In this video, I have the best day of Crappie Fishing in my life! We are crappie fishing without livescope. With the help from Hannah, we catch 50 crappie in less than 3 hours! These crappie where STACKED UP on brush piles! We are crappie fishing with a bobber and live minnows. Crappie fishing in the summer is a great time to use live minnows. I have had great success crappie fishing in the summer with live minnows. The slip cork rig is at it again proving why it is still a force to recognize in the crappie fishing world. This is my Favorite show that you have done showing how you use the slip cork for deep structure. I fish slip corks shallow and 10ft poles for dead sticking deep brush. As soon as I get back out I am going to use the slip cork for my deep structure. Thanks!

@@Jay-sx7yi I agree 100%. Nothing better tasting than fresh harvest. In my personal opinion, I like eating the 10-11 inchers. 13"+ fish are typically your breeders and obviously have food genetics if they get that big. I like letting those go. But again, just my personal preference.

Man we fished Lake Bob Sandlin Friday and did not do that great on minnows. I had 1 hr. 45 minutes to fish before the firework show on Lake Cypress Saturday and caught 42 on jigs. It was a small brush pile as well. Thanks for the video.

Yes, we use Livescope. I dont' know why the crappie would just come and look at the minnows and do nothing. The only ones I could catch on Bob Sandlin was putting a minnow behind a jig and caught about 6 keepers. On Cypress they were on and used the Livescope some, but for the most part they had done hit it before you had time to use the Livescope. Livescope helps find the fish and know how they are reacting to you jig or minnow, but sometimes they just don't want to bite. Lol.

Just watch your video on 50 crappies in 3 hours hours how awesome is that. If you're using braid how Well does it work with your slip bobber knot. The reason I am asking Is because I have an 8' ACC crappie rod with the cork handle I was just wondering about that small guide closest to the real.

Man this is awesome I remember a time like this before with my grandfather on lake tawakoni it was about 19 76 or '78 and we camped there for about 3 days on the east west side of tawakoni and we caught 50 fish nearly every day and it was awesome but then we did it a lot every year after that these videos bring back so many memories Caleb you're awesome

Yes sir it is all explained in the video. I believe the fist few minutes I explain I’m catching most of my fish in 17-21 feet of water right now, fish are suspended around 12-13 feet deep. I don’t know if I would go that far with it. I mean it’s obvious you can go out and catch 50 without it. But crappie are such prolific spawners, it would be very hard to do. Go to your home lake drop some brush piles of your own , or scan lake for brush piles , don’t matter the lake , either u have your own spots or u find someone else’s spots There’s a RU-vidr that actually goes around the mid/ south / east / west lakes in Texas dfw area and shows himself finding spots at all lakes , Keep in mind , even on your own brush piles u might have tons of fish today and tomorrow or next time nothing
