I have the same tractor with 15 hours and would never, ever, ever..think of crawling under it with only jack stands when all of that service didn't require the removal of the front tires. Safety in my industry is paramount. Love you Tony, just pointing it out and want you and your followers to be safe.

Jack Stands are OSHA approved. People get under jack stands every day. Jack stands are used to keep people from getting under equipment with hydraulic jacks. I was an OSHA inspector in the Army, so I was the guy that did the safety inspections. Certified and everything. Jack stands have to be inspected yearly for proper function and for damage. Jack stands are an industry standard. I do plenty of things wrong and unsafe, but this isn't one of them. LOL! I do appreciate you caring. If more people cared like you, the world would be a better place. Occupational Safety and Health Standards 1910.244 - Other portable tools and equipment. Hi, I'm a Ret SFC, I brought a TYM T-474 as my birthday present. Never own/operated a tractor before but I wanted one. I'm 9 hours away from the 50 hour service and the so-called manual is without a doubt the worst ever. I see you have the same model. Be nice to see how you do it on your T-474. You just showed the most important thing on tractor service . Whether the tractor has a suction screen or large external filter for the hydraulics . A good friend of mine lost his hydrostatic pump /aux hydraulic pump and drive motor transmission because of a collapsed suction screen plugged . 12000$ later . 😖 . Any sign of surging hydraulics or funny activity on drive . Get on it . He waited . Game over . Good video Tony . 👍👍

Update from 2 weeks ago. Hydraulic Pump Suction Filter. Note the rear wheel does not have to be removed to change this filter. I took rear wheel off for 50 hour, small leak after install. I drained fluid and tried with wheel on, came right out, replaced o-ring and right back in. I'm sure this tip will work on T25. Small rear tires on RK25 may not give enough clearance.

Great video. Hydraulic filter removal was a nightmare. I had to get a buddy to help. 3 correct size band wrenches and a cup (end) tool with 18 in. ratchet. 4 hands pulling on wrenches and it finally broke loose. I had to take the driveshaft out. New filter is Donaldson and case must be 4 times thicker than TYM (original) filter. Sadly no flutes on end though. Oiled gasket, filter touched face, 1/2 turn. I hope no one else has the same problem as I had. T264 I love the tractor though. Golf cart mirrors, light bar on ROP, shortened selector levers,toothbar,chain hooks on bucket,stump grinder.😁

Like you, I'm big on routine maintenance Tony. I did my 50 hour maintenance back in March. I know i don't use my tractor half as much as you, it was less than two years old and only 50 hours on the engine and 39 hours on the PTO. But i went ahead and changed all fluids and filters. I need to take it back to the dealership, I'm still having hydraulic issues. The loader jus barely will pick up a 500#s 50 gallon fuel tank. The mechanic said it was probably restrictions in the hyd. lines. I don't know.
@TonysTractorAdventure
@TonysTractorAdventure 3 года назад
Did you have the problem before the service?
@deanbarr5740
@deanbarr5740 3 года назад
Yes, from the time it was delivered to me I couldn't pick up a bucket load of gravel. After the 50 hour maintenance its a little bit better, the manual says it's good to pick 1400 at the pivot point. My fuel cell weighs about 500 lbs. full of diesel and i can only get it about 2"s off the ground and then i gotta curl the bucket in order to move it. I was thinking the hydraulic pump, but the mechanic says no. Their factory set to protect the tractor. He says its gotta be restrictions in the hoses. I don't know. Its still under warranty so I'm going have them fix it. Thanks Tony.

@TonysTractorAdventure

The loader has its own manual. Still, it is common practice to grease open pins every 8 hours of use. Open pins don't have seals to keep the grease in. More under extreme use. The dash hour meter is based off of the Engine RPM and not the actual time.

Most of these filters and fluids aren’t that expensive and there’s no better way to ensure a lifetime of good service from your tractor than keeping on top of maintenance. Front axle fluid. I know on my Kubota, you change it, then after a couple of hours of running, you check it again and it usually takes a little more to top it off. The last filter is the screen that stops metal particles from reaching the hydraulic pump. It really only needed to be flushed out here, but this is what the book calls for.
