Is not looking at tutorial or code examples the basics of a good game dev? Just starting out and feels like ill have to google stuff forever.

You'll end up looking online for awhile, I still do aswell, but for most things you'll end up just memorizing how to do it, or combining smaller solutions for a bigger one. It'll become a lot smoother!

there will come a point when you unlock the next phase the new level and you will maybe view the unfinished ones differently maybe in a year with new info you go back and finish my boy you got a story arc i can follow💯

Congrats on your journey! What made you want to switch from Unity to Unreal?

I personally felt I could achieve higher quality games with Unreal, I also felt that my workflow with Unreal worked well for me! That being said, I still love using Unity. There's many things that both engines do that I think are great. I've been using Unity a little more recently just because I've gotten more comfortable with it lately. My preference varies quite a bit

I feel the same way with my writing and pixel art 3 years ago I could not edit now I can really easily... 3 years ago I could not make a complexe(angle wise) 300x300 pixel image now I can still takes a while but I can get faster at it.
