Error Quest tiers are progressed as follows. You need 10 tier points to get to tier 2, 20 to tier 3, 30 to tier 4, 40 for tier 5 and so on. The tier of the quest correlates to the points towards progression you get. So if you do tier 1 that’s 1 point tier 4 is 4 points. If you do the highest tier quests available it will take you 10 quests to tier up.
I always max out packmule first than lucky looter. It is actually the best way to start because being encumbered causes you to lose stamina quicker and therefore need to eat and drink more. The points you need to put into strength increase your zombie killing ability and not being encumbered makes fighting easier.
I'd add as a tip in regard to being encumbered that simply dropping things is very smart. 7 days to die has a LOT of items that are not significant in small quantities or for many playstyles. Simply filling your inventory isn't a good strategy. Those 3 pieces of paper, 23 iron, 12 led etc are less than useless. Paper is mainly used in crafting shotgun ammo. Iron is nice, but 23 iron won't get you anywhere and led is again for crafting ammo and 12 led won't get you anything. When these materials become relevant you can easily obtain them in useful quantities. Saving a few from each point of interest will not meaningfully contribute at all. Taking extra trips or being encumbered or spending extra skill points however will meaningfully slow you down. Being encumbered comes with a lot of risk as not being able to move fast enough could get you killed by a wandering horde or doggie horde even on forgiving difficulties. Cloth, Leather and Glue are examples of items that are more often useful to keep, even if you don't have too many. But even then, if you only have like one you should drop it in favor of movement speed. There are also books that make you never encumbered at night and the fireman book series that make you never encumbered in the burnt biome or wastelands. You can also put storage containers on the side of the road. It costs 10 wood and you can just dump things in there before being encumbered is an issue. It can be handy if you reach your quest limit as you might loot many extra poi while waiting or scrapping etc. Tl:dr you rarely fill your inventory with very useful things, don't be afraid to throw the least useful items or to stash them on the side of the road. Investing a bunch of time into small quantities of useless items is bad for surviving and thriving in the apocalypse.
Its ten quests per tier now (They added a counter on the top of the quest tab). You can also set progression limit to unlimited rather than 8 if you wish (use the left menu arrow 3-2-1- unlimited).
The only reason why I didn’t mention the unlimited option is because when I switched it to unlimited all my traders got reset to tier 1. Didn’t want that to happen to anyone else. Idk tho was probably just a bug. Thank you for the correction tho it is 10
Hold square on ps5 to change the block type. And then you can change the rotation of the block by holding square and going to advanced to get the rotation that you want of that block if the default rotation doesn't work.
Thank you! Subscribed! That tip of putting a block in front of a door when fighting zombies is great. Some constructive criticism: slow down a little bit. Too much information too quickly :-).
Very good presentation, good speed and clarity and lots of tips. I just had a laugh when you showcased a Tier 3 or 4 for a first day camp. I wouldn't want to go into the basement with a level one wood club and level one stone arrow and bow.
Thanks for the help! Imma noobie; on XBOX the right trigger rotates the placement object. jsyk. Thanks again! Please make more for us noobs! Subbed! Def need more tips for horde nights and building in general. Great tips on the water dew collector and the forge! You need to drink water from a lake at least one time to complete the quest requirement. Recommend taking the cure for dysentery w/ you but one drink should not cause dysentery unless you have been eating sham sandwiches which give 12% dysentery per sammie.
I have found that we have the most fun when we set it too 1 mission a day. This allowed more time for exploration and you don't feel pressured to get as many missions done a day as possible. I go into lucky looter and salvaged early and barely touch traders as other than getting the bike they are pointless
Scraping tiered items is almost never worth, its almost always better to sell it. Eventually you'll have enough money to buy something nicer than you can make. If the item is valuable and low durability you can repair it and sell it for far more, this could then be used to purchase more repair kits than you used to repair the item, oh and its cheaper to buy the materials to make repair kits than it is you buy them outright ;)
I think that saving armor until you have higher level then scrapping lower level for parts is the best way. Scrapping chairs and other stuff for basic materials at any point is also good. They have made crafting end game gear way more important than relying on RNG or traders to get what you want.
I think eventually you should start doing that but in the beginning when your low storage and don’t have the stuff to craft repair kits scrapping is best. But yeah eventually what you are saying
@@Supercali8 Ya, early game I mostly scrap then sell to buy stuff but the amount of armor parts needed later makes me save those until I get higher level of the same. Then scrap the lower ones for parts. Saving brass and lead early on is tedious at best.
