I disagree about the low recoil as a “casual” mechanic, since the spread is waaaaay higher in this game. You must know the optimal range for every weapon. To me, this is skill.
Wait.... what? No recoil? There's a shit ton of recoil with the auto weapons. Hell, everything but the sniper rifles (all you use for most of the video really) has pretty good recoil and spread. I personally freaking love how the guns get more accurate as you auto fire. You find a groove where gun lines up. It's great.
bf1 is probably my favourite. best atmosphere, excellent gunplay, superb graphics and immaculate sound design. bf4 and bf1 are S tier games, bf3 is A tier, Hardline and bf5 are B tier
I think I have an opposite opinion to most of the points that you mentioned. I loved the weapon division between the classes, since it forced players to adapt their play style to the class they're using while keeping all of them combat effective. I personally never found weapon pick ups from BF4 entertaining at all and loved the elite classes. They added so much variety to the fights, making you put up some actual team effort to take them down (or bayonet charge, that works too). And using them, oh boy, I had some of my best BF moments using elite classes. But at the end of the day it's just my opinion. Great input, keep it up.
I agree with you about the division between classes bc it means there not too overpowered bc the best weapons are in assault and they can’t just heal themselves or give themselves ammo
Bf4 is fun but im not a big fan of it, the gunplay isn't as good and it just feels like there is no clear direction, bf1 for me feels like I have a greater impact on the map and also I prefer bf1 maps, thats just me tho
BF1 is my favorite online multiplayer shooter ever made. I play almost everyday, still get tilted sometimes but then I go on a banger and it keeps me coming back. Also the planes are fun af
Battlefield 1 was a great game that did the best it could to capture the horrors of a war that was raging on 100 years ago to the day it was released. It was a tribute to the war and the men who fought and died in it. the game did everything it was meant to do, and it did it as best as it could. I think it is one of the best games in the franchise. It’s not meant to be what battlefield 3 or 4 were.
It did a pretty lousy job of capturing the historical aspect of it. They just took the casual arcadey gameplay of Battlefield 4 and gave it a WW1 skin.
@@UnchainedEruption that’s a complete lie. This game plays nothing like bf4 and it’s not even close. And they didn’t do a lousy job capturing the historical aspects of the Great War because ALL of the history you need is in the codex. Plus, they have the core factors of ww1 like trench warfare, chemical warfare, primitive tanks and new experimental guns. They even included the flame thrower which really captures the “all is fair in love and war” mindset that was present at the time. Armored trains and zeplins and other behemoths are ALL historically accurate. The gameplay is tight and immersive and VERY intense compared to the “casual arcadey gameplay” of bf4.
We still play daily! The best trailers thats for sure. BF1 was incredible and still is. Minus some really annoying UI changes like lack of dedicated server browser and the issues how they structured all of that nonsense. BF4 was better in that regard. But its a great game. Behemoths are epic and a lot of fun. Unique atmosphere. Back to basics mode is great with only bolt action. But obviously people like their automatics.
Who needs 2042?I just now bought battlefield 1 for $4.99 and battlefield 5 was free on ps plus…I’m new to both games and I’m having a blast…So my thinking is play both these games for at least 1,000 hours each and catch 2042 for $4.99 down the road.As long as there is lobbies to play in. Edit:didn’t like bf4 at all Bf3 was good. Bad company was good.

Bf1 is a spin-off title. It allows dice to steer away from classic style of battlefield like in bf3 and bf4. Bf1 is one of my favorite battlefield games. The atmosphere is brilliant and the weapons are very satisfying to use.
Yeah, everyday there is a hacker... Its very sad... 😭 But i play it anyway, its the best bf in my opinion 😍 when there are private servers, there is no problem, the hackers get kicked and banned, but on dice servers there are a lot of hackers... 🙄
I'm still playing daily. No other game will ever feel more satisfying from the aerial combat to blowing down doors and breaching rooms to the long range intense sniper fights. Best war game ever made.
I like to think of BF1 as a game that represents an alternate reality of WW1 where all these weapons and tech were developed very quickly and were successful enough to be put into mass production. A "what if" kind of thing.
Yh it’s more fun than sitting in a trench with a bolt action rifle for hours wouldn’t be very fun despite it being realistic. It feels like if ww1 happened 5 years later
Been a Modern Warfare Multiplayer guy for a while. Got so sick of it. Total BS on all levels (you know what I mean if you play). Ground war is a total $hit show. Constant white phosphorus, constant OP sniping, constant tryharding. No fun at all. Just downloaded BF1.... I almost tested up after my first round. Where had this game been my whole life?

