I think so long as dodge continues to not make the same mistakes with the Hornet like they did with the Dart, it could 100% be a mainstay in the lineup for the next 10+ years.
I actually wish the opposite and that dodge would stick with a fuel-efficient sedan instead of coming up with a crossover that isn't particularly great at anything. I would totally buy another designed Dart if they learned from their mistakes.
If you're going to keep mentioning Alfa Romeo at least get the damn car right. This car is the Tonale not the Stelvio. Who really cares about a HUD. I do not. Get over it.
The GT are the best ones to buy because it’s 2.0 liters and 268 HP and if you have the time and the money you can modified it with engine tuner and upgrade the turbo many modifications you could do with the GT
HUD display. what about it? Sounds like a complaint when mentioning it's absence. How about mentioning how many hundreds of dollars you save on a non HUD windshield when it comes to replacing it. If you live any where near snow country and all the sand used on most highways in most states a pitted windshield is a common maintenance issue.
This vehicle is a nice package, but because its basically an Alfa Romeo I dont think I could buy one because I'd be constantly worried about it falling apart.
Cars these days are just an assembly of globally available parts. Alpha doesn’t make the car in-house. They p ly assemble and sell it. Just like A Jag is an assembly of parts; brembo, borg-Warner, BMW I6. Whatever. Stop identifying brand with quality.
@@petercharron3268but some manufacturers like the Japanese actually give quality parts to their assemble lines , not like the trash you're speaking of especially with alfa lol
@johnbeckham1483 who said that ? The car hasn't even been out long enough to determine that and after seeing so many test drive reviews and it lighting it up like a Christmas tree , I'll save my money lol
Don't touch my Dart! I personally own a 2014 Dodge Dart SXT that I bought used back in 2017 & I am still enjoying my Dart as it has been very dependable & reliable!
MY wife is annoyed every time I say the Hornet is related to her Maserati Levante. The reviewers remarks about its driving characteristics is so like her Maserati. Aggressive, nervous and touchy. I love the Hornet.
How did we ever get along with a car that had none of the technologies available today? Very well, I'd say. For a sporty car I want one with a powerful 4-banger mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. I want disc brakes, fully independent suspensions, comfortable seats with great support, just enough gages like a tach, speedo, temp and an array of idiot lights. That's all.
I tried one. No power seats!! Difficult to get in and out of without hitting your head. Unless you are a tall person and don't need to adjust the seat to get in and out every time. The hatch, because of the long sleek look, I couldn't reach up to close it without standing on my tippy toes. And no power buttons either. The 3 head rest on the back seats - one can't see out the rearview mirror. The final strqw - I opened the back door and that wing off the window/door frame knocked me in the face and knocked my glasses right off. I loved the power. The seats are comfortable. It's a stylish car but not for me. Sorry Dodge. :(
I have a GT Plus. Who needs a HUD when you can't possibly miss the Bold mph in the middle of the screen? Also, why criticize it for the size of the backseat? Look elsewhere if you need a bigger backseat! Are you an NBA player? Then don't buy it! I wanted a sporty car that fits easily in my garage. I will admit that the touchscreen has small icons and overall is very complicated. But once I get everything set for my likes I won't need to worry about it.
Absolutely dislike my hornet crash lights stay on whenever it's foggy or raining or anything goes on outside they dony know y they said it needed update y it is brand new not happy at all with it will never own another one
I'm a Mopar or No car guy. But this vehicle will be a flop just like the Dodge Caliber. I had their last compact sports car, the SRT4. That was the last exciting compact car that they made. This car will be a computer nightmare.
Fix it again TONY. Please. But cars today are not so much manufactured in house, but assembled everywhere from common parts; brembo brakes, borg-Warner injectors, Ford injected V6 or BMW I6. There’s no Tony.
It's hard to comprehend how the "Alfa-ness" of this car's interior could be perceived as a negative. Dodge is a GARBAGE brand that reeks of extreme cost-cutting everywhere you look & touch. No matter how much you spend, there's no escaping the assortment of equally nasty, low-rent plastics that almost seem designed to punish & humiliate owners for poor judgment. 🤣 The more legitimate concern here is the risk of Alfa diluting their brand because of the "Dodge-ness" of the Tonale. 🫤
It is a lemon. Dodge is not a tech company and the entire car is tech support dependent. My Family's hornet is at the dealership waiting for 'special' battery replacement for 2+ months. Lemon laws starting to become relevant.
@@dnice362 I ordered base GT with standard AWD, tech pack, and all weather package. Sticker is 34,330 dealer cost to me is 32,209. Ordered from Granger Motors in Iowa. You can find good deals if you special order
You live in the past time...I don't think You had an Alfa in your whole live, but I invite You to Buy a VAG car o Mercedes 🤣 You Will know what is an unreliable car...
I’m a huge Mazda fanboy but this is a step above the CX30 for 2K less. The CX3 is slower, has a lower cost suspenion setup, slower steering rack, lower quality interior, and worse tech. This car is a fantastic bargain. The interior is very nice on these cars for a 30k price point.
@@jjchockey The CX-30 has a faster 0-60 time, pinpoint steering, and a much more quality interior than the Dodge. Don't know where you're getting your info from. Plus, this Dodge will see more of the service department than the Mazda will.
@@richardkrawczyk5606 it’s an Alfa Romeo not a dodge. The interior quality is quite good for this price point. The steering ratio is a lot quicker and it has more sophisticated dampers and suspenion design.
@@mixedbyfiatcat We on a racetrack? Lol what you think the hornet is? Not fast, Subaru has incredible reliability and safety and AWD is a far superior car that hornet better get out of here with fwd costing 30k base. The screen on the Subaru is nice, it’s been updated
This vehicle is going to be a hoagie. Techs are going to be feeding their family for years fixing these things. A turbo 4cyl with a lot of power from……DODGE.😂
