Wow bro! You're living the life i dream of. To be honest, I think the free food(which looks amazing btw) is drawing me the most. Here is a deep question for you, do you feel like you've made it? Have you reached success yet? What is success to you? I know they are million pound questions but would love to hear your response. As always, keep up the grind bro! Ahh the free food is great, not enough to choose a company though. Nah “success” is too subjective, and my definition of it is linked more to spiritual goals than material ones. I’m glad I had a (hopefully) positive impact on you bro :)

With magic circle firms predominantly accepting those who go to a Russell group university, what would you advice be for me as I am currently in Yr13 but my firm option is University of Sussex which is a good university but not russell group

If it helps, I went to Bournemouth University (not Russell group in the slightest) and I have a TC at a top 20 law firm. Tis possible 🙌🏼

Do you feel your commute has affected you at all (missing out on socials/firm events, stay late etc)?

Good question, commute affects your uni experience, but not so much for work. I can stay until 11:30 for socials. Any later, my firm will pay for a cab (but ofc depends on many factors).

Another good Q. It’s been fine! My firm’s pretty diverse, and even those who are from different backgrounds, have been super cool. Very happy so far 🙏🏻. Unity over division ahaha

I am 24 years old, and 1+ years into commercial law. Listening talking to you seemed like I am listening to an intern, not a trainee for sure. Dude these things are easy. Bruh we are just facilitators in any transaction and if you'll see, the work that we do is meaningless. As in it doesn't add value anywhere, we just act/argue upon the decision taken by investment bankers or business guys. Overall we're "highly-paid clerks" and the work that we do is not difficult at all.

Yeah I thought a lot seemed easy. If you are personally interested in fin twit, business, economics then surely things like an IPO or derivative should be straight forward

its Ramadan and he's been eating "free food breakfast, lunch and dinner" everyday at his law firm saying his protein levels are higher n that. During Ramadan may Allah guide you brother.