There is a school in Nazegane and when you get to the roof there is a ventilation stuff, go on its top and break the vent under it you will find a box that can be opened and looted. Pretty hidden spot.
Reasonable tips, but I would advise against using an existing building for your base. Those are too big and impractical to defend, and you would have nothing to do at night. Instead, make a small (about 5 by 5 blocks, 3 blocks tall) simple wooden base on top of an ore deposit somewhere near the first trader. So you could spend your first nights mining iron, as well as clay and stone to produce much needed cobblestone.
11:40 NEVER scrap springs. they are valuable, you'll need them later to craft things and there's no way to make them. scrap iron pipes, they are way more common. always break down beds & office chairs with a salvage tool like a wrench, ratchet or impact driver, not a destructive one like an axe. you'll get more materials out of them. past alphas i used to sell stacks of 10 office chairs to traders for 80 dukes, now leather is more valuable so i wrench them apart on the spot
I am a new player and I notice something yesterday while out scavenging, I came across a house with a swimming pool and water was low so drank from it and didn’t get sick, did my task at house and had some more water from pool and again didn’t get sick…..later drank from lake and got sick immediately, anyone else notice this?
I believe you get a small amount of dysentery with every sip but it's not enough to effect you. I wouldn't rely on those for water sources, but instead for emergencies.
Every time you drink from a source of water (pool, lake, ditch, etc) there is a chance you will get dysentery. Same as drinking murky water or eating a sham sandwich. Iron Gut reduces the chance of getting dysentery. The Water Purifier mod you can equip to your head gear will allow you to drink from sources as well as drinking murky water without getting sick.
About 1200 duke's gets you the water purifier mod and you can drink everywhere. Make the hole block and fill it water from a bucket and you can drink in base.
I have three! and used the boat house as it is surrounded by water on three sides, good stash house, maybe not for horde night but good for dew collectors and storage plus is near Rekt Vendor on Gazemane or wutever that map is called lol.
You tier up every 10 quests not 7 Edit: after continuing on with this video quickly realized for me to point out incorrect statements would take too long. Be carful watching this video is gives many false statements. One can hope he is just mistaken but have found many people who are just lying in videos since 1.0 release.
Suggestion: Depending on which perk tree you are focusing on should dictate your weapon types you use, at least mostly. Spears, sadly, just aren't very good though they should be. The damage just isn't there and while you have range it's surprisingly easy to miss headshots with them due to hitbox issues. The stone sledge is a good solid choice, though stamina heavy, unless you are going a STR build I do not recommend it. Similarly with clubs, while you will get knockdown more often it will be slow killing unless you are adding points into Pummel Pete. The best melee weapon to use at the beginning is the bone knife for any class. You need one anyway for harvesting animals, it's easy to repair, it's very easy to aim the power attack at the head & back off before you are struck. Power attacking a zombie with the bone knife will make it bleed, slowing it down & dealing extra damage which is useful if you are struggling with stamina at the very beginning most zeds go down from 2-3 power attacks if you run them around a little to let them bleed out. Doing so keeps your stamina up as well, in case others enter the mix. If you spec AGI, of course, the knife class is your weapon of choice while AGI is also great for bow use & pistols. For perception builds, I would just skip on the spear use altogether, focusing solely upon rifle & lucky looter in the beginning along with using the bone knife. Then you choose which other perk you want to put heavy focus in for your melee weapon, such as STR for clubs or INT for batons or AGI for knives or FORT for bare hands. I haven't tried using fists in 1.0 so can't speak to how effective or not that they are. Another alternative which still works is to invest a little into STR for Miner 69'er. Doing so allows you to use the mining tools as weapons a little better. Don't use the stone axe you can't power attack with it, use a stone shovel as your weapon while you have a stone axe for harvesting & breaking things. While not ideal in the beginning, everyone is going to invest at least 3/5 in miner 69'er for the most part eventually anyway so this is a solid choice to make in the very beginning of the game. From there, it makes it easier to do buried treasures or break down doors/safes as well as get a few resources to build an initial base with or fortify an existing one. I still tend to use this method in most cases unless I have a specific build I'm aiming for immediately, as the stone shovel has decent knockdown almost like a club. Getting 3/5 Miner 69'er is doable very fast, offering a nice mix of utility along with some combat potential. One could, if you focus on tools rapidly, then move into the lumberjack gloves with an iron fire axe as your main weapon for a little while. Combine this with a decent melee oriented horde base you can do just fine for the Day 7 horde even if you don't loot/buy other weapons. Putting a point in advanced engineering will also help get you the tools magazines faster if I recall properly, along with getting a forge & workbench so you can make those tools often within the first week if you hustle.
