100% man. That’s why I felt the need to let people know in the intro of the video that this guy was being regarded VERY highly back then. He was praised as being “the next dude up”. You said it best though. He was working against some powerful forces and with Def Jam he was fighting a battle that he couldn’t win. It’s pretty sad actually. He was forced to put out horribly mixed music for years on end. Getting no support from his label.
