You can tell 50 being shot took him to a dark place lyrically. What makes him so legendary is that he found a way to improve his flow and put his emotions into what he was saying. There’s not a line he said when you didn’t think he wasn’t serious af.

Only until you find real friends, been there some that. Now I’m a adult, I only got 3 real friends, my missus, 1 guy I met as a teen in the streets (out of hundreds) and a guy I met in my early twenties (a decade ago) through work. Everybody else is just a associate, not a friend.

Man I always appreciate 50 for his physicality. So many rappers now are skinny and out of shape, preaching how ‘hard’ they are. 50 was straight up jacked, and a skilled boxer, actually hard.
For those who don't actually notice, he clenched his jaw more after the shooting due to the wires medically placed to keep his jaw together after it was broken from the bullet to his face. So yes, it DEFINITELY changed his voice. After it he kept his mouth clenched and tight as if he was talking thru his teeth half the time.
Exactly. For those saying he just got better with his flow… yes and no. I think the clinched jaw made him sound unique and he probably liked it too. Since it was relatively subtle it just sort of stuck and as the saying goes…if it ain’t broke, because it was already broke and then fixed, no need to break it again just to fix it. Or something like that right?

What they said about his voice was true.. that shot to his jaw kinda added more grit to the way he raps. Dude used something out of a bad situation that also made him rich.
Legit, his jaw being clenched tight from the surgeries made his flow sound full of frustration, tension, it exasperated the sound of his anger and gave it that real raw that was needed to really feel the pain through his lyrics. Imma stop there because I'm not a huge fan of his 😆🤣 but real is real 💯

03-06 50 had it on lock, I was born in 03 I didn’t start listening to 50 music til this year. And he’s already the 2nd artist I listened to the most this year and that says something. There’s still plenty of mixtapes that I still gotta check out

I feel as though Fifty's commercial hits help push the negative perception of him as a lyricists . 50 was always nice and fluid with it speaking the real
50 flow improved cuz of his rapping abilities. His voice is grittier & made it work for him. GRODT movie he shows us some things he did to help his voice like the baby teether.
