She's dry for sure just starting to get some grass pop up in our yard from the last attempt at rain.

We are in the same position here in the upper Wimmera catchment. Definitely going to be a long haul. Look after the sheep at all costs because at the end of this you’ll still have them, maybe not the crops and all the inputs though. I learnt that lesson the hard way during the millennium drought. Just remember droughts come and droughts go.

Probably a bit late now but with the renovator use the rollers to set the depth, the top link to get it level and let the linkage float. Always entertaining watching crop farmers use 3pt hitch for the first time hope the the season turns around for ya 🤞

In W.A mate we had 56 mls last week , this week ir has the first 2 days about 10 mls each day and the westerly air flow is pushing this rain right into the far interior . So here is to praying , it is nearly your turn .

It’s a shame the rain a couple of weeks back was so little and has already dried up, even the gardens are dying of thirst 😞 Let’s hope that something comes soon, wouldn’t it be nice for a week or so of decent constant rain.

I have a 4080 Chamby myself. Put the multimeter on the back of the alternator see if 14v off that, if not trace the wiring back. 9 times out of ten it's the alternator in my case the pickups get full of dust or are worn out easy $15 replacement without replacing the whole alternator which I've changed over to a VN commodore/kingswood type for easy parts availability, which yours looks like.

Does your 80 series still have an ammeter in the dash? We had many of them fail after tractors had been left standing for a extended period and then run causing the alternator to charge at high rates and burning out the ammeter. Solution was to take out the ammeter, joining the wires across the back, then fitting a volt meter.

We find it best to leave the trams a little raised when there finished so they pack back level
