate off
This only works if you actually have a bank loan on your vehicle. If it came from a buy here pay here dealership it is going to have a GPS tracker, and there is no hiding.
The best way to repo proof is to know a older gentleman who owns a car lift who doesnt take bribes I used this to my advantage first step before lifting the car take your license plates off secondly take the wheels off and chuck them inside the car then lift the car into the air and be sure the lift is locked otherwise the car can or will fall and probably total it once you ensure the locks are on close the garage and call a friend to come get you I did this before because my work screwed up on my paycheck and while the repo man found it he couldn’t do squat about it
Bridgecrest is a rip off it they finance you. They jack up the car price by $7,000 with out even telling you. You can't refinance because the other banks say you owe way more than what the car is worth
The problem is, the moment someone is getting close to becoming delinquent , they put a notice out to all dmvs , so when you try to change it they take it right there, or again the Vin number is etched on your car and again on the computer system. They can scan that as well. best bet is to file bankruptcy as soon as possible. All the above methods used to work but technology has made it difficult today
Worst advise ever. - Paint your car a different color? That'll cost more than a car payment....and probably look like crap. - Block it in with another car? They'll drag other cars out of the way - Trade it with a relative that lives far away? Many new and used cars get a cheap GPS like an AVAS unit that allows ignition block. All that will do is leave your relative stranded. - Front wheel or rear wheel drive doesn't matter. They'll drag it down the street and around the corner to a place where they can dolly it. The bank doesn't want your car, work out a deal to catch up on your payments and stick to it. You signed a contract, keep your word.
Bro they can not move anybody else vehicles to tow away a repo the. If they damage somebody else car in the process they can be sued or now a days they might hit end up getting shot at man that’s wild 😂 move people cars out the way to get to a repo is madness lol
I know a guy The pond is title. He didn't make the payments. So he moved it 2 states over And they're actively looking for the truck now. Could he go to jail for that
I have older car and truck both are paid off people try live beyond their means you never know what could happen this time last year I thought I was fine April of 2024 found out I have stage 4 prostate cancer
Theu installed a low jack GPS on my car. I can even trace the car on my cellphone. Do you know how I can get rid of the low jack GPS? IVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR IT. THANKS
Repo guys have tag readers for when people are just driving. They could spot you at a red light. Also repo guys always check storage yards. They enter tags in a repo data base.
@@bosco411 My thought though is there has to be a national database--What is it? Otherwise, could just get your RV a license in another state...bank wouldn't be notified; they'd have to get a 3rd party update all 50 states every month just to find your RV. Plus, that bank would then have to update that VIN + License into a repoman's database for a tag reader to trigger. Follow?--I want to know what that database is that the repoman uses to "verify"/confirm the license (& vehicle description) is actually due for repo.--Knowing how that database works & when it is updated is really all you need to know.--(That database may not be able to list 2 licenses at the same time for a vehicle)
@@bosco411 Do you know the name of the database; or the service that provides access? I can see how the banks may have a link to the DMV, but don't see how that information gets to a repo-man's laptop...seems like there must be a 3rd party in between, but I can't find it.
Never I heard if you file a chapter 7 you have to surrender over the car or they will eventually come repo it and a chapter 13 they still can repo it because they want the money still and you end up paying the lawyer way more in the long run because he is o. Your case for 5 years that is Not True bankruptcy dont protect to keep your car and not pay 7 or 13 if you don’t pay your car will def get repo a friend of mine this happen to in Florida and somebody else I know in Texas
Good question can they tow you if you parked over the curb like one those concrete stops make sure you don’t hit car in parked on there other side or to close to building, or f you parked over it there not able to get there lift or go jacks under right?
Ok, most cars today built after 1999 have a tracking system or chip in the computer that they can track if they really want to get it. What you are talking about used to work...I remember those days. You will have to disable the chip first on todays cars.
HA! This is funny, reminds me of a repo from last year. Guy owed me for months, hadn't paid, wasn't answering calls or mail, and he was hiding the car pretty good. Couldn't get to it at his residence, plus his work had a secured lot. It's a manufacturing plant for tires. Anyways, my go-to guy tried for months, couldn't get it. I tried another guy, nada. So I try a third guy. Guy #3 asks if I have a similar model car on my lot, which i did not. So he takes me to a competitor's car lot, we look at a similar car, and he showed me how to quickly find and pinch the fuel line with some special pliers. It wouldn't damage the fuel line, but it would choke off the fuel and keep the car from starting. I had to dress in my Sunday best, and ask the security guard for permission to walk in and drop off my resume as if I was applying for a job. While I was in there, I pinched the fuel line on the guy's car. That same evening, guy #3 had the car. He apparently ripped a 50 dollar bill in half, gave one half to the security guard and told him, "I'm starting a new towing service, if you know anyone who needs a tow, and they call me, I'll give you the other half to that 50". So debtor gets off work, and his car wouldn't start, and wouldn't you know it... the security guard saw it as an opportunity to cash in on that 50. Guy #3 came, picked up the car, told the debtor to call a taxi because insurance regulations prohibit anyone from riding with him. That left guy #3 alone with the car. That was all she wrote.
So you're admitting to a Tort of trespassing to chattel? You're lucky the debtor didn't realize that, otherwise a decent Civil Attorney would have taken you to the bank.
No. Car repossession applies only to the 50 states plus Puerto Rico. United States law does not apply in other countries, so the contract is not valid. Therefore, they cannot legally repossess your car if it’s in Mexico. I bear witness. They also can’t repossess it if you’re within the borders of an American Indian reservation, unless the tribal government allows it. But, if you take it back into the United states and they end up finding it, they can repo it of course.
