Appreciate all the detail. About to pull the trigger on 4520z plus rough, finish, etc and you’ve given me pause. How much is this about the dealer vs product… and would you buy it again? Thx in advance
In reality I have gotten a lot of use out of it so far. The issues I have/had weren't that big of a deal but my dealer should have gone over it fully not unboxed it and got it out the door. Ventrac have been working with me and have helped me locate and get in touch with another dealer (out of state) and they have been prompt with questions and getting some extra stuff on order. If you can get one quickly, head to the dealer and walk around it with them. Point out the things you see and I'm sure you will enjoy it like I have.
This tractor would be useless without the Duals. I always expect to know more about whatever I'm going to buy than the dealer I'm buying from, even clear back to the days when all one could do is buy magazines and collect brochures. Anyone planning to buy Ventrac, Should be subscribed to your channel!
I appreciate the comment. Doing research before purchasing for anything is a good idea. It will also teach you some tips and tricks if you pay enough attention. As far as the duals, singles are a good choice for smaller spaces. My first video shows the benefits of not using the duals but also why duals are a good option to have for stability but I never felt the machine was going to tip over. Thanks for watching.
I've had a 4500Y with (4) attachments for 4 years and have absolutely no complaints. The MT720, 6' Snowblade, 4' bucket with grapple and a landscape rake. I've only used the duals twice and admittedly really dont need them. But in my honest opinion--this is a top-quality machine with top-notch attachments. I guess we'll have agree to disagree.
I run singles with axle extenders. Best of both worlds in my opinion- I can get in tight residential properties and still have decent slope mowing capabilities and stability.
@@paolomanca8872 It sounds like the Production line didn't change the mode of the display. I would call Ventrac and Talk with Customer /Technical Support and see if they can walk you thru the steps to take it out of that mode.
Indeed but so far and I've been thru some thick stuff, they haven't been snagged or dropped yet. I swap attachments quite a bit and when they get soiled, they get discarded.
Dude you sounded like that the Ventrac company that has spent countless time on coming up with the design to build and that they have probably sold 1000’s a pond 1000’s of the Ventrac . So if you think that you could have came up with a much better design then why on earth didn’t you come up with it and gotten it patented. The reason that I’m saying this because you kept on throwing off on the way that their specs. So my apologies to everyone out there that will read this message but come on dude if your not at all happy with the design of the Ventrac’s machine don’t throw it out their that you could have came up with a better design, so sell your Ventrac and maybe start designing your own machine and build it to your own likings.
I have zero say or a vested interest in the company. I wasn't paid for this review by anyone. The internet is a place for honest and true information. If you want someone to give you what the company wants you to say like they are reading from a script, you are in the wrong place for that. I paid a lot of money for this and I come from a background of delivering new machines from a manufacturer too. All of these issues trickle down from the people who built it at the factory, all the way to the dealer that "checked" it. If I had the means to build a better device, I would. Thanks for watching.