Don’t discount spears, upgraded they are great and best of all when using a block in a doorway you can use the reach of the spear to hit the zombies while they can’t hit you
Spears are MUCH better than knives, by a ridículous margin. They have much higher damage and range, they have higher knockdown chance, a better moveset to hit more than an enemy at a time, perforation, in-built armor penetration, stamina regen (up to full refill with books) and you can also build your base wisely to take advantage of all these feats (as opposed to knives that have a short range and low knockdown chance to benefit from. Spears are the 2nd best melee, just behind sledges and surpassing it in some situations. In fact, perception build is the absolute best in 1.0 with a consistent advantage over the rest: spears are a very solid melee on its own, but also have rifles to take down demolishers, explosives for a big bonus during hordes if you ever need it (build wisely and you won't), and even salvaging tools for insane amounts of resources that you can sell for huge incomes (much better than any trader perk) and to craft lots of explosives. In later stages of the game you can even invest on Lucky Looter as the benefits ar perceptual and it grows better the later you are on the game. Some other attributes have nice perks (parkour or pain tolerance, for example), but perception is by far the most well-rounded star to build around.
The mining tools can be surprisingly good. Just started playing this game myself, and found my iron shovel doing more damage than my iron spear. Though I've found an MP5 and M60 in random duffel bags in the world, so retired pistol and lvl 1 AK. LOL.
Can somebody help me I’m a new player I just got the tier 4 on trader on the PS five and when I get to the trader, he just gives me tier 3. Why is this?
On my second run with melee only and am having a ton of fun with the steel club with strength perks (sending them flying is always satisfying). Regular playstyle, I’d recommend a machete or something
Although I cannot stand this game I will give you a like because I don't think that the content creators should suffer for such an inferior game you would get more likes and more on the RU-vid if you played a different game however you're doing the best you can and it's not your fault the game sucks
Too much grinding in this game it isn't worth it get up in the morning grind for materials go to the house to house to get stuff that's going to respawn in about 5 to 6 days anyway so it don't make a difference go to the trader buy and sell come back fix your home or base whichever one you want to do for 7 days do the same thing over and over again and then fight a horde then go the next day and the only difference is you go to the trader first get whatever material you can get whatever ammo weapons whatever then go back down into the mines and get your stone and your iron and your call nitrate powder coat from car to car to get brass get all that stuff back together again put that in in your workstation start fixing the building do that for 7 days and then fight a horde then you have to work harder because the horde got a little bit harder big deal who cares it's nowhere as good a game as State of Decay any version but one or two. Add Microsoft said it best this is a work in progress it may or may not be finished only by this game if you're okay with its current state I installed it played a 20 minutes it crashed I said you I am not playing this game anymore not for $33 this is the kind of game that you give to people for free if they buy one of your other games it should be $6 on the GameStop discount rack if you have an extra 5 minutes to spare go ahead and download and play it cuz it's going to crash anyway all that being said enjoy your tears knowing that you spent all that money and it's a piece of crap
That's why I turned Hordes off, now it just feels like an unfinished zombie RPG, which I'm okay with. If the Hordes didn't last all night I would be okay with that... But I think the Horde system needs a lot of changes.... Call me a noob idc 😂😂
Personally I think the game is in a good state it's the best state it's been in for console players in 6 years when I played legacy on my Xbox I would get the glitch that reset a chunk and it would happen on my base I'm enjoying the current version iv just finished my second horde so I don't fully know how the horde progresses later in game or how slow it might get in late game but I had the same complaint about the legacy version I would get to day 35 and have all weapons have a good base have level 600 tools and weapons good armor and it would get super boring cause there wasn't a lot to work on but I feel with the 1,0 version there's the whole skill tree to work on and find magazines and reed books with good abilities and there's the trader progression system and I can't wait to go up on the vehicle system either so I feel there's more to work towards and it's harder to get stuck with the best everything but that's just my opinion iv been playing the game since 2017 and iv always enjoyed the game even if my game was 6 years behind computer version