Sounds like this repo guys making everyone’s life hard..I mean there are jobs and then there are jobs…find a better profession than exploiting people who literally need a way of transportation to pay for the soul you just took. I mean, let’s be real. I’m surprised most tow truck drivers are still okay and not like prisoners of war ✨✨ good thing most people exhibit better demonstrative character than tow truck drivers ✨✨ I could be a tow truck driver but to me they’re like scabs just traitors for the system with a just cause like “feeding your family” when you’re literally aiding in taking from others and there are other ways to feed your family also I don’t want to hear that “they ( the towed) got themselves into this” bs…I didn’t ask for my rent to go up or groceries hell I didn’t ask to even be here but at least we have people supporting the decision to make life as hard as possible 🎉
The bank you owe can actually get court paperwork for the repo guy to order to have you open the garbage to get the car out I seen in a video on another repo that was wild
@@DeathhAngel1 Thanks so much, they just happen to repo it last week lmao. But it’s ok. I just happen to make more money than I’ve ever made at my new job. I may buy cash this time.
@@bosco411 well to locate any vehicle that the finance company wants to find to prevent the hastle of a repleven.. a tracker itself has to be installed in the ECU unit to recieve the GPS data from the ECU. If a car can be tracked there will always be a way it can be untracked.
your gonna spend 3k on a paint job yet you wont make the payment, brilliant friggen plan!........ how about call the damn bank before you go late and get your payment deffered to back end of the loan, JC people will spend more energy and time doing the wrong thing vs making 1 simple phone call newer cars have GPS and you really think a repo guy hasnt seen everything under the sun
If finance companies didn’t scam people by allowing them to buy cars that they can’t afford, in a perfect world, there would be no repo man. They wouldn’t exist.
@@bosco411 that’s not true it’s against policy and against the law no one is allowed to come on private property and moved your vehicle 🚗 now the car u didn’t pay isn’t yours
They have cameras that check plates. Leaving it down the road isnt going to help you have to have it behind a gate or garage. The repo man cant tresspass onto your property peer into the windows
You did that pretty well. Sometimes I thought you were serious about it. For anyone who did watch this for serious tips to protect yourself from the repoman, MAKE THE DAMN CAR PAYMENT!!! If you don't, then yes, I'm for the repoman because you're basically a thief.
@@apostolicashley7444 Sorry if that happened but do you get to walk out of grocery store with a cart full of food and say that? No, you have to pay for them. Same with a car.
@@BloodyHeckgroceries aren’t severely overpriced and then subsequently financed at ridiculously unfair interest rates which consumers can’t opt out of (because most need a reliable vehicle for work)
I own a buy here pay here car lot and had to chase my vehicles down all the time and wondered how you if if someone basically stole your vehicle. I have to buy the vehicle get it transported to my lot make repairs make sure it passes inspection and is safe. So a loser can steal it or destroy it or most importantly cancel the insurance and wreck it and cause damage to other peoples property. But here’s the game changer wireless gps smaller than a key fob the batteries last 7 years but think what you are teaching people when I repo a vehicle I have to pay a repo fee and cut new keys get it fixed and then cleaned up to sell it again. So think about what you are teaching dead beats how to steal.
I was behind 2 payments because i lost my job a year ago, i had the car parked at a relatives for 2 months and they didnt find it, i didn't drive it at all for those 2 months though other then switching parking spots. Caught up on my payments and was finally free of the nightly anxiety .
The real criminals are the banks. You’re too blind and brainwashed to see it, so you instead think the real victims are the criminals and the real criminals (the greedy capitalist banks) are the victims.
This is bad advice. Whoever listens to this. Running from your debt is never the solution. I don't care what anybody comments to this. Running from your debt is simply just not the solution. You signed a contract. You agreed that you were going to make your regular payments. Situations stopped your flow of income to accommodate. You have to work with your creditor. If your creditor chooses not to work with you. Call lawyer. Let your lawyer convince you that you have to just give the car up. The repo is going to happen after you can't make the payment anymore or later and then The debt will only just increase. If you can't afford it anymore, give it up. Running from your debts will only make it worse.
Repo man here I’ll get out and check the vin on every vehicle no mater your plate so keep that in mind I’m top dog in my company I get the most cars because I’m not lazy I got a nice BMW deep in gated underground parking with plates changed LOL the vehicle owner was shocked LOL still laughing
Not if I cover up and hide the Vin number you won't. You're also pretty crazy risking your own life for someone else's property. If a stranger shows up on my property in the middle of the night, rest assured I ask questions later, if you're even able to answer them. :) 😀 😃
That’s crazy reading all these comments is hilarious but the repo definitely take that job serious lmao they risk their lives going on people property to repo a car checking all kinda vehicles moving other cars on the property to repo another smh wow I’m not risking my life for shit life happen people still got other real bills the banks need to chill I’m sure they will get paid or some banks I heard have been getting paid they are just not satisfied with getting half payments or partials every month they want the entire 6/700 car payment lmao some people pay way too high for these car I watch and see get repo it’s crazy banks charging 800 for a car note wtf and want it every month lmao they know life gonna happen and people Not gonna have that every month lmao well repo is the option these banks be screwing people
@@billthebutcher6873 LOL I’ll keep laughing with your car on the hook keep sweating like the thief you are and your not to smart if you can’t pay your bills so getting your car will be easy as others maybe easier after this conversation LOL 😂
