Your channel is so underrated. I consistently get much more actionable advice from your videos than most the big name productivity youtubers. Having occasional Life Admin Days has been lie changing. Hoping your rightfully deserved and long overdue 1M subs comes soon!
let's get her subscriptions up to 600k by valentine's day leave comments on other people's comments also even liking other people's comments (if you like them!) helps the engagement algorithm
I have been doing a variation on the random list for a while, though for mine I use a 20 sided dice (of D&D fame) and I list my 20 tasks (somehow I rarely struggle to find 20 but sometimes I will say multiple numbers are all one task item in order to condense the number I need to list) roughly from most annoying to most enjoyable, with rolling a 20 always being a free hour. Rolling a low number sucks and usually means I need to do something I dread lol but it also gives me a chance that I roll a 20 and can do whatever I want for an hour guilt free. Its a little game.
The free time not being used for obligations and shoulds is such an important idea and something i am not good at. I am consistently in burn out mode because i dont feel like free time is as important as productivity. Thank you for the insight and this video js invaluable!
I love the random number generator one is so good for when you’re doing annoying house stuff and it’s boring like taking out the bins or moping the floor.
Oh wow, one of your methods, interstitial journaling, is something I’ve been doing in my bullet journal each day - helps with the mental load, and I feel accomplished when I’ve worked through a task or two to their completion with all the interruptions and distractions through my days. Also, it reminds me where I’ve stopped and where I need to continue from with reminders to myself. Cool to put a name to it😊
Woah this are all so unique and cool! I’ve heard an idea lately where you should follow motivation instead of decipline and I’ve been loving that strategy! Following my mood and how motivated I am means I can work on what I want to when I want to and I have a way better time doing them
1) love how bright your space is!! 2) I loooove that you’re accounting for the fact that we aren’t exactly the same person every day…we should be considering what works best for us fluidly bc we are fluid. Love it!
This is so helpful! I’ve never thought to schedule free time to do what I want but I’m definitely going to do this moving forward. Thanks for a great video!
About the Neil Fiore book, if I remember correctly there was a rule about not working more than 20 hours a week at the beginning, and only putting down in the agenda the 30 minute chunks of work we had actually done, once they were done, whatever the start time was! This way instead of seeing the amount of work we didn’t do (or won’t be able to do) we saw our achievements. That’s what I gathered at least!
Thanks thanks thanks, I learned so much from this short clip. A woman in my prayergroup encouraged me to plan my week, and I like 😲 Plan??? Now i know how to get started. Thanks ❤
How do you plan, when you cant even focus on writing a to do list for the day, when you feel so sluggish and low in energy that even that first step is a major struggle for you. Thats how I feel most days. I am 52 years old, going through menopause, adrenal fatigue.
I've watched a lot of productivity videos but this is the first time I'm hearing of Interstitial Journaling and it sounds like a great idea that might actually work well! I always find time blocking way too rigid and scary for my adhd brain, and it just makes me feel guilty for not completing whatever I needed to. In comparison Interstitial journaling seems like a much more relaxed method. Plus, it combines journaling and time management, perfect! Thank you so much, I'll try this out!! 💖💖
This couldn’t come at a better time 🥹 I’m highkey overwhelmed about so many facets of my life, from planning trips, possibly migrating, Spanish classes, nonstop work, and trying to do self-care in between like… Do we EVER rest? 😢 But this is soooo helpful thank you! 🙏
Love this so much! Especially the tasks with estimations on the stickies! I've been using t-shirt sizes to estimate difficulty (e.g. XS,S,M,L,XL) as opposed to 4/10 for example since I find it easier to have less options :D
I was literally discussing this with my boyfriend yesterday and he suggested doing something along the lines of the 1st method you presented here. Thank you so much for helping me visualise his advice in a much more practical way! Now I see how to do this! I had a question/remark about method 5: isn't changing tasks that often inefficient because you have to focus on the task again every time you change, which is actually pretty long? (studies show it takes about 15min for your brain to jump to another task) Let me know what you think :)
I was wondering the same thing but in guessing that it’s better to do 5 min at something (and learning that you actually wanted to keep going, so unlearning the dreading the activity) than just procrastinating and postponing it until you have no more choice and the only motivation is great stress and anxiety 😬
Those are great tips! Now, almost everything feels like a chore unfortunately. I’ve put pressure on myself even when I’m supposed to have free time, to read « good quality » novels and movies, so only shitty reality TV or bad quality movies and books don’t feel like an obligation. Kinda sucks! I’m trying to unlearn that. I’m also trying to unlearn that I hate all forms of exercise because I forced myself to do things I didn’t enjoy for the wrong reasons (like hating my body)
I feel sooo typical german right now 😅 What are "weekends"? What is "free time"? And what are "date nights"? And why are your working days from 8 to 5??? 😅 I work every day from 6 am to 10 pm and don't have time for fun or my boyfriend. He has to work with me if he wants to be with me. 😅 Sure I'm burned out but I just can't relax without going crazy and angry... 😥
After hundreds of productivity videos, I’m being shown your video which sounds a bit like productivity but more like self-love productivity. I love it.
OMG yes, I've tried time blocking for 4 days and I failed. I don't like this because it feels forced. I'm gonna try the sticky notes method. I have a flexible schedule but I'm still a student so that makes me procastinate sometimes (most of the time). Thank you ❤
I love this video so much! As I am trying to find systems that work for me even in low-energy/high-pressure situations, it is amazing to have alternatives to the standard time-blocking technique (which I still find helpful in certain periods). Since I have been spending a lot of time researching productivity methods, I was impressed that you introduced methods that I genuinely hadn't heard of before! I am looking forward to trying out some of these. Thank you so much for sharing!
I literally couldn’t get things done without your life admin videos. I haveeee to have them on in the background ❤ also please share your lip product combo? It’s dreamy xxxx
With the interval timer that keeps increasing how long of a break do you take between each session? Thanks so much for the idea! I'm excited to try it out!!

I love how your videos always come at the right time! I was just thinking this morning about how I can plan my day without getting burnt out again and do the things I actually want to do. Thank you! 🩷
