This year has been the year of getting my act together. My girlfriend and I had about 25k in debt, and for a while my girlfriend struggled getting a job at the beginning of the year. But we both finally sat down and budgeted for the entire year and we will be out of debt at the start of the new year, maybe even sooner.

2024 has been my year to declutter. I’m following a course that I bought myself for Christmas last year. Among the concepts I’ve learned is spend 5 minutes every day picking up trash or taking things to their designated home. It’s effective and results are cumulative. I have minimal nice clothes reserved for special occasions. I work with dogs so 99% of my wardrobe is tshirts and joggers. I wear my clothes until ripped or stained then toss. Not nice enough to donate. My car is a rolling trash can so I’ll work on it today. I’ve been working 12-16 hours the past few weeks and my car reflects that, going from appointment to appointment.
pantry cleanout- oh my gosh I did that a few months ago. I have been living here for 7 years. I found 6 and 7 year old food in there - cleared whole shelves of expired food.
As a man I constantly don’t find clothes to wear but I just wear whatever and forget about it. I’m also single so that might explain the lack of care 😅
Hi Rachel, I have been a long time fan since I read your book 😊 Quick request: could the future videos be shot/filmed in a way that you are directly making eye contact with the viewer? I notice that your eyes are looking up past the viewer and that can feel not as engaging 😊
Ughhh number 4….I have a method of madness but I’m sure it’s annoying ..I’ll throw out any box or storage that I havnt touched or opened in over a year ..take it to goodwill etc BUT..I continue to purchase new items that get put on the clutter drawers/boxes
The home office and files that need to be shredded. I try to do this once a month. I keep a separate file for tax receipts. Then, at tax time, everything you need is in the folder. My current project is 200 years' worth of family pictures dating back to the 1800s. I inherited the family pictures and am trying to figure out how to display and store them. I have giant plastic totes of them. Yikes! 😮
I think it's time to make it more appealing for potential buyers. Real estate can be quite the rollercoaster! the stress and uncertainty are getting to me. I think I'll cut rents to attract potential buyers and exit the market, but I'm at crossroads if to allocate the entire $680k liquidity value to my stock portfolio?
Overall, buyers hold a lot of the cards right now, and sellers are having to give out more concessions to close a deal." All the best, buying on sale is actually one of the best ways to invest in stocks, and advisors are ideally suited for such task
