My locs will turn 3 in July. I can’t wait until they are this long! I think I’ll hit that length at 3.5 -4 years. I’ve learned that my locs will not look like everyone else’s and that ok. My only regret is not locing my hair sooner.
I totally agree with you!!! I just started my loc journey in December and man my hair has changed alot and I can't wait until I get to your phase in a couple of years!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪
@@mrace2712 thinking of cutting mines grew my hair for 2 years before I got them started with 5 inches of hair now my hair is 7-8 inches 2 years so in total 4 years 2 year with the fro and 2 year with the locs honestly because of the slow growth might as well just chop it off
I’m so glad to finally see an example of someone with freestyle parting! AestheticFemme is the only other one I’ve seen with freestyle parts. I chose freestyle too and have been wanting to get some inspiration from others. 💆🏾♀️
Those "Bonjour, Bonsoir, Bonne santé" were so perfectly said that I get excited thinking she would kept speaking in french so I could understand (yes I'm french and in quarantine.. sorry to be this hopeless 😭😂 )
I thought I was the only one with 2 headed dragons. Some long neck some short😂 Great Video! I agree once they mature, and you embrace them, hair maintenance is so easy!
Yall inspired me on my journey. I'm coming upon 2 years and seeing this video made me think back to day one. Glad you posted this, wondering how his progress was and it looks dope. Stay blessed, stay loc'd.
I’m just ove a year and a half loc’d. I started long hair with two strand twist and I’m never looking back. I’ve had natural hair my whole life, I was wearing it pressed for about 6 years and then I didn’t know what to do so I decided to loc it. I love my locs and I usually wait about every 2 months between retwists and because the Rona closed down my salon, I just retwisted my locs for the 1st time myself and I used your two stand twist method to keep it!!
I just started my loc journey in December...this video gives me hope and I love that you helped him take care of his hair!!! Proud of yall thank you!!!
Omg I am so mad at myself I didn’t realize how close you live to me I would have came to you a longgg time ago 😭 me and my daughter I can’t wait to be able to make appointment with you.
Amazing work. My hair is like Zion beginning dreads. But I have not went to get it done. My hair is roughly 1.5 inch on the sides by the ear. Should I wait until it grow more
Hey! I need your help please.. I would love to start my locs too. I did a big chop in July but my hair does not grow quick enough. Any idea how to boost/support hair growth? I’ve tried a couple of things but they don’t look like working.
Hello. I just started locs for my son. I am sa happy I found you... I wish I would have watched Before I started, but I think I know what to do moving forward now. I do have a question, does he need to wear a shower cap, or is it ok to get them wet in the shower everyday? Thank You!
It’s a beautiful journey to partake in, I’m in my early Phase. Yes, somedays I’m freaking out , but I do know that I will achieve my desire goal. @dxlyn started my locs last year, I’m coming up in a full 12 months in September. Sadly due to the nature of my job, my locs were messed up because of my daily routine. So, I’m hoping that she will be able to fix the damage that was caused by another stylist. If not, I’m cutting them and starting all over!!! 🤣🤣
So I have question, I started my locks last june so it's been 10 months since I've had them and I'm torn between useing the croche needle method or twisting them with gel or doing both
Question! at 9:12 I noticed at the root of the two head dragon, he had a little bit of some lint, is that common? I washed my hair the other day and noticed that a few of my locs had that little bit of lint, similar to Jamal's. Wasn't really noticeable until my hair had dried, trying not to stress too much about it too much, any suggestions to avoid it? I only use aloe vera plant gel for retwist and oil when my scalp is dry, which is not even that often either.
I'm not feeling my locs. I feel like they are too thin. I want them medium-sized. I'm thinking about restarting my journey, but I've been on this journey for a year and four months. I'm hoping they get thicker eventually. Idk if I should just start over or wait for them to get thicker smh.
@mr ACE thinking of cutting mines grew my hair for 2 years before I got them started with 5 inches of hair now my hair is 7-8 inches 2 years so in total 4 years 2 year with the fro and 2 year with the locs honestly because of the slow growth might as well just chop it off
I reallyyy want to start locs but I can’t go through the ugly stage. I work at the bank so it wouldn’t be good for my job. I recently cut my hair to about 2 inches because I had a perm. I was thinking of getting loc extensions but the ones I bought are too thick. This is a struggleeeee. On another note HMU anyone who wants to buy 10 inch loc extensions 😭
You can wear a wig over the locs while they go through the ugly stage. I did that. Some people frown on it but not everyone has a lifestyle where they can be free to let their locs out during that crazy phase. I'm now 2yrs and I can safely wear my locs out without people looking at me like im some homeless crack head.
Yeah my 1st loc journey I wore wigs to work, didnt have any issue. I started with maybe 3 or 4 inch hair so it wasn't bulky. I would wear my wig to work and take it off after lol.