@@trentonmosher8524 see Rick wants you to think that it's not so you want to go to be really good he wants gold to be where the lips are moving with the traitors that way they'll pay for it see when you take a game and go from alpha to a version like they did for say windows windows 3.0 and above every time it changed the looks of it changed the dimensions of it changed okay so 7 days to die it's supposed to be 7 Days to Die gold being the traditional game being really good and really easy to play and have a good time but the whole concept of the game is monotonous after you play through once there is no replayability I downloaded the original Alpha 15 for Xbox series X and I played it for I don't know 2 months of real hours I got today 6 and all of my data when I went back to play it was was gone except for a little ramp and a drawbridge going to the building and when I started the game and I saw that all my data was gone that was it that was a year ago I'll never spend another penny for this piece of this game that's never going to be finished they should have given the rights to the game to Microsoft and to Sony and let them work on it together to make a cross-platform and a good stable game using Unreal Engine not the cheap engine they're using this game is like Skyrim and Fallout had their way with Minecraft and Minecraft got pregnant and this is the baby and its brain dead when it comes to any good zombie game or any game at all you have to have Cannon you have to have things that happened in the beginning to give life to the story if you don't have that like how do you explain waking up with no clothes on and must have been a hell of a party but 5 years after any kind of thing would have happened to get murky water like it is in the toilets and stuff you would have to be like a 5-year span between you falling asleep and you waking up that doesn't make sense to me for example a game like State of Decay it's a state of decay the world is decaying the buildings are decaying humanity is decaying and a group of people including you have to bring back you know society and and in State of Decay 3 they will be going out into the forest and we'll have to go and you know get rid of plague hearts out in the forest that's truly saving the world you know what I mean not just the cities and towns and all that and little places like that but all over the place so I would welcome in State of Decay 3 a companion dog that I can like save from some zombies and like feed them and give them a blood plague cure and bring them back and have them help me survive while I'm out in the forest doing things to help clean up the zombie hordes I know it's nothing like 7 days to die but my point is that 7 Days to Die is just a zombie apocalypse game the only thing that makes it a little special is it's like Minecraft you can break everything and make everything that's it but unlike Skyrim although it does have the same Trader type deal is that the lips move and the Traders but in this game they never will I mean that might be part of it becoming gold I mean every road map has one thing in common off-road naps have toll booths when you get to the toll booth you got to pay to get acrossed it just like Windows 3.0 Windows 95 Windows 10 Windows blah blah blah so I can understand why they're doing it that way but they should have warned people ahead of time like Microsoft is saying it's an unfinished game so yeah I give them kudos for that besides Microsoft and Undead is does State of Decay anyway and that's the game I'm going to don't get me wrong I play Minecraft I like that kind of game I don't play that all the time replayability in Minecraft is the availability of having the stuff available so it's kind of a cheese game anyway you know what I mean it's like sitting down into an old puzzle you've done before it goes together the same way but you just started a different point Skyrim has never been a bang bang Shoot Em Up game but the mechanics in Skyrim or what the fun pimps said they liked best about their game is that it's like they like Skyrim they like Fallout and they like Minecraft so they created this game and I think they used the wrong engine and that's what screwed everything up everybody would have been happy right now if they immediately went to Microsoft and Sony instead of getting an outside by Telltale to do the console version I mean they are a console company they do games in console form they should have done that day one and we'd all be happy by now
Five tips to enjoy 7 Days to Die number one uninstall 7 Days to Die. number 2 install Skyrim Fallout and Minecraft.tip 3 Play 2 hours of all three games in a row. Tip 4 the most important tip of all install State of Decay 2. Tip number 5 make yourself a couple sandwiches a couple Red Bulls or whatever kind of power drink you like and sit back and enjoy your game
I liked State of Decay 2 - except the constant nagging of quest givers/enclaves that give up when you haven't done their task in like 2 hours ingame time because you are on the other side of the map doing another. Or that pretty much all the give supplies to survivor groups (I forget which specific questline) always always always has them then try to attack you to moment you give them what they asked for. If they would occasionally just say thanks it would be fine. Instead it's like better prep my companion and gear up to give these meds to helpless survivors. . . But the rest of it I enjoyed. Hopefully they'll fix up multiplayer on the next one. Your other players not having access to progression or your base resources or getting too far from you was annoying.
Lol. This kid has no idea what he's talking about. Tree stumps have a standard 10% chance of dropping honey, no matter where they are. None of them have a 40% chance. Duh. Don't listen to this newb.
“They also have a 20% chance to be harvested from destroyed Tree Stumps and 40% if that Tree Stump is near a Point of Interest.” Straight from 7 days to die also In the game code. Newb 🤣🫵