Battlefield 1 was an awesome game one of the best that I've ever played online and I liked the campaign to. The only reason why I quit playing is because modders took it over and they let them do it. I would still be playing it if it wasn't for that but modders are what broke it. If these morons who designed the games would ban people for cheating then people would play the multiplayer games alot longer and be more likely to buy thier games. Nobody wants to be cheated and it's obvious to any veteran player when they are being cheated. I also didn't buy anymore Battlefield games since then because of modders. If they won't get rid of them then I won't buy thier games. The same goes for Call of Duty and that's the way that everybody should be you should hold them to a standard.
I love BF1. Being a BF player for years....BF1in my opinion is the most immersive. Last immersive BF game for me was BF Bad Company 2. BF3 and BF4 were great games too
Battlefield 1 is a good game, is really fun. However Is not the best ww1 game out there. In my opinion verdun from the ww1 series is the best ww1 shooter out there as is the most historically authentic
Even though the gameplay wasnt 100% accurate. It made up by giving you actual facts about ww1 during campaign. I learned alot of sad stuff because of this game
It's worthed if you get Premium Pass! I've been playing the game for 4 months and at one point ir really got frustratingw ith not having the premium pass because of the map and weapon limitation.
@@mitre_saw I forgot if I ended up buying battlefield 3 or 4, but all I remember that the game was on sale for 5 dollars, and you actually had to pay for some other bullshit to play certain game modes, so I just decided to get a refund got my 5 dollars back, and bought Lego movie game 🥴 last time I buy a $25 gift card.
Nice video, but I disagree with many of your points especially about classes. This video could have been great if you talk about positives as well (operations, immersion,, music etc.)
That’s not exactly the right statement - BF1 is NOT supposed to be a correct impression of WW1, it is NOT supposed to be authentic - but it does what no other game does as well, it’s IMMERSING THE PLAYER in the WW1. Compared to sims like Verdun or Beyond the Wire, it may not give authentic physics, technology, but it GIVES AUTHENTIC FEELINGS AND EXPERIENCE. It’s CHAOS, GRIT, and WAR, obvious already from the trailer… - I expected BF1 players to understand this already but it seems the game is under appreciated and misunderstood…………..
Had a lot of good memories on this game. Takes me back to when life was just good and god was it a fun bf game. This coming from a bf vet it was honestly one of the best and far better than 2042 or bfv

Bf 1 is a great ww1 game but a poor battlefield game. Many casual gamers got introduced to franchise through this game which is why it is loved by many players Bfv failure as a game also made bf1 look even better but in reality bf1 is overrated
I honestly hated the game, I’ve downloaded deleted and downloaded many times over and I can just never get into it, I feel like it’s a pc game forced to console, bf4 I have no issue with but idk there’s something about bf1 than I just don’t like
I am still playing/streaming/etc Battlefield 1. The game just feels good, the audio is great and there are still enough players/gamers to have fun with. Didn't see many cheaters compare to BF5 or Warzone...., whats a big PLUS

Yes, you can play. Not full graphics, but you should be able to play. Played it with a 650M (mobile version) and could play full HD with most of it @ medium
I recently redownloaded bf1 again, but theres a problem. The multiplayer screen in the main menu says "connecting". It never really goes away and i can only play the campaign. Can someone help?
There should be a note that say connect to servers or go online on the multiplayer page just press the button that it tells you to press and you should be good
