Omg Windy you just read my mind I was just searching in You Tube “Art with Washi tape” and your video just popped at the to p of my screen.Thank you ❤️
I have a couple of videos with ideas for using Washi tape... but your ideas are much better! I love each of them... um... I think my favourite is the backgrounds and the silhouette is a close second... colour block next.
Feel free to share the video if you have any washi loving friends, I always appreciate it:) I also use washi it for masking, highlighting days on my calendar and general decorating:) Do you use washi tape? How do you washi?
Windy Iris Art whenever I color, I use washi tape as a border and when I’m done, I peel it off so I have clean, beautiful lines. (Windy Iris if you want to see my art it’s @fuqingpiggies on Instagram) thank you windy iris for the tips BTW
Windy Iris Art, the last one was my favorite!!! I also use washitape like u just not in my drawings..☺☺But i will sure try it, it seems so cool!!!! I really love your videos!! Keep the great job!!
I love drawing and I mostly draw sailor moon. But as soon as I color that pic, I don't like it anymore. I want to try to color it with washi tape. I just bought a bunch of tapes. 😍😍
Loved the video! :D I recently found some washi tape I didn't even know I had, so this video came out at the perfect time! ;) My favorite page is probably the mosaic one :))
I bought washi tape just to try these! BTW my friend wants to do a Q/A but she only has 13 subscribers. That is why i hope you guys can go on my channel and open one of my vids on which she commented. Her channel is called but why. Plz go on one of her vids and leave some questions
My friend gave me a beautiful paper - covered lidded box from Japan with a floral design. At first I wasn't sure what I was going to use it for but I found a little leaflet at the bottom of the box that said it was a washi box. So now I use it to hold my favorite rolls of washi tape. Notice I said favorite because I have so many rolls that they don't all fit. So glad for this tutorial so I can play around with these ideas and use more tape! 😃
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial Amy. A washi tape box sounds perfect, I actually need a way of storing my rolls. I'll have to find myself a box - I'll probably upcyle something:)
Great video! The mosaic and the silhouette are my favorites. I use washi tape in my bullet journal, but I've been looking for art ideas, so thank you. :)
I love using washi tape in my paper crafting, but never looked outside the box, I have used mine for back grounds and just to add some new media to my crafting so far. Great video. tfs! hugs
I love your videos and creative ideas ! Sorry to be a bit rude but why you draw that hideously shaped nose for your characters??? That piggys snout spoils your artwork. Its not cute, it horrifies me.
I’ve bought some rolls of washi tape just because it looks really pretty and I wanna find some uses for it. But I don’t wanna waste it by using it like masking tape for my water paintings. That seems like a waste of such pretty tape. I really love the ‘picture framing’ idea. It’s very simple, but makes artworks look so much prettier,
What kind of marker utensils were you using to color in the women you drew? Looked like they blended really well when you did the hair highlights and especially when you colored in her skin/face. I’ve gone through many types of markers for drawing/coloring, expensive and cheap ones, but hate the heavy bleed through and not being able to blend dark colors but what you used seemed great and looked great! Let me know please!!
A sponsored video is normally one where a company has paid for you to a create the video and mention their product. In this video I was just sent some supplies to test out and use:)
Another way I tend to do is a reverse silhouette. I will make a circle of washo tape and then use an exacto knife to cut out a shape like a cat or whatever. It usually ends up really nice.
Thank you Ana:) I've used washi tape to stick pages in my sketchbook too! I also find washi tape less likely to tear the paper when using it for masking, unlike masking tape:)
The shop I spoke of in the video has a really nice selection of washi tape - washi tape on the whole is not cheap, especially if you want good quality:)
Cool ideas! I kind of did two of the ideas in my work. It turned out like a wallpaper background and it went nicely with the artwork I made. Maybe you can make a video using washi tape to accent different shapes. Just a thought.
