The strangest (and most egregious) thing in Carousel of Progress is when the father mentions "And I even hear tell about two brothers from North Carolina who are working on some kind of flying contraption." I worked at Wright State University for 36 years, and I can tell you that the Wright Brothers were NOT NOT NOT from North Carolina. They were from DAYTON, OHIO, where they designed, engineered, and built their airplane(s). The ONLY thing that happened in North Carolina was the first flight(s).

I'm from Ohio just minutes from Dayton and yes as much as I love carousel of progress it irritates me everytime I hear that scene. Glad to know I'm not tbe only person who notices that error. The Wright Brothers are a source of pride for ohio.

That was a source of confusion for my family when we moved to Ohio and saw stuff about the Wright brothers because we were all under the impression they were from North Carolina!

Oh my goodness!!! “It’s Tough to be a Bug” absolutely TRAUMATIZED me as a kid. I went around 2007 when I was 7 and lost my absolute mind when the spiders came down from the ceiling!! My mom had to bring me out of the show and I was shaken for the rest of the day.

You missed one secret on the rockin roller coaster. My last visit two years ago we were in line and one of the concert posters said "performing tonight" and had my daughters name and home town on it. I guess the info came from her magic band somewhere in line and "magically" had it on the poster by the time we went by....Definitely a double take moment. Made for a great memory in the photo album!

There is a similar thing at the last room of the Expedition Everest queue, I believe. I saw my name on the poster with the cartoon-ish Yeti at least once. (IASW also will add names based on magic bands on the "Goodbye" postcards after you leave the last room but before you turn left to get back to the dock to get off the boat). I didn't know about the RRC one though! :) So I'll need to watch for that one now! :)

The chess game in Pirates has never been a stalemate when I've seen it, though it is usually a very strange position. If it were a stalemate, the game would be over and declared a draw.

Niche fact. If you look around all of pandora there are no mickeys. Janes Cameron wanted to make pandora feel like a absolutely new and exciting place, so he asked no mickeys be placed in pandora. There is a hidden one however. One sewer grate in pandora has the Mickey on it. The other has ACE on it.

In disneyland, Winnie the pooh took over the country bear jamboree theater. As a nod to the previous residents, just before you exit, you can see the heads of buff, max, and melvyn. It seems where ever pooh bear goes, he always remembers those who came before.

The portraits in the Haunted Mansion attic show the Bride, Constance with each of her 5 husbands. In each portrait she wears the number of pear necklace strands that coincide with the number of marriage she is in. The items gathered around each portrait are the weddings presents for the wedding of that marriage. The view of Morocco and Tower of Terror together from across World Showcase is now obstructed by the barges for Harmonious.

I once got evacuated off the Pooh ride. I asked the cast member if I could pause when we got to Mr Toad handing the deed over to Owl to take a photo. She walked me over and let me stay as long as I needed to get the perfect pic.

It took my friend and a Cast Member 5 while minutes pointing out the outlines of the Steam Boat Willie Mickey before I finally saw it. Other families were starting to line up behind us to also try and see it 😆

Yes, he is in the video. His large shape is spread over several different rocks. He is facing left. I suggest looking for the 2 big round buttons on his shorts and then looking up (head and hat), down (legs and feet), and left (arms and wheel). If you google it you might find some better angles.

I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but that thing about the chessboard on Pirates of the Caribbean is not actually true. It may have been the intention at some point, but that chess board (at least in this video) are NOT in a state of stalemate.

going to comment as someone who's special interest is disney rides/ride imagineering: tower of terror was not actually painted to match the moracco pavillion! it was actually built with inspiration to 1920s-1940s hollywood, which heavily used a spanish coloniel style for a lot of its architecture. the spanish coloniel color pallet matches very similarly to the color pallets used most commonly in moraccan architecture. it wasn't planned that they would match, but it worked out that way (which i think is cooler)

20:40 Small correction (and apologies if someone else has pointed this out already): the "Dean Finer" door is in the ride (between two show scenes), not the queue. Also, you can find an outline of the ship from the original ride on the sheet music in the final scene!

My favorite you missed are the sounds and lights you can trigger on the trees in Pandora. There are four holes in the trees on the little maze area in front of FoP that if you reach into they will activate animal sounds and lights. They are mostly om the tree near the Wilderness Explorers tent.

It took me forever too but I think I finally figured it out! The top of his head and the hat overlaps the guardrail/fence. His nose is pointing towards the light post and the palm tree on the left. It was really hard for me to find…an outline would have been very helpful!

Ok AJ you know better Walt Disney died in Dec 1966. They didn't start Magic Kingdom until 1968. He couldn't tell his imagineers to find a big carousel. He was dead.

Which rides? DFB has recommended seating for certain attractions (like Soarin'). Other rides have the same POV (most roller coasters, Haunted Mansion, etc.).

So Gravity's constant on earth is 9.8 feet per second squared, so that's the speed of free-fall, but tower of terror PUSHES you down at 13 ft/s2.

Not to be too much of a nit picker, but acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 _METERS_ per second squared. :) The part about the ride pulling us down at a rate higher than gravity is true though! :)

There is NO MORE "OFF SEASON" in Florida anymore, so forget about it. High prices, more crowds, more traffic, more crime, etc. And if you think you are going to move to Florida and work at Disney think TWICE! Here are the going rates for rent. 1 Bedroom $1,900 & 2 Bedroom $2,500. No joke! And buying a house in Florida has risen 40% and is the highest cost of living in the USA. PS... Don't forget to tack on the bills...electric, disposal, food, water, insurance etc. Don't say I didn't warn you!
